In the plane from Detroit to the Hollywood Bowl concert, the Experience signed an autograph to a passenger but of course it was not one of the first Experience autograph as all together they already signed quite a lot since October 1966. Correct, she appeared in quite a few pictures featured in the July episode. I was not previously aware her until doing the recent research. Jimi was a massive flirt, and remember the 'summer of love' was all about 'free love', 'no strings attached' relationships, if such a thing is genuinely possible? Also, as would be expected, there was almost a never-ending battles amongst his love interests for attention, which I suspect he thrived on, not least having endured the loss of his mother at an early age?
Me too! Every successive month gets more, and more, interesting, exciting and, I won't say disappointing, but as we all know the outcome, the trajectory of Jimi's life is tinged with sadness, which personally don't subscribe too! Though he certainly experienced frustration with factors that impacted the creative process, towards 1969/70. Thanks

You really need to ditch the AI commentary! Mispronunciations and grammatical errors make this irritating beyond belief. Also, how about using the photographs in the right place rather than simply repeating them. In some episodes I’ve noted the same photos being mentioned against several gigs - the same woman by the stage, with the same expression, night after night? Come on, try harder.

Jimi Hendrix & Me... One day in 1967 we (me and my fellow band mates) got a strange phone call from a musician friend in Windsor, Ontario. He insisted that we had to come to Windsor right away, because there was a band that was going to play that weekend, August 15th, in Ann Arbor, Michigan (across the border). He said we were going to be completely and totally blown away because the guitarist was better than Clapton. We gasped! How could this be possible? Who could it be? He said he had an album from England that wasn’t even released yet in the US. Intrigued, a group of us drove from Hamilton, Ontario down to Windsor and I remember when we all first heard the album… Are You Experienced, by The Jimi Hendrix Experience. We were stunned and shocked. We had never heard music or guitar playing like that before. Where did this guy come from? This is who we’re going to hear? Imagine our anticipation. So we went to the club in Ann Arbor that Saturday night. Just a small club and a hundred people at most. I stood right in front of the two foot high stage within arm’s reach of Jimi and watched the whole set at point blank range. He played so incredibly well that night that we were utterly devastated. We hid in the bathroom (poor, starving musicians) to stay for the second show and we met Jimi in the bathroom. The second set was just as good as the first. Later on, I saw Hendrix a number of times in big concerts and he didn’t play anywhere near as good as that night in the club. In fact, during the last song, he smashed his amp (Marshall stack) and guitar (white Fender Strat), and during the frenzy, I got his guitar strap, which I used proudly on my gigs as a badge of honor for years to come. I gave the strap away in 1971 to my friend and fellow guitarist in my band. On the drive home from the club, we were like a car full of vegetables. There was dead silence. We didn’t know what to say. We were in a blissful stupor. It was overwhelming to say the least. I learned many years later while reading a coffee table book by Noel Redding that Hendrix had just been kicked off the Monkees’ tour and they were languishing in New York, when the call for this gig came through. Lucky for us. In the book, he couldn’t remember if it was Detroit or Ann Arbor. I remember vividly. Well, needless to say, as soon as Are You Experienced came out in North America, we were the first band to play a collection of Hendrix tunes. Being the good copycat that I was, and having had the benefit of direct close up observation (he used a black Fuzz Face), I was able to faithfully recreate some of the sonic magic that is embodied in Hendrix’s music and guitar playing (yes, I even played with my teeth) - what to speak of wearing his guitar strap while doing it - big time mojo! The pictures of Jimi at the 5th Dimension show the strap I got that night, eg: 24:00.
An exhaustive and incredibly detailed insight into the amazing life of a brilliant musician.

Its very surprising Jimi was openly violent to women +to Kathy (even his bouncers never stopped jimi) ,the drink must of made Jimi like his dad Kathy said throu drink Jimi was awful.

YUPPERZ!!!
Both Mitch & Noel, talked about how drink, made Jimi n2 a rite bastard. Not only, did he attack WOmen, while drunk, BUTT male bandmatez & friendz. Drunk Hendrix, n RAINBOW BRIDGE, wuz no fun.
After reading 1 account, of Jimiz drunken bhaviour, I felt sorry 4 both, nvolved. Hendrix punched Paul Caruso, n da stomach & accused him of stealing from him. I don't think Paul even knew whut da hell wuz going on, & then WACK, rite n da gut.
Felt sorry 4 Hendrix, cause stuff comez out, when ur drunk. OBVIOUSLY, Hendrix wuz byond tired of gittin ripped off & having thingz stolen from him.

Few people have seen
the other side of Jimi Hendrix.

We ALL have a good side & a dark side. MOST peepz, serendipitously, do durt 2 u & if u peep their game, ur wrong, or u ain't supposed 2 say nuthin. Record labelz & DUH GovernMENRAL appaRATus, r 2 such culpritz.
I'm not sayin any WOman Jimi wuz wit dserved 2 git beaten up, xcept Dolly Dagger/Devon Wilson ( 4 her XXXploitz wit Mick Jagger, on Jimiz last burfday, on Earth. ) Jimi didn't beat her azz, he just wrote a song. Hendrix SUPPOSEDLY accused Kathy Etchingham of cheating on him & beat her wit a public phone booth, phone! Kathy sayz, dat never happened. There r otha accountz. A blonde, near da end, named Carmen Borrero, I blieve, received a laceration, 2 her eye, bcause Hendrix blieved she wuz n cahootz wit sumbody, who robbed him, yet again.

An Asian WOman, wuz beaten, da day Jimi jammed wit Taj Mahal & Experience bandmatez, reportedly kicked Jimi out a hotel room, bcause he wuz physically fighting wit a lover & da lady followed Hendrix out of da hotel room & kept fighting. Mitch & Noel cleaned up & got rid of drug stuff, just n time 2 b able 2 tell da police, dat they didn't know about any dsturbance.

Of course, n Sweden, Hendrix got drunk & just started tearing up his hotel room, 4 sum reason. Mitch & Noel came n 2 c whut wuz up & 4 sum reason, Jimi attacked Noel. Mitch got nvolved & 2gether, he & Noel, were able 2 subdue Jimi. Mitch sat on Jimi & asked him if he wuz cool, BUTT when he'd git off him, Jimi went 4 Noel again. ( WTF?!? Noel, still gitz beaten up on, by Jimi fanz. They even TRY & rewrite history, claiming Noel couldn't play Bass, worth a dayum! A 3rd of a trio, not sounding good, would haveta mean dat band sucked & The Jimi Hendrix Experience, did NOT suck! Noel, still gittin his azz kicked, by fanz, tho. - SMH ) Hendrix, ended-up arrestted, over dat row wit Noel & 4 messing up his hotel room, n Sweden.
There mayb otha eventz, BUTT datz all I remember, off da top of my head. VERY tumultuous, albeit short life. Jimi did mo n 27 yearz, than most people will do, wit 100 yearz. Mayb he wuz doin 2 much.
CARNT wait for band of gypsies story and Woodstock and isle of white (Kris Kristofferson said they throw shit at Hendrix NO they didn't or it missed )
Thanks
Ive been unsubscribed twice already
How come?
JIMI WAS ABOUT IN THE 90S I REMEMBER IT WELL BECAUSE OF BRITPOP HENDRIX AND THE LIKE BECAME RELEVENT AGAIN THE LAST GREAT DECADE FOR GREAT MUSIC FROM OLD ACTS TO THE NEW IT WAS THE NEW 60S A FINE TIME IN HEARING THE BEST MUSIC PERIOD IN HISTORY 67 79
The wonderful thing about Jimi's music is that it almost transcends time. Thanks for your comments! Cheers
Fair enough! Thanks for your comments. Cheers
Go on then :P
Send me a link to your work, brother. lol

Fair call. Fact is, I try to do the best with the available resources. As much as possible I try to match pictures relevant to the story but a lot of events were simply not photographed, but your criticism is noted. Cheers!
Awesome! Thank you so much for contributing your story! Cheers.
@@BELLY_BUTTON_WINDOW Thanks for all those details. I thought I might see myself in the crowd pics, but no luck.
I feel like Michael Jeffries is the narrator. He sounds creepy and manipulative.
I never thought of that before. Interesting!
