Aquascaping is a great hobby and i enjoy it. Though aquariums and hardscapes are just too overpriced these days!

I understand getting the HardScape material from a decent store, but what if we want to get it all from outside nature/ wild, how can you cure that wood and stone of that size and what precautions should be taken?

Wash it and bake it or use heat for a few hours to kill any bacteria etc.
