Sister Sparrow & The Dirty Birds are a seven-piece ensemble led by the powerful soul vocals of Arleigh Kincheloe. She’s a seasoned stage performer who swaggers as the band’s alluring frontwoman. By belting out massive choruses and swooning over sobering jazz breaks, Sister Sparrow herself is able to conduct the band’s constantly morphing instrumentation.

Not a blue's guy. But this could convert many. Rarely does a blues tune start subtle and build into a monster. Great players and this woman is a very talented vocalist and has a unique sexiness that pours from her when she performs.
...Arleigh Kincheloe is a vocal powerhouse. She has so much drip, Arleigh is living poetry. The band are all top-notch, serious musicians, and her brother plays harmonica like a wildcat. Stellar performance.
This is incredible! This...this right here is why I love Audiotree, because they introduce me to fantastic artists I never would have otherwise seen. Keep on keeping on, Sister Sparrow, you guys are amazing!
Arleigh Kincheloe is one of the best vocalists in the past 20 years. Amazing live performance. Just wish Sasha was still within them.

Along with Lake Street Dive and a few others, it is nice to see a new crop of female singers who don't feel they have to play dumb and downplay their voices by whispering beguilingly into the mic..ugh. In contrast, this is so refreshing. Hope this is the start of a new trend (sorry, don't know how long this band has been around, so excuse my ignorance if they're not new).
