This is a great tutorial! I’ve always wondered if there was a better way to use this thread. Would love to see a complete finishing tutorial or how you finish into an ornament.
Thank you! I use Vonna Pfeiffer's methods on finishing ornaments - you can find her ornament finishing tutorials by searching Vonna the twisted stitcher here on UA-cam, they're the best out there.
Love the “ peak beard awesomeness “ you created. Thank you for the tips on what needle works best and why, and when to use a hoop or not to use one. Thank you.🪡🪡🎄
Oh my! Thank you, So so much for this tutorial!! I had no idea how to use Fuzzy Stuff, or Whisper threads! I have them, but have been putting all projects off that call for using either of them out of fear of messing it up!
Thank you for the tutorial. I was just searching for tutorials on how to use this fiber yesterday. I’m contemplating using it on an Easter chick in a pattern I’m preparing to kit.
Thanks for the tip! This would work great for Gnome beards too. I use their Wisper for beards and critters (you can do small stitches with it) but it isn’t nearly as fuzzy.
It would! My mom once did a fabulously fluffy beard with Wisper on a needlepoint Petei santa, but I think it took her about fifty layers - Fuzzy Stuff is easier for sure
Fuzzy stuff vs Wisper 88 👍 TY, very cool. I might have to add it to my PS Santa 2024, the beard only. I think longer staggered stitches to reduce bulk on Back and then next new length to fill-in since the directional of the 2024 Santa is facing straight forward. the bunny tails might be cute too on this one, even though tiny. Nice tutorial, TY
Sincere thanks Katie. Great tutorial. I sure appreciate the time you put into filming for us all.
Thank you so much - that's really kind, and I appreciate you saying so. They do take work so it's incredibly gratifying to know it's appreciated!

Thanks for the demonstration I have been wanting to add this to my prairie schooler Xmas decoration. You have saved me from the trial and error stages
Thank you@

Thank you, I'm so glad you liked it! And definitely give your threads a try - you can get some really fun effects, and it's truly not hard.

Thank you for the tutorial. At times it was a little hard to see because the fabric was in constant movement.
Thank you - I stitch in hand, it happens.

Thank you! It's a technique that can take a lot of experimentation - you might be able to do bunny tails with long straight stitches in enough layers!
@@katiestrachanembroidery Thanks, will try on bunny tails.
Thank you so much. Looked at notes but what count and color is this. ❤
Legacy Linen 38 count Wayfarer's Cloak
Me again…. Also what fabric do you stitch them on and what color are those handsome guys stitched on!
Linen, 38 count!
Hi Katie do you use the called for floss colors for your Pairie Schooler Santas? Thank you!😘
I don't - this is an original silk conversion, kit launches on Tuesday!
