Greg Anthony was good. Almost underrated. I would notice the tempo change when he came onto the court. The stats don't really tell the tale because he was second fiddle to Staudamire. He was a good defender. Excellent commentator as well.
I have to disagree.
All he did was get cooked, and then take his customary cheap shot. Tempo or not, the Knicks were always short a player when Anthony was out there.
And he was a complete dick.
Single games like this have more statements of greatness than lebrons whole career. How hard he worked, how hard they tried to intimidate him. The poise he maintained, the fire he exhibited. The beauty and the power of his game.
It's on that Anthony hit him with his shoulder on purpose and wasn't even going for the ball.

Sorry Magic beat him out, However, if Bird had not gotten injured more than likely he would have dominated that era, with 3 straight league MVP's Bird was The Man!!! Magic won the title in his Rookie season! Bird and Magic faced off 3 times in the Finals. Magic won 2 of those encounters!

Grew up in this era, and as much as my generation wants to claim “How physical it was, how much better it was” etc, wether it’s that era of “Street ball” or todays “Soft” style, BOTH are pathetic and no, one isn’t better than the other.

btw - this was a Knicks team that surprised everyone and took the Bulls to 7 games. Apparently, there's a narrative going around that Jordan "never played in a game 7" when he did vs. Cleveland, vs Detroit, vs the Knicks, and vs the Pacers.
