I love his diet with the exception of so much protein. It's clearly working for him though. Is it a whey protein in his mrp?
The video stated that it is whey and casein.
Hi Steve, thanks for your comment. It is a lot of protein. The product that he is taking says that it is milk protein containing whey and casein. If the protein is not processed it should be 80/20 casein/whey.
It's not what you eat everyday, it's what you didn't eat.

Great useful real world information with plenty of things to consider. Perhaps Bryan Johnson should take a close look at what this guy is doing & make sure he's covering those basic things amongst his other pro-longevity interventions.
Hi thanks! His protocol certainly is a lot simpler than Bryan Johnson's and he does appear to be doing very well. I especially like the balance between the activities; working out, continuing to actively manage his gym, learning, writing books.
Its interesting the conclusion you came to that carbs are his main energy source when hes consuming 200+grams of protein daily.
But he's burning off those zero-nutritional value carbs. That's the point. The problems begin when carbs spike insulin & accumulate as visceral fat.
Hi Renee, thanks for the comment. I did think about that, could he be also burning protein as fuel given how much he is eating? It could be, because it is a lot of protein, though he also has reasonable amounts of carb which I am guessing would be used as fuel in preference.
He doesn’t eat vegetables???
Hi Julia, thanks for the comment. It seems not (at least outside of the grains and natto). In one of the write-ups he is reported as saying that the brown rice has sufficient nutrients so he does not need to eat other vegetables.
So i have to think he's on TRT at least. The diet info is interesting, but I want to know his special supplement regime in detail. He's clearly not gone overboard and if just TRT then is he taking amounts that are supra-normal or normal amounts for say a 30-40 yr old etc.
You have to think he's on TRT because you buy the lies fitness industry told you so they can sell products. Kanazawa's body is a product of a lifetime of dedication.
