Bee Man Vs Duck Box Full Of Bees!
Вставка
- Опубліковано 27 вер 2024
- Honey bees had taken over this semi-rotten duck box, good thing I removed them when I did, the thing would've just gotten heavier & heavier & eventually would have fallen, which would not have been a good recipe for happy bees.
At first the bees were a little defensive but once I smoked them some & exposed the hive they did a complete turn around.
I was able to frame up all of the beautiful comb they had drawn out during their stay in the duck box.
These bees wound up going to my good buddy Schawee & were placed in the swamp on 3,000 acres of land to do whatever they please.
So nice to see you posting videos again JP - your channel has always been a favorite of mine and I like many of your UA-cam fans missed seeing your videos and truly wondered how you were and that all was well for you and your family! Loved this video and thanks again for your efforts, always entertaining and educational.

Oh! I've missed you and the girls, JP! Lovely to see you all again! As always, your videos make my day. Thank you ever so much!
I've become interested in bees thanks to you and I always talk to my children (I work in an elementary school) about bees and how wonderful they are and how we should not fear them, but look after them. That's all on you, JP!
I love the way jp explains everything and how gentle he treats the bees. His videos are almost therapeutic

I’ve had a terrible fear of bees due to several reactions to stings. I agree, watching JP with the bees is almost therapeutic
JP you are by far the best beekeeper I have seen. I watch others and they are good. But you are the bee whisperer. Than you for looking like a fool for our pleasure. I really appreciate and love the videos.
I am just amazed at the steps you take to rescue the bees. Finding the queen is so exciting to watch. Fantastic recovery.👏👍😀
✌️🐝✌️
You handle bees so beautifully. Your passion for this is inspirational
Wonderful to get a notification today JP that you have posted! You have such a gentle voice, I could listen to you all day. No wonder these ladies don’t give you a big fuss. Thanks for sharing part of your day with us :)
✌️😘🐝
Hello sir
I’m so glad your back to making videos I have missed watching you with the bees because your one of my favorite channels to watch.
Thank you so much for your kind words & for watching! ✌️🐝✌️
I am 48 seconds in an already completely invested.
Love the new setup. Not dorky at all. Even if it was it would still be cute. Because it's you. Thank you for giving me something to watch while I'm in the hospital. Your videos calm me and actually bring my oxygen level up.
And now I'm going to watch the video. Thank you for being you JP!
Nicely done, JP - and such beautiful white comb it's a pleasure to see.😊
Wow JP ,😮you really knows how to handle the bees and I have never see you get stung by them since I have been watching your videos, you work with the bees as if you’re one of them,😀😎thank for your services, and saving them. Hats off too you mam
You don't seem to be aging much, JP! Love the new angles & your dedication to editing is obvious! Thanks & take care!
Hey JP, it’s my second year beekeeping and I started to get interested in bees thanks to you, I haven’t had the opportunity to catch a swarm yet, but I can’t wait get one!! Awesome video

JP, I have to tell you, About 2 years ago I saw the video of you removing a swarm off the bumper of a young ladies car. No suit, no gloves and they were so gentle. 2 years and hundreds of bee videos later and my wife and I got our first hive last week. The adventure begins! Thank you.
✌️🐝✌️
Love seeing my favourite Bee man making making beeutiful videos again . As always is great to see these girls being moved to a better location.
I am so glad you are back! You have such a great way with the bees. Thank you.
It's wonderful to see you posting new videos. I love watching the way you do cutouts. Many other beekeepers simply vacuum bees and cut comb to frame it later.
We all appreciate your kindness to the ladies, JP. Thank you
Hi, JP. I enjoy your tender/tough way of treating the bees. I know they will have a good home with you. Thanks for sharing! Stay Healthy!
It's so crazy how they act like a collective. I know it sounds obvious at first (especally the way I phrased it), but when you started talking about them "bullying" you, it made me realize that each colony has its own kind of personality, that the whole hive acts as one unified intelligence (sort of). Almost like how the cells in our bodies work together to make something intellegent and sentient.
I know, a little weird of me 😅but either way: Love bees, and I love how gentle you were with them. Awesome video, JP! Can't wait to see more!
It's not all that weird, they are considered a super organism.
Yes, Amanda beat me to it, I often refer to a colony of honey bees as a super organism as they are highly social & make collective decisions, regularly, inherently. You really can’t help but fall in love with these wonderful little creatures, at least most, the super aggressive ones, meh, not so much. 😉✌️🐝✌️
Hi JP, that went smoothly & seems the girls are happy in their new home.
I would have had to be so careful not to fall into the pool 😁
Falling into the pool would be an interesting video. Ha!
Thank you again - I enjoy every one of your videos. I love how gentle you are with the bees and the comb.
Great to see you posting on UA-cam again JP, always a pleasure to watch you work.
So glad to see you back. You are the gold standard of bee videos.
Hey jp,i live in ireland and i love how you go about removing and rehoming the bees.ive watched all your videos at least three times,so i thought i better subscribe.love your channel.keep up the great work .
Thank you for watching, really appreciated it! ✌️🐝✌️
@@JPthebeeman no worries jp.
Absolutely amazing! Those girls are going to be very happy with their new home. Good on you, mate!
Happy to see you back on youtube. I watch your videos for the fun of it, not to ridicule, I am amazed how you can manipulate them into your boxes without them attacking you. It almost gives me the courage to build and maintain a colony, but not quite, LOL.
JB you never disappoint. Love watching you work, like Picasso working with oils. Great video, love the content, amazing to watch. Thank you. 👍🏼
I have learned so much by watching your videos. Before watching I didn't even know what a queen looked like. Glad to see you are posting this year as the season comes in.
Jp with the upgrades I love it 😂 I appreciate the work you put into making your videos even better
Whatever dorkiness you may feel is all in your head. Love the new camera angles.
9:48 bee rescue within bee rescue. 🐝
I love the new view thanks for feeling dorky for us, though I don't think you looked dorky.
Another perfect colony pick up! Excellent job :) I like the new chest cam.. hope it didn't annoy you too much!
I actually got use to it pretty quickly & I much prefer the footage with the chest harness vs a head harness as we tend to move our heads a lot when we work, chest harness so much better!
yes JP!!! loving this new batch of content, can't get enough
It just amazes me how you don't get a bunch of stings working with that amount of bees!!!! Love your videos - tks!!
I love watching you work. You're so calm and gentle and know exactly what you're doing. You've taught me a LOT about Honey Bees, and I thank you. Don't stop sharing your work with us! NY GUN GRANNI
✌️🐝✌️
Great to see you back, you were very much missed.
That is one busy little Queen and her ladies are very attentive to her as well. Nice job getting them into the new home they will like it better for sure. Have a great day
I missed you I'm glad you're back, for as long as you want to bee, and I still have you on all notifications. hugs
✌️🐝✌️
You're looking rather healthy my man! Nice to see that!
Really makes my Friday seeing a new video from you! Thanks for posting Sir.
I love you JP. You are the best. I really missed you. I'm glad you are back.
Yay bee season season is back and so is JP! Missed ya brother.
Always learning something new,I love that you don’t talk too much JP much love🇨🇦❤️😘
J P, I’ve been watching you now I think 2 years, and I can’t understand why you don’t get stung. Just amazing.
I get stung, sometimes. I just roll with most stings, now if they’re what we call the “burning” type, you’ll see me suit up at some point, usually.
I really enjoy your videos JP. Thanks for sharing.
I'm surprised how robust the honeycombs seem to be. I always imagined them to be really fragile.
It depends on how old the comb is, very new comb is very fragile. The temperatures outside & in the void space they are occupying makes a huge difference too. If the combs are very warm they tend to be very fragile.
Why DO you do what YOU do. 😂love that line. Thanks for the video as always ❤
Love watching you and the bees!
It's so good to see someone making their living doing what they love to do. I really enjoy your videos JP. Thank you for providing a truly necessary and important service, both for us and the bees. ✌🏻❤
So glad it’s BEE SEASON again. Missed all you bee guys!
✌️🐝✌️
Hi JP -when you framed that comb and held it up for us to see, the way the sun was shining through it was pretty 😊
Hi JP it's great to see you back on UA-cam. Tom and I ( Jeri ) TOM AND JERRY 😊 we've been watching your videos a good while. Thanks
They basically filled out that duck box like a six frame nuc. Great job as usual.
I love your videos, JP! I’ve learned so much.
✌️🐝✌️
Loved to see you back on the box JP... That Westbank accent bra,.. nothing but love for ya Bra!!!

I did enjoy @JP! Always like to watch you work.
There's other bee channels on UA-cam but you're by far the best one.
You are far too kind. ✌️🐝✌️
I missed your videos, happy to see you posting again
Great video thanks for sharing this kind rescue. We need every bee!🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝
It was really a pleasure as usual, thanks for sharing !
So pleased to see you good looking I miss your videos and you have showed me so much thank you
✌️🐝
Mannn, you are awesome. Masterful handling of these bees ❤
Great Video as always JP.. Not sure what it is with old rotting duck boxes but yours are now the 3rd occassion I know of where this has happened, No actually 4th as I just remembered the one in Cambridge in 2012
One thing that always amazes me is how the bees know when to cut the bands off at the right time once they have attached the the comb to the top of the frame securely. The bees I rescued last have already chucked the bands out side the entrance all 9 of them. I checked inside the hive and all is perfectly attached in the frame. They only nibble the bands a little bit at first but soon as comb buiding is complete they all join in to get the bands off.
I love watching… having a fantastic day…🤛🏼
Wow it's just amazing how you do this over and over again! It's amazing how those bees 🐝 just let you do what you have to do to keep them safe 🙏. You do an amazing job. Thank you. 😊 I know I couldn't do it because I'm allergic to them 😢. It's really is awesome how the bees just work away too. 😅lololol like your not there at all. Have a blessed day! FLORIDA 🇺🇸
Awesome stuff, really enjoy your video's 🤩
You’re so gentle with them, and they’re gentle with you.
Love your work JP
Nice swarm capture. Thanks for sharing.
Fabulous. I am calm just listening to you so I get it that the bees are. Top job and I envy you the experience. 👍
✌️🐝✌️
Had the same situation, but the duck box was about twenty feet up a huge pine tree overlooking a pond.
🥴✌️🐝
Happy to see you making videos again.
It's awesome to have you back b man
Thank you! 👍🐝
Congrats to 200k subs finally crossing the line :)
I feel extremely fortunate to have the subscribers I do & that people take time out of their busy day to watch the videos. I put a lot of work into the editing, especially since sometimes I’m using as many as three different cameras. Some UA-camrs can put a video together in one sitting , I don’t know how they do it. Quite often I’ll work on one video for three full days before putting it out, so you can imagine how appreciative I am when a particular video is well received, drives me to make more.
Thank you for watching. ✌️🐝✌️
You make it look so easy JP.
lovely , enjoy watching , the pool looked inviting!
It was!
Yeah JP is back glad to see you
And great to see you here, thanks for watching! ✌️🐝✌️
I think you said you laugh each time you get stung. Can you let us know how many stings you got at the end of each video? Thanks so much JP. 👍
Awesome video JP , you made it look so easy, your just a master at it, those bees seem to have a good temperament , thanks for sharing.
Sorry JP, I was thinking it , and as soon as the thought left my mind you said it😂😂😂 just move it 😂😂😂
Uhhuh 😉✌️🐝
Congratulations on 200k followers buddy !!!
Thanks!!
Don't worry about what someone else might do! You know your Craft, and nothing else matters, except the Bees!
I love the gentleness in the way you handle them. This was a great video JP.
That was a beautiful shot of the guard bees before removing the front face of the box!
I definitely enjoyed your video. I’ll have to watch the other ones super fan of your channel. Keep making those good videos. Thanks.
You must be in love with honey. Out of all the jobs out there you picked this job brother.😘
🫡 you know it ✌️🐝✌️
Pollen and busy bees. Good video.
Good to see you posting again 👍
Glad to see you back.
Did you put bee go or something on them? I love how they got right off the comb! You make it look so easy. Love it.
No, just a little smoke. Some bees believe it or not will abandon comb very quickly with a little bit of smoke, I take that as a bonus as it gives me the opportunity to pull & frame up comb while they are off of it.
Before I started using Honeybgone, I used Fischer’s bee quick. There was a brief period (like a few months) years ago when it wasn’t available so I only had two options: bee go or honey robber.
Both of those products I’m pretty sure contain butyric acid which is an extreme eye irritant (they used butyric acid in Whale Wars).
I used honey robber on two occasions & will never use it again. It stinks to high heaven & I found that it greatly disorientated the bees.
That's amazing how God created the honey bee's and their functions for us!! God Bless!!
So happy to see you again ❤❤❤
Wow the birds sound amazing!
Imagine our world without wildlife, would be very sad. I hear people say sometimes that they are very bored, I say, walk out your front door, immerse yourself in nature, it’s free therapy.
I thought it was you who said years ago, swarming bees are docile as they haven't a territory to defend. These girls have a territory but pretty new place it looks like. Great video.
I did say that. For the most part swarms are usually gentle, unless it’s a “dry” swarm. Dry swarms will tear you up.
This was an established colony albeit they’d been there perhaps 6 weeks.
