You Don't Say! (April 25, 1963) with Mary Tyler Moore & Kennan Wynn

Hollywood Squares (October 10, 2003) with Eartha Kitt
Переглядів 33 тис.4 роки тому
The episode directly following my previous upload, this one starting at the bonus game with an English Equestrian vacation at stake! Celebrities are Stephen Collins, Gina Lee Nolin, Tyson Beckford, Penn & Teller, Eartha Kitt, Chris Spencer, Judy Tenuda, Kennedy, and Martin Mull. All uploads are for archival purposes and do not intend to infringe on any copyright holders' rights. If there are an...

I honestly don't know how I've gone this long without uploading some of H2, aka the Henry Winkler-headed era of Bergeron Squares. This is probably where the show really peaked in enjoyment value, not to mention the great set and bonus game. This is from the final season, which switched to a straddling format that I've always preferred. Celebrities are Stephen Collins, Gina Lee Nolin, Tyson Beck...
Battlestars (April 6, 1982) with Bowzer, Rip Taylor, & Betty White

The episode directly following the previous one, because why not. Philip McKeon, Debbie Reynolds, Jenilee Harrison, Rip Taylor, Jon Bauman as Bowzer, and Betty White are the day's Battlestars. All uploads are for archival purposes and do not intend to infringe on any copyright holders' rights. If there are any issues, please tell me so and I will comply as best I could.

Another short-lived but fun game show from the 80s, this one taking on a *very* Hollywood Squares-like format and starring Alex Trebek (and wouldn't you know, this was from the same production company shortly after HS itself got canned). Philip McKeon, Debbie Reynolds, Jenilee Harrison, Rip Taylor, Jon Bauman as Bowzer, and Betty White are the day's Battlestars. All uploads are for archival pur...
Bruce Forsyth's Hot Streak (February 3rd, 1986)

Another episode from the short-lived ABC gem, with a rare final result in the main game! All uploads are for archival purposes and do not intend to infringe on any copyright holders' rights. If there are any issues, please tell me so and I will comply as best I could.
Bruce Forsyth's Hot Streak (January 16th, 1986)
Переглядів 18 тис.4 роки тому
Here's a gem that really got overlooked at the time. This fun game, hosted by late British legend Bruce Forsyth, combines Pyramid-like description passing with intuition, as a 5-person team must communicate a subject along each other without repeating key words. It only ran for 13 weeks on ABC, but it saw a successful 12-year run in Germany as Ruck Zuck. So there's that. This episode is from it...
The Better Sex (mid-1977)
Переглядів 18 тис.4 роки тому
This short-lived ABC show, despite the name that wouldn't at all fly today, was a pretty fun one involving bluffs and intuition. But, like many game shows of the time, only a handful of episodes exist. Two of them were aired by Buzzr a couple years ago (which you can find elsewhere on UA-cam with little problem), but this one wasn't, so here you go. All uploads are for archival purposes and do ...
Hollywood Squares (December 21, 1998) - First taped episode!
Переглядів 68 тис.4 роки тому
Although it aired three months into the series' run, this was the very first episode made for Tom Bergeron's HS, as evidenced by the little cold open at the beginning. This contains some clear differences in both the cosmetics and the format that would quickly be changed; see if you can spot them all! Celebrities are Brian Austin Green, Richard Jeni, Laraine Newman, Caroline Rhea, Jeffrey Tambo...
The All New Let's Make a Deal (May 20, 1986; ep 332) with Carol Merrill and Jay Stewart cameo

Yeah, my uploads have been rather slow lately. Haven't had much time to think about what to upload here, but they'll pick up again in due time. Until then, here's something that aired on Buzzr yesterday. What makes this episode interesting is not just Monty's original partners appearing for the 4600th LMAD in history, but also the fact that for a very long time, this was thought to be the final...
Liar's Club (early 1977) with Betty White and Burt Reynolds
Переглядів 18 тис.4 роки тому
Here's one game show from the mid-70s that is among my favorites that often go overlooked. This show involved a lot of betting and guesswork based on the bizarre objects presented on the stage and the celebrities' colorful descriptions of them. This particular show, hosted by Bill Armstrong, has on the panel Larry Hovis, Betty White (whose husband opens the show on a surprising note), Burt Reyn...

You Don't Say! (July 7, 1975) - Premiere of ABC version
Переглядів 24 тис.4 роки тому
Here's a long-forgotten show from the old days. This was a take on Password where contestants teamed up with celebrities to use soundalike phrases in order to form a famous name. It ran on NBC for six years in the 60s, and it got revived in 1975 with a more Match Game-like format because... that show was popular, I guess. Didn't see the same success, with only 5 months. This is the recently-dis...
The $128,000 Question - 1978 pitchfilm
Переглядів 13 тис.4 роки тому
In Alex Trebek's long history of game shows, some of his most significant experience on the quiz side prior to Jeopardy! was his one year hosting the late 1970s revival of the $64,000 Question. Here's a recently-discovered pitchfilm with various highlights (predominantly from Alex's season), with memorable contestants, big winners and the playoff where Barbara-Anne Eddy wins the top prize. All ...

And now an episode from the one-season Robin Ward run, with probably the best-known Warner Bros/Looney Tunes cartoonist that ever lived, and whose influence lives on to this day. Panelists are Pat Collins, Nipsey Russell, Margaret Trudeau, and John Wayne. All uploads are for archival purposes and do not intend to infringe on any copyright holders' rights. Margaret Trudeau is the mother of the “ever popular” Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.
Oscar the grouch was the best that sesame Street Muppet guest starred in so many different shows he was one of my favorites
Second bonus round. He wins 675, Jack counts out 775. :D
Jack Berry was in on the NBC quiz show fracas ….
Was CC still in his addictions here? Very fidgety and trouble getting everything out. He was much better on The Surreal Life, which wouldn't have been much later than this.
Would love to see this show get a reboot for primetime with one of the networks picking it up.
In my area, KATC-TV 3 Lafayette, LA aired the following syndicated Game Shows: 9:00 A.M. - Tic Tac Dough with Jim.Caldwell 9:30 A.M. - Headline Chasers with Wink Martindale 3:30 P.M. - The NEW Newlywed Game with Bob Eubanks 4:00 P.M. - JEOPARDY! with Alex Trebek 4:30 P.M. - The Nighttime Price is Right with Tom Kennedy 6:30 P.M. - Nighttime Wheel of Fortune with Pat Sajak & Vanna White 10:35 P.M. - Love Connection with Chuck Woolery
Surprised that Ben Stein didn't get the Judah and Israel one.
back when Kimmel was Steins power bottom bitch boy. Ahh the 90's, thank God I was born then.
I loved Win Ben Stein's Money.. It was basically like really tough Jeopardy.
Wait! Wut? A vegetarian who is telling everyone he is a vegetarian. Who’d thunk it?
This isn't from the mid-2000s... The show ran from 1997 to January 2003
Back when jimmy was sort of cool.
12:57-13:08 We’ll work this out with Thom and Tom.
Hi Trooper Mom, I had a thought you might like, and you can tell Jen. Even though the Bills aren't going to the Super Bowl, maybe she can do a tribute (clothing) piece. She said she love the team's progress this season. That can bring smiles to everyone.
He should have never left. It was all downhill for Win Ben Stein's Money after this.
This is almost as good is Moon Zappa on jeopardy
celebrity promo like snl
John was simply outplayed by Kate and the producers that would have known she was a better player with IQ testing etc. Hats of to John for having the balls to risk it all though
Lovely Sarah Purcell...VERY DEEP SIGH ❤️❤️❤️
Memories of this and a stack of Oreos and milk!
CC is such a big personality
I loved this show!
I enjoyed this show when it aired and remember thinking Jimmy had a future in comedy. But I hate what a vile delusional lunatic Stein is with his twisted allegiance to religious cults. For such an otherwise highly educated man to actually think intelligent design is more real than evolution and that somehow he can be a Jew while in bed with the insane fools of Liberty University is pathologically stupid and makes him pathetic and a disgrace. Sad that he clings to his irrational ancient superstitions despite his alleged intelligence.
was hoping to see Jimmy Kimmel here.
This show was so crazy and all three of these rocks roll starts are so cool and Ben Stein is nuts and so crazy 🤪 😜
CC sounds exactly like Andrew Dice Clay when he mocks a weak person 😅

What a terrible game show.
I love how rambunctious and savage this show is. The “unprofessional” (albeit chaotically funny) atmosphere is awesome. Love the sophisticated decor. And the pun categories are just icing on the cake.
now that i've heard weird al compliment that drummer, my life is complete.
Ben Stein is more animated than i expected
Back then you would prep for and go on to a 30 minute game show with a celebrity for $900. Today, your contractor takes that out of you in 15 minutes
BROOOOO! I totally forgot about this show!!
So Patrick Mahomes was on Hollywood Squares? interesting
This was Trebek's show before Jeopardy.
Shame Tom Bergeron didn’t get to actually play while Whoopi was hosting.
Moral of this episode: don't do drugs.
That was the best Simpsons episode ever…Baby On Board…ah, it’s been done before. 😂
Weird al still looks the same today
Don't let the good lord hit ya where the door split ya! xD

That first contestant was rather a disgusting and annoying person. She would have been a perfect choice to be on the front of a pancake box.
Always loved this show
Great thing about this show? it also has an ingredient to moisturize...wow.
Someone's heartbeat is getting picked up by their mic in the 2nd round Haha
