Can't say enough about Nick Carver's course. I found he did a superb job. I also have the reveni spot meter (model I). I also have a pentax analogue which is even bigger than the digital one. However, Nick provides a get indicator to put on the analogue also. Thanks for recommending both Nick's course and the reveni meter. Loved the video!
I did the Nick Carver metering course on the strength of our comments in your video. Great course. I got the original Reveni spot but recently got the AAA battery holder.
Nice photos. All your exposures were at 2.8. Love the Godzilla rock with the green tint. How are the radiation levels in Japan? How much is the light meter?
Is the start up time quicker than the old one? That is the only problem with my Reveni mk 1 but great to have all that functionality in such a small form factor.
I changed the processor in the Mk.2, it has a bit faster boot time. It takes about half the time now. The Mk.1 always felt a little slower in LR44s compared to the AAAs too.
Accuracy of the occluded optic ? I mean if you move your hand holding the meter the reticule will move independently of your opposite eye position which you are basing the position of the reticule on?. So you could be metering a point you are not wanting to meter? Then add in spectacles - opens the scope for more error? I was going to buy one but this is giving me pause because i wear specs too.
If you move it in and out of the view of your good eye, it can work but you need to "remember" what's behind the meter based on what you can still see in your peripheral vision. It's not perfect but it does work.
My man! Thank you so much for the kind words! I wish I could frame this testimonial and hang it on my wall. And dude that cochlea line...

I also bought his course on large format and it's great as well. Makes using my Nikon pc lenses so much fun and I can't live without them now.
Thanks, Erich!

Hey Patrick, thanks for the great review!

2.8 is the lens, its an 80mm f2.8 lens. that's not the exposure used
Timely, I’m looking for something smaller than my Sekonic for an upcoming trip and the Reveni is looking pretty good
Another great video 📹

its about a second or two for me

@@mattbechberger3298 Thanks Matt, I got that battery extension for the AAAs from you and it works great.

I was sort of wondering this as well. How do you know exactly where the meter is pointing in the first place?
So for no use if you only have sight on one eye?
Sadly yes
I would assume so.

Would also be great if it was USB C rechargeable.
I prefer rechargeable aaa batteries
