Welcome to my channel! I love to share what is happening in my studio and you are welcome to look over my shoulder as I work. My videos are not tutorials, just a glimpse into my processes as I design and create art. However, I am happy to answer any of your questions about the making of it all.
I am an artist, living and working in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, Canada. I have lived in many areas of Canada and my paintings include scenes from the arctic, the prairies, and more recently, the maritimes. I am also a weaver and enjoy dyeing and weaving yarn into colourful items for the home and to wear.

Dyeing Cotton for Tea Towels

This is my first time dyeing with fibre reactive dyes! Well, I think I must have done it in art college, but that is ancient history and I remember nothing of it. I tied a new warp of tea towels onto the previous one, using entirely different colours. I put a 15 yard warp of cottolin on my loom and then play with various weft yarns and treadlings. How many tea towels can I get?
