Mike Horner was a contestant on Jeopardy on November 6th, 1992. That was Tom Nosek’s 4th game on Jeopardy. Tom Nosek went on to become a 5 time undefeated Jeopardy champion and would end up winning the 1993 Tournament of Champions on Jeopardy. Here’s the Jeopardy archive link to the episode Mike Horner was on www.j-archive.com/showgame.php?game_id=5312
From the Comedy Central game show "Win Ben Stein's Money", this is a mid-2000 episode in season four and it's also the first Ben Stein Cup Tournament episode (to determine who will win $25,000). The three contestants competing on this episode are Benjamin, Tom & Mike. 🇺🇸 🇺🇸
The major flaw with this show is that you lose nothing by guessing. That means you should try and buzz in first every single time no matter what. With a lot of questions being fairly easy, the game almost always goes to the person who can buzz in faster than the other. It happens in Jeopardy too but not anywhere near the extent that this show does.
If only this show was streaming on Paramount Plus...
That Mike even won is impressive. And Win Ben Stein's Money really needs to come back, as it worked like a clock.
Awesome, keep these Ben Steins coming.
Such a great episode of Win Ben Stein’s Money

And then, of course, Tom Nosek went on to compete in the 10th Anniversary Tournament, which Frank Spangenberg won.
0:50 It's the tournament of champions!
2:10: I hope somebody has Benjamin's first episode where he had the Jeopardy problem. That would be sweet.
I wanna see it cause I believe that’s the one where Jimmy put the dunce cap on Ben, only for him to take it off and throw it into the audience.
@@arcanesylph1344 There's at least three on here. Yeah we need more.
20:22 He's won $25,000 ben steins money 💰🤑💸💲💶💵 congratulations Mike
$30,000 Total! Mike is the ultimate WBSM champion ever!

I was afraid for a while, but Mike did it!
20:21 Mike wins $25,000!
15:26 Mike is the champion of champions!
That was the largest Jimmy Kimmel saw someone won on Win Ben Stein's Money. Now, he saw someone won $125,000 on Celebrity Millionaire.
@Jay Robinson I remember that too.
He had Ben Stein as his Phone-a-Friend.
He also saw Anderson Cooper win $500,000 for charity.
I had to buy a cup for high school football. The salesman asked, "what size"? I thought he was going to whip out a tape measure.
I wonder in a $25,000 episode if the contestant and Ben tied in the final round.
AFAIK there were only two of these and the other one was also a full win.
Probably an extra $5K since a tie awarded an additional 20% of the top prize to their upfront winnings.
you're very smart@@retroflashbackdude
20:45 $25,000 + $5,000 = $30,000

Kimmel should of just stayed on this show

What was the last question? A cypherphobe?
Why they never went up to a million dollar show
0:45 $5,000 × 5 = $25,000
i use the puns in my daily life to dazzle others.
That's hacky . One day someone will call you on it and you'll look cheesier than a dairy farm .

Is that actual $100 bills falling from the ceiling?
All the bills on the show are only prop money. The contestants get their checks 30 days after the original episode airs.
Mid 2000s lol bro must be a time traveler.
Man I like this version of Jimmy Kimmel more than today's version
Of course.. he wasnt controlled to the max yet, still a man
