@@MrMimiM either way Jesse has done a lot of work on himself since Atonement released. And he has said this has been the most difficult record for him to make.
My dad introduced me to Killswitch back in the day. He used to blast The End of Heartache when he picked me and my brother up from school. Have loved KSE ever since and the new song is great!
This is very much a mix of old school and new Killswitch Engage. I’ll never not be a fan of these guys. Both either with Howard or with Jesse. Both deliver some memorable experiences. Now we look forward to the new album.
You should really check out Jesse's and Adam's side project "Times of Grace"! The self-titled album is a masterpiece and in my option the best work since the old days. Would love a review from you for this album!
Seems like it's younger fans of modern metal who must be complaining about the mix because it sounds fine to me, the whole vibe of the song and video is more 2000's, hence the lofi album cover and aspect ratio, I'd say they nailed it.
I didnt even notice the tambourine the first time I heard it, but since you pointed it out, it is sooooooo loud and definitely ruins the chorus. Man...
Was always their logo written with Parkway Drive font???? Anyway, they are really consistent in their style… they are not like “modern metalcore” bands, but their style never gets old, always fits well every decade.
I'm not a big fan of the chorus either, but not because of the tambourine. I just think it kills the momentum of the song. I'm hoping the album is good. Atonement was just ok for me and a major disappointment because they've set the bar so high with how good most of their albums have been.
I don’t like it. Especially the chorus. They’ve had a few good moments since End of Heartache, but I personally feel after that album they lost the plot and now are trying to balance pleasing the longtime fans with appealing to mainstream audiences in the chorus. It’s nice to have Jesse back and see the band still going, but I’ll always love the self titled (2000) and AOJB the most.
i'm kind of ambivalent to this mix. it sounds a little too dry especially with the drums, and of course you got that really loud tambourine in the chorus. it almost feels like the vocals are too forward in the chorus too and everything else is kinda shoved to the side. but the guitars sound pretty sick and the songwriting itself is pretty neat, but it's a bit of a headscratcher why it sounds like this. love it or hate it, all that remains proved you can meld modern sound production with classic metalcore and make it sound massive af. honestly, this song is pretty much just par for the course for kse standards so chances are i won't be spinning this that much if at all
I love that KSE are always lyrically inspiring. They leave you so uplifted rather than sad. Also tambourines are cool!
There's too much metalcore with depressive lyrics.
This is a great point you make-hadn’t thought of it that in depth until now. Incredibly uplifting.
Jesse had vocal chord surgery, and did vocal training, thats why it has been so long since Atonement. 5 years.
Well it paid off because he sounds incredible
surgery was in 2018 before Atonement...

“I like tambourine in choruses”
@@Keverember then there's an uncultured vocals guy in me asking What's a tamberine?
One of the GOAT vocalists for sure

Nah, tambourine doesn't bother me. Easily one of the best chorus and songs of the year.
Fully agree! Such a weird hill for him to die on

Oh hell yeah, I also got introduced with Incarnate, or even better, it was my first metalcore Band i fell in love with. Such an banger album
The tambourine is quite loud haha
The mix is sick btw, I love hearing the bass.

This is KSE alright.
For me it's the other way around. The chorus is the best part in this song
I have no idea what tambourine you're talking about...? I am confused.
focus on the double kicks in the chorus
Now you know how your girlfriend felt about the sax in Avralize - Canvas
I think the Wage War song is Circle the Drain
Go to listen band called diamonds to dust really underrated band and high quality

I kinda like the chorus but it feels like the same thing they dl

I kinda dig the tambourine lol
Not a huge fan of the mix, but Jesse sounds incredible.
Well i'm joining the tambourine haters club :D
love your channel man
@adityapillai2157 Thanks man 🔥✌️
It rocks!! Kse is killing it!🤘 Tambourine? 🤔 i have to disagree 100%! Stop ruining the sound for fans who love the band. 🖤

I love the mix personally.
Not a fan of the mix, I love the chorus tho (minus the tambourine since you pointed it out haha).
Oh wow this RIPS!
waiting for your reaction on knock loose ft poppy on jimmy kimmel ;)
Reaction on new single Great American Ghost pls
tambourine is the new sax I'm calling it
It sucks they are really milking that KSE formula pretty hard..
Pretty solid song, but almost everything they've done since Disarm the Descent sounds the same to me.
what a crazy thing to say
weak song for me, hard to get into, the mix is weird, I'll give it 5/10
everyone keeps saying this but if you listen to it on spotify or whatever instead of UA-cam, the mix sounds fine
This song has lost me on the chorus...
OG metalcore>>>>>djent
