The amount I learn from this channel makes my day, reminds me how a father figure could have impacted my life for the better
It’s been a hot minute since I’ve watched one of your videos but I have to say you never fail to make me appreciate the little things in life, thank you
As a Hispanic man, I can attest to such claims about painting around hardware. 😂😂😂
¿Por que?
As a hispanic, its a dumb sterotype in the construction world that is not true if anything iv seen asian landlords paint over absolutely everything.
Everyone is probably guilty. Just don’t get caught doing it yourself!
@@leandrosinco not if you take pride in your work
The most Mexican thing is to not paint at all and ask mom ( or the neighbor ) for a marker
11:31 - I like how you have stenciled every can a different way around, keeps em guessing!
ProHo, there is definitely an element of The Fizz in that label-maker and the stencil and that whole process.
I can see how the original design for the box came to be. The top of the box is rounded very nicely, like a desk drawer. Exactly like, in fact. My father's old wooden desk drawers look exactly the same as that box.
It looks like someone took the drawer from an old desk and simply added another 1/16" board over the top.
Or perhaps they simply repurposed the front of an old desk drawer.
Either way is clever and classy.
Keep Calm & Fizz On.
Your outdoor workbench is turning that beautiful gray. Nice!
Wrangler flexing his equipment. You deserve it. Cheers brother.
I love those boxes! I usually add a little DOT flammable or combustible label just to be fully compliant. Another tip is to add one of those pig oil absorbent mats at the bottom. Provides a bit of cushion and soaks up spills better then a rag. 👍
the definitive answer to how long to shake is to shake until the paint is mixed up, so the real question is how does one know when that happens? Your rattle can is fully mixed when the marble will circulate/spin around the bottom of the can. The "heavies" in the paint will "stick" to the marble and prevent it from rolling around the bottom "groove" of the can until it is appropriately mixed.
That's my default.
Is this not obvious to everyone?
Got roasted so bad on the last video you went back to the basics I hear you bro!
We use them at the lumber mill to stencil the lumber before going into the kiln. I always found them satisfying to use👍🏼👍🏼
Oh darn…now I have another project! 🙂
Thanks, Cody!
Some people appreciate a fine wine or a well composed symphony. Me, I appreciate a fine looking box
This has been the most relaxing experience, thanks for the way you interact I feel like listening to an uncle advising his nephew with patience and understanding.
Wranglestar's videos are so relaxing and pleasant to watch, just perfect for the ending of a day with a nice cup of tea.
My father purchased one of those SnapOn screwdrivers in the early 90s, they are both still working.
Best work yet! In term of stenciling! Nice job.
That spill was honest work.
When shaking your rattle can roll the ball around the bottom of the can a bunch. They sit on the shelves and seperate.
May God Bless You To Sir And Your Family. Thanks for thr video.
Be careful with certain rustoleum aerosols. The back of the can will say to recoat within 30 minutes or after 48 hours. Adhere to that fine print. Ask me how i know.
Beautiful work. That right there has all the FIZZ!
10:09 Proho maybe should lift up the upper part of the syphon hose just a few a bit before the receiving container get full so you don't spill anything and you don't loose the the stuff left in the pipe by trying to put it back into the donating container (proho should make thing easier by thinking logically).
His wet noodle dont work as good as he pretends it does
That probably sounded funnier in your head. 🥱
To 😮a Proho next time centerline your words like a professional printer. But I enjoyed the video.!!!
Vintage Wranglerstar. Gotta love it.
When you start pouring without spilling, I'm going to call for your resignation because that would not be normal. 😂
Outstanding video. Informative for any PROhO.
Hey Wranglerstar, I’m a cadet at the California Maritime Academy, and while doing rounds on our training ship I found the exact same stencil machine in a tool room. Clearly an excellent and versatile machine.
Those are so cool! I don't need them but I feel the need to make them anyway!!
Always wanted one of them - NICE!!
thank you for the video
Those stencil makers used to be fairly common in industry, you can check the local second hand equipment outlets.
Great video! Thanks brother
There is another brush like that one, also from Marsh that has bristles. It's great for cleaning guns because the reservoir you can fill with like CLP.
Nice score! We need a transparent can and see when the paint mixes good.
Lol my pops always kept the marbles for mine and his slingshot lol. That and he would always buy some "extra" ball bearings if he needed a few. ❤ miss that man
I noticed at the 6 minute mark your cat equipment decals were gone and you stencilled them instead, something to do while the paint was drying :)
I just noticed that ProHo took off the Cat logos, and stenciled the digger and skidder.
My favorite prank is telling someone to shake the can until you can’t hear the marble anymore
Well done…maybe some food for thought, and that would be to making a recessed handle similar to a classic jerry can so the boxes are stackable
I once saw a homemade trailer painted that color.
Good job. You might want to install an inline shutoff valve into your siphoning rig.
My favorite screwdrivers!!! and ratchets
Good idea but it needs to be much bigger and bolder! After all, you "are" the WRANGLER STAR!
Used often 40 sec shake. Been sitting for a while 1min-2min.
Also depends on the paint.
Add a half way mark on the indexing so you can centralise the text. Love your work
Thanks for sharing. Not sure l will need to do this but you never know.
Quality tools make a huge difference. My father told me to spend my money once. I prefer American made tools. Flea marts and garage, estate sales are a great place to buy quality tools at very reasonable prices.
“West Coast man buying East Coast mans tools…..interesting “
@wranglestar what’s your thoughts and tips on long term storage of fuel, gas and diesel. I looked to see if you had a video on the subject but didn’t see anything, maybe I overlooked it.
I've been following you since 2017 or so and have always wondered. Why dose the forest service/you use wood to store things instead of metal? Im honestly curious. Thank you for sharing your knowledge Mr. Star!
He doesn’t actually know even though he says he worked for them. He never did.
Cody I have just accepted as have you that I will spill at least 3% of any petroleum product when I transfer it also.
you have a LOT of spare time on your hands.
Hey buddy, I just want nothing more than to apologize. When you first started I was mad about idaho being on the internet.....these days, I'll man the link with you
-lived here 30 years, before the world sucked
Day 12 of commenting on every video. Very cool video. I'm gonna look into getting one of these. I love these old tools.
There's different caps for different sizes and applications of spray you can get on art/graffiti supply stores websites, best all around is a NY fat cap
I've cut firewood for many years and used to sleep on the ground I never got a good night's sleep when I got a cot the first night I was incredible sleep the hole night and the amount of work I got done was amazing I will never sleep on the ground again
Shake the spray can until the marble moves freely without any resistance then shake 30 seconds more.
Wranglerstar can you please do a video on the Lantern Box.
I would recommend wearing a respirator even when doing that outside. 30 years of painting has made me a little brain-dead
Petroleum is always trying to get back into the ground😁
Give it up
"I do know funnel starts with an F"
I felt that
Cody,
Where do we contact to place an order for the stencil kit for both lanterns and fuel kits?
The fact that you reversed the logo on the side of the two boxes......sorry my ocd went to full alert with that one.
If you dont want to spill using the syphon. Just lower the can you are pulling from.
Or just break the syphon on the higher end (in the source can/bucket).
Any chance you have tips on waterproofing canvas work jackets?
There is no substitute for the Coleman 424-700G Two-burner Compact Dual-fuel Stove
You did a video on a chest rig not long ago. I can’t seem to find it. What was the name of the chest rig?
Better than a Dymo labeler!
Wait... those rags are clean and dry right? You don't put them back when you've used them?
What happened to the Bismarck? The old splitting maul
I’ll bet that trick paint can would work in outer space. 😂😂😂
Tidy work. Did you consider stackable / modular design?
4:26 I bet the sawhorses were too far apart and it fell 😢
The fizz has been had…
Make a video on the cheapest work boots/shoes!
Someone at the GOAA has been looking for that machine for a while now.
Did you end up painting the bottom blue too ?
I'm of the same mind when it comes to painting walls. Remove baseboards.
Maybe paint the actual can as well, then there is no chance of the wrong can ending up in the wrong box.
Cheers
Absolutely nothing better than snap on ratcheting screwdriver
You, sir, are a habitual organizer!😂 I don't mean that in a disparaging way, I am also.
Nice
I feel I want an updated video on your pets
What are the boxes for? The fuel already is in a container
Groundhog Day 😂
Why did you paint the inside of the lid and box like the red boxes
Thats a lot of space occupied by something you can do with a permanent marker but it is indeed very much giving one the fizz :)
I wonder why you use blue to identify kerosine and not yellow…
I was always told use red is for gasoline, use yellow for kerosine or another flammable liquids, use blue containers solely for clean potable water, grey for non-potable or unboiled/unfiltered water, and use black for your sewage water
Yellow is for diesel in the USA and that's a law all gasoline must be transported in a red container and diesel in a yellow
Snap on screwdriver was my go-to for years, but let me tell you, the new Linus Tech Tips screwdriver has put it to shame and has become my new first reach.
Fizz fully activated! HAHAHA
The stenciling is clean as, but man the side stencils not facing the same direction would bother me
Garret Wade has copper funnels. Not inexpensive but nice.
What kind of Screwdriver is that Cody?
Snap on
Hello all. I have no background in religion, no friends or family to ask, but I've been curious about practicing Christianity. My question is, where do I start? Should I just start reading a Bible or what?
Yes and prayer
What kind of shake siphon is that?
I am here for Skooma.
Later Fonzy
Oliver Anthony just posted a new song.
As a 90 year old once told me. 99% of painting is prep work.
