Do you hate it when food particles get stuck in your store-bought nylon scrubbie? Try making your own using this crochet tutorial and you can unroll it and clean it after you wash your dishes. Roll it up back again when you want to use it, easy peasy!
You can make these dish scrubbers with cotton yarn to use them like a dishcloth or use scrubby yarns available in the market to give your scrubby more teeth. Red Heart, Hobby Lobby, Lily Sugar ‘n Cream all have yarn made specifically for kitchen scrubbers.
This is a quick and easy project which is great for gifting and selling at craft fairs. It takes very little yarn and very little time. And guess what? The rolling and unrolling were so much fun that my husband and daughter couldn’t keep their hands off it.

Wow thats what I look for. This is the first selfmade scrub, that I find hygienic. Thank you 😍
I am really glad you like it. I was inspired by the plastic scrubbers available in stores. Mine always used to unravel after a while.

This! I love the fact we can unroll it to clean it thoroughly and allow it to air dry completely! I made one of these tonight and it was super fast. Your instructions were very easy to understand & the video quality made it clear to see exactly what to do. Excellent video tutorial :D I'm not new to crochet but have never made a scrubby like this before. This really doesn't use a lot of yarn either so I will be making a few more of these. Simple enough a beginner could make this, no problem but useful enough for anyone to make! Thank you so much ^_^
I love this pattern too because I had never seen anything like this in crochet before.
Thank you, this is so much better, easier than the one I was doing. Ripping that one out and making this one. Love the ease of cleasing it.
That is the sweetest scrubby I have ever seen..... Thank you !
I am so glad you think so, thank you!
I absolutely love how this comes out. I used a variegated cotton yarn and I am very pleased. Thank you for your easy to follow tutorial.

You are so welcome!
The 24/7 yarn is so much easier but for the life of me, I can’t find my 4.25mm so I had to use 4.5. Oh well. I will still try again with the scrubby yarn as I like that it has teeth. Thank you for this pattern, I like that I can unroll to wash and dry to keep it sanitary.
Thank you!
I think it's a UK Hook
I made this for a kitchen set for a wedding gift. I bought scrubby yarn and have some to make up for myself. Thank you for posting it.

These are cute and neat! Thanks for sharing!

Just did this one and made a few mistakes since I used 1 cotton and 1 scrubby strand, but easy to correct and get back on track - loved this tutorial! Thank you so much!
I am so glad, thank you!
This was simple to make. This design is just what I was looking for! Mine turned out a little big with yarn-bee scrubology thistle, so I will make my next one smaller.
This pattern and technique is absolute genius! It will make great gift sets as ve well. Thanks a lot. Blessings to you! Alicia

Wonderful tutorial! Thank you for a scrubbing video that will work and easy to make 👍
Thank you for your kind words 🙏.
Nice
Thanks
I enjoyed this video so easy to follow thanks was just wondering if you could put both the cotton and scrubby yarn together
I think that would work. I know of people who have done that but have never tried it myself.
This was so easy to make! I am definitely a novice crocheter. My question is how well do they hold up (when rolled up) or do they fall apart?
They hold up pretty well.
When using the scrubby yarn, do you use 1 strand of scrubby and 1 with regular cotton or just 1 strand of scrubby?
I use just the scrubby yarn.
Can I clean non stick pots and pans with this. Thanks
If you use the plastic scrubby yarn, I am assuming yes!
Can we use the stitch soak scrub for the pattern?
No idea what that is, sorry!
been having a play with an idea like this for quite some time.... always hated how gross scrubbers can be. I prefer making it longer, feels a little denser
Nice idea! Does anyone know of a more sustainable but harsh yarn than cotton to make a pot scrubber? (Unfortunately red heart scrubby is polyester so will produce as many micro plastics as a shop bought one 🙁)
I founs this cotton yarn (affiliate link): amzn.to/3LmQB35
@@crochetdreamz ooh that’s good that they have brought out a natural alternative. Thanks

Is it just me or is the scrubby yarn hard to see?
It sure is hard to see.
