It happens all the time. Like I said, it's usually aftertreatment these days that give us the main issues. This unfortunate customer just had two bouts of really bad luck. We try to help as much as we can.

These engines will get literally a million miles with proper scheduled maintenance. You just have to do the right maintenance at the right time. For example with the current Cummins engines the main bearing seizes if you don't replace it before about 600K miles.
