Now people think momon has sacrificed his life for their safety and will share every secret with him, so every secret will be leaked to nazaric as well. And since they can rely on momon(which was confirmed in front of their eyes to be equal to ainz), their fear of him went down a lot and so did the chance of people fighting back. Ainz gave Gazef the only respect he could offer. He fought him with nothing held back. The sheer, terrifying heights of Ainz's killing potential is insane. He will win any duel, hands down, against an opponent that cannot both resist temporal manipulation AND resist instant-death spells. And even then, he will win any duel against anyone who resists both of those, but cannot kill him in the 12 seconds before TGOALID finishes.
I would seriously recommend reading the novel from the beginning, since considering that they adapt 3 volumes per season, the amount of things that are cut is quite considerable. Overall I think the adaptation was pretty good but between the massive cuts and the bad CGI I feel like it loses quite a few points. 😣

I feel that I need to say this just in general first the conditions necessary to kill ainz it's very specific with that sword. But it is possible to kill him with it. Now let me give you a little bit of context here how rare it is for players from yggdrasil to have time magic 5% of the total population of yggdrasil have time magic
Razor edge, like the ring climb now has, was made by wild magic by dragon lords. They are items/beings potentially created BEFORE the world was bound by Yggdrasil’s rules (polluting said magic) and are essentially world items in their own right. With the dagger scene, ainz was showing gazef that his high tier physical nullification ability is completely bypassed by razor edge despite the weapons data being considered lower than level 60.
Eh none of the dragon artifacts are on the level of power of world items, five warrior levels is incredibly useful for a level 100 warrior and the blade can bypass ainz basic defenses but... The sword isn't impressive because it's strong, its impressive because it is weak. Gazef would have been better off if ainz handed him a level appropriate blade though it was all pointless anyway.

Please keep in mind that if Razor’s Edge was on par with a World Item Ainz would have insisted on keeping it after the duel. World Items can literally change the world. You saw how upset Ainz was in Season 1 (and book 3 )when he realized world items existed in this world. He would never hand a World Item or similar tiered artifact back so easily, nor would he allow the kingdom to hold on to it. Wild magic has some significance later on in the books/web novel but it’s not as crazy as you’re making it seem. It’s really just a different type of magic that not a lot of people in this world are old enough to know about.

Ainz has a deep hatred for the owner of the world item that brainwashed shalltear (the theocracy) and was ashamed that he didn’t think that they existed in that world. Wild magic was able to turn the game world and code of Yggdrasil into reality, along with possessing abilities akin to other world items like the twenty

The orb builds power the longer it's equipped. Now Im not saying it's still true in the ln, just that we did at one point see the blade touch a world item in the webnovel. Which is the only interaction we ever see.
My favorite thing about this series is the fact it makes you care about all sorts of characters for different reasons. I can respect Gazef, be awed by Ainz most impressive plots and hate the chaos that ensues and the people who die but its still hard to hate Ainz and the guardians for their clear vision and dedication to their ideals. Ainz may not care if he stepped on a baby and killed it but he doesn't believe in pointless violence or violence for violence sake like some of the more evil members of Nazarick, solution, lupus, demiurge etc. Still a great character, with incredible intelligence and knowledge. He is also very believable as a real smart person in believing himself nothing too special which is very common among real genius. Its the idiots who believe that they are somehow special and therefore are 'special' in their own way.
Hio when you read the novels it woud be great if you make from time to time a video (maybe after each vol) ant tell what you think of it. With that you can alsow explain to the nonreaders what the differences are and if you think if it tis better that the anime left thinks out or not. (i already read everything but it woud be interesting for the others^^)
