I looked over your scarves and shawls on your web site and found that the colors are gorgeous. I particularly like the blue piece with underlying rainbow color background. I want to make one but I can't do any designs other than plaid on my single rigid heddle ashford harp. However, since I'm a beginner, only having made one scarf, I'd want to attempt a V-shawl for my 94-year mother, although I might be diving into the deep end of the pool.
My yarns come from all over. These shawls are a discontinued yarn that I picked up from a yarn store selling out. My shuttles are Leclerc, again picked up in various places. I do, however buy a lot of supplies from my local yarn/weaving shop, The Bobbin Tree. thebobbintree.square.site/
I actually have a unit with two bedrooms (one is the loom room and one is for drawing and sewing), living room (retail display and work area), kitchen (dye studio) and bathroom. It is attached to my house and the whole thing is my studio. Yes, I know I am fortunate and I am very thankful for the space.
I'd love a floor loom, but I don't have the space. I'll just have to keep living vicariously through your videos and content myself with rigid heddle looms. Lovely colours as usual.
Beautiful! Thank you for sharing your process!
Gorgeous!
Gorgeous! Your weaving is amazing. I am inspired to get going on a new project. Not sure yet what it will be.
