Colorado, Boulder was the “dome city” and home to pre war research (bio med gel was invented there), the Rocky Mountain arsenal, nuclear middle silos. Mountain towns like vail, aspen and crested butte could be great towns for main/side quests (like a cross between Skyrim and fallout), the mountains can have ridiculous wildlife mutants, eastern plains could have wild weather like tornadoes.
I like your handling of the Enclave. They have been mustache twirling morons in too many games. I would see their agents infiltrating and influencing various factions since they don't have numbers or the equipment at the start of the scenario. Possibly hint at limited support from an upstate vault or base under their control.

I think, with very high speech and a lot of work, there could be another ending. Wherein The Comintariat forces, the Enclave/Manhattan Republicans, the Marshals, and representatives from the Free Cities come together in the United Nations HQ and broker a treaty of unilateral confederation: A strong local autonomy and authority to get Free Cities’ support, high reputation with/being able to somehow convince the Marshals to integrate into the new armed forces of ‘New New York’, a socialist economy and one-party system to integrate the Comintariat, and linking it all up with assurances of loyalty to the preservation of the United States and its identity, under the Enclave. New New York would function as a home for all, with the final screen being an image of a reconstructed Lady Liberty, holding her torch and proclamation, that this city shall be that ‘Shining City upon a Hill’, a New Jerusalem; the site of a New America, a New New York! (New York by Frank Sinatra, the opening theme of the game; albeit made more impactful and, rather than being ominous, conveys the bright future of the ‘Big Apple’.

Fallout 4 was it's best yet, game play wise....new Vegas was A good story, and Fallout 3 was Mainly a maze of sewers or tunnels, and I honestly believe Chicago has way more possibilities!!!!!! Not to mention There were major ties, within fallout 4 that pull towards Chicago Illinois!!!!!!

Hello, I'm Actually working on A Fallout 5 concept that I plan to finish up sometime late 2021, and present To Bethesda, if anyone is really intrested in this idea, feel free I have alot still to put together for this..and so far it's just me and my ideas I'm coming up with names for all main important characters and followers, We've had The Lone Wanderer, and The Soul Survivor, in this one, You are The Peacemaker!!!!! And This fallout will have to map locations, with more then one way to travel to n from... The Great Midwest, I'm sure is gonna look fine, The Enclave have returned, and Certain Citizens have taken A liking to the new Paper cash, and being able to use bottle caps aswell, with two forms of money, The Midwest is rebuilding, at the far Eastern edge, Some vehicles are being manufactured The Michigan Militia are finding new ways to take care of the outbreak, Dang Zombie minis to many Ghouls to count...that's just A small bit, The main story starts, in Vault 82, in the year 2292, You, your parents and sister and younger little brother, heck even you Grand Parents live in the same vault!!!!! Imagine that, well There will be reason, for you to leave the Vault, but you, and 4 others will come with you, and believe it or not, it wont be any of your family members!!!!! Make sure you get with the right team !!!!!! I think this'll be a banger addition to the series once the problem with running the entirety of the Imperial Wasteland has been solved. What i'd add to this would be a hard charisma check alongside speech checks for major diplomatic decisions.
I think a good intro would be seeing the gaurds dead body, and since they love putting music from the ink spots or other creators, a pip-boy would static then resume playing the music. The camera would move through, viewing the bodies of the guards then zooming out to reveal a shattered New York City. Then the sing the pip boy was playing, I’ll never smile (not ink spots) will then fade away. Just an idea
I like the story but it’s too linear. What I love about all the fallout games with the exception of 4 is how even tho the developers want you to follow a certain quest line you can bypass all of that if you’ve already played it before. In the original fallout I accidentally ran into mariposa military base wayyy to early and realized this was a end game location. Stuff like that. With this story I feel like it’s very linear and you can’t skip parts on accident.
Why does everyone forget that in the Fallout time-line we Anexed Canada and that it's now part of The United Commonwealths? I would LOVE to see a game set in Canada. New environment, nes creatures, new factions that AREN'T The Brotherhood Of Steel and no Super Mutants.

Chicago has The Best feel vibe, one because it has The Mobster type city, and has ties back to Boston, even with Valentines back story, before his memories where put into Synth Nick Valentine!!!! and also has The some what feel to A New Vegas like Area, within The City of Chicago Illinois!!!!! I mean Al Capone was one of The U.S. crime boss lore, this would definitely make ties back to Skinny Malone, The Man we all Know As Vic, that ended up in Boston running GoodNeighbor, before Hancock hung him, some of the NPC’s or former Followers would possibly show up, in this story to show what they did after Fallout 4’s timeline, I’m actually putting My own version of Fallout 5 together and will be submitting all of my Story to Bethesda Game Studios & Bethesda.net in 2021 sometime, I have about 45% of this story already put together!!!!! so I will be putting Myself A New UA-cam Channel up, just for this Project!!!! very soon !!!! hope to see you all There !!!!!!

I know this video is a few years old but I like the idea. Now that they have a TV show out, I’m sure the gaming company is going to receive some sort of royalties that would be a substantial amount of money to invest in creating more fallout games. Perhaps one for each state it would be expensive, but with the popularity of the TV show putting more people back on the consul to play While waiting for another season, I’m sure they can afford to make games that reflect popular areas in each of the 50 states It would be neat to have a fallout Yellowstone Highly radioactive Yellowstone sitting on top of the active volcano🤷🏻♂️.

This video is perfection except for one small thing in my opinion. I feel like a different kind of virus instead of FEV could have served a more interesting force story wise. Maybe some sort of intelligent, sentient, and hive mind like organism that is made of trillions of cells that can rapidly multiply and travel through water. This antagonist would have been a pre war American Bio Weapon that was made to be deployed on the night of october 23 2077 onto the Chinese mainland in order to kill and dismantle the Chinese government. (this works because the virus would be intelligent to comprehend commands) Obviously the virus never got deployed because the bombs fell first. The reason why the virus was "awoken" from the ship is because the commentariat had sent out a squad for recon as part of an operation to gain a foothold in the region in the future. Things don't go according to plan and the squad is killed by the virus after they release it from it's submerged container by mistake and are defenseless as the virus (without orders) is set to defend itself from all threats no matter who they are. This makes sense because it was meant to be released and given orders to, but with no orders for so long it has developed a survival instinct that scientists couldn't have accounted for as it wasn't even meant to exist for this long. But because of it's prolonged existence it has grown human level intelligence and strives for survival. The virus is released through water, but is weak after laying dormant without sustenance, going into essentially a hibernative state where it could still think but didn't act unless it was freed. So it decides to wait weeks for it to rain again and puts itself into the water vapor. It lands on two guards that were out patrolling outside vault 100 and kills both of them right before they get home. This allows that virus to repeat this cycle of gaining strength in small fatalities until it has the strength to move rapidly for long distances for longer periods of time. The virus would be growing stronger as the playthrough progresses and would eventually result in two conflicts. The conflicts that are mentioned in the video, and a plot where the virus is growing stronger and stronger and lays waste to smaller villages and settlements if the player doesn't help them when the townsfolk notice that a disease of some sort has been seemingly "travelling" between settlements when it rains. This could lead to epidemics in certain regions where it rains and you could have certain wasteland creatures be affected with the virus that could kill you quickly if they bite, spit, bleed on you, etc. I feel like the brotherhood, enclave, and commentariat trying to domesticate the virus in some sort of way by fighting over control of a secret government facility that the brotherhood has control of. No matter who you side with you would be in a three way battle with the other factions. Enclave and commentariat are fighting the brotherhood and each other for control of the outpost and the brotherhood fighting both the enclave and the commentariat to maintain control, but they have a chance because they are in a defensive position and the enclave and commentariat are fighting each other to try and get in. Eventually the side the player sides with will win and you will grant your faction the ability to control the virus with a sort of biological link with a host and the virus. The virus originally was meant to be controlled by the president of the united states with this link. But the player character is told to enter the machine when they are ready and they assume control over the virus in a power tip sort of section. In this section they would infiltrate both of the major opposing factions bases and either covertly or directly kill the leaders of the factions with some variations. Sense the virus was meant as to be a intelligent biological weapon, it can kill in different ways offering the player more variation in how they kill and where they kill. Killing a leader when they are having a cup of water, or making them vomit blood in their sleep for example. This section would obviously be the ending of the story after you assume control of greasetown because this would virtually assume control over the entire empire wasteland as the virus could kill any opponent that comes into contact with a fluid at the press of a button. (essentially) I also feel like giving the player the option to go back and try and assume control over vault 100 would be interesting as a choice with this technology as you could make vault 100 submit to your rule as you control the virus. Other means of controlling vault 100 would be interesting without the virus as well. Maybe political discourse or leading a raid with your faction after the main conflict or after you reach a certain rank within that major faction. I dunno why i yapped for this long tho and thank you for reading if you did.

the end is the most out of character this series could be. the enclave not doing the FEV, but instead communists, who earlier only gotten into a war due to resource scarcity after overconsumption (see FO4 intro), a typical capitalist problem ariding from the constant need of growth. I also don’t know whether you wanted to create a parallel to Covid, but I‘m not aware of communist bio tests comparable to MK Ultra, so killing US citizens is more in character for the US government. I mean you could criticize mismanagement, which would fall short due to better technology, but semi-realistic due to lack of communication infrastructure and scarcity of technology after. losing all allies due to misunderstanding of communism would be an interesting plot, yet a big coorporation like bethesda doing capitalist things like unfinished products, unfinished games, in app purchases and treatibg their workers bad (crunching) wouldn’t even suggest that a system deleting coorporate profits had any merit ever it’s also interesting how people cry about Mao, despite ignoring previous hardships (and annual famines, though smaller in scale) of the previous china they had no problem being feudalist (with most people sleeping beside livestock on straw as peasants, even in mountainous regions, for example, similar living conditions were also experienced in Tibet before it’s liberation celebrated by most, but obviously villified by those losing their privilege of living in temples maintained by slaves, like the dalei lama who had 1600 personal servants)
Great factions besides the comintariat and the ending. I don't feel like in the fallout timeline there would be any communist sympanthisizers due to how extreme the red scare would be in there universe. Also there plot just copies red alert, the fact that they have gulags/you can just recreate cherenobyl just seems like a cop out. Otherwise every other faction tho feels spot on and thought about the locations are amazing and it's overall a great concept. Maybe just a different major faction because the cominterait just feels like stereotypical communist junk in video games, maybe turn them into something similar like a major socialist state that followed Ruthenberg cpsa policies but I doubt they would just mimic soviet and maoist policies in the timeline and let that affect the remainder of the story.
New York would take way too much to run a game on that complexity. That's where New Orleans would be perfect. Not too big, but not too small. New York would burn the fan out of most consoles. Probably start the console on fire.
Old video but i really want a 1/2/NV type of game again. I don't want a shooter with the BoS, Deathclaws, VaultBoy, and Supermutants. I want worldbuilding, the unique stories that could only happen in Fallout, and NEW creatures & factions. The Bethesda games have purposefully avoided the west coast, they don't want to touch the old canon. But why not just have the Bethesda games be an Alternate Universe/reboot? They already are in every way. Then they can have free reign while the OG universe is unaffected. Fans wouldn't be so mad & could enjoy the new games easier.

Well, it's kinda how the Enclave was in both Fallout 2 and 3. The faction that randomly appears out of nowhere and suddenly dominates the wastes and is comically a cartoon villain that can't win regardless of how hard they try. A Communist faction is sorta an interesting twist on that mustache twirling villain. Though it's repetitive.

Fallout 3 just ripped off Fallout 1. I mean getting water for everyone as the main storyline. Fallout 4 was just 3 reverse in that the parent was looking for the child and now 76. Just give it to Obsidian and let them make a Fallout game in a proper amount of time. Bethesda is just Power Armor, Super Mutants and Brotherhood Of Steel and knows nothing about how a Fallout game works.

I think a Toronto based fallout game would be sweet. They reference “Ronto” in Fallout 3 and haven’t touched it since. Could be a cool idea though

I’m from Chicago and it has so much culture and unique locations. It’s also got a lot of subsections with cultures of their own that would make for good factions
I know this video is a few years old but I like the idea. Now that they have a TV show out, I’m sure the gaming company is going to receive some sort of royalties that would be a substantial amount of money to invest in creating more fallout games. Perhaps one for each state it would be expensive, but with the popularity of the TV show putting more people back on the consul to play While waiting for another season, I’m sure they can afford to make games that reflect popular areas in each of the 50 states It would be neat to have a fallout Yellowstone Highly radioactive Yellowstone sitting on top of the active volcano🤷🏻♂️.

This video is perfection except for one small thing in my opinion. I feel like a different kind of virus instead of FEV could have served a more interesting force story wise. Maybe some sort of intelligent, sentient, and hive mind like organism that is made of trillions of cells that can rapidly multiply and travel through water. This antagonist would have been a pre war American Bio Weapon that was made to be deployed on the night of october 23 2077 onto the Chinese mainland in order to kill and dismantle the Chinese government. (this works because the virus would be intelligent to comprehend commands) Obviously the virus never got deployed because the bombs fell first. The reason why the virus was "awoken" from the ship is because the commentariat had sent out a squad for recon as part of an operation to gain a foothold in the region in the future. Things don't go according to plan and the squad is killed by the virus after they release it from it's submerged container by mistake and are defenseless as the virus (without orders) is set to defend itself from all threats no matter who they are. This makes sense because it was meant to be released and given orders to, but with no orders for so long it has developed a survival instinct that scientists couldn't have accounted for as it wasn't even meant to exist for this long. But because of it's prolonged existence it has grown human level intelligence and strives for survival. The virus is released through water, but is weak after laying dormant without sustenance, going into essentially a hibernative state where it could still think but didn't act unless it was freed. So it decides to wait weeks for it to rain again and puts itself into the water vapor. It lands on two guards that were out patrolling outside vault 100 and kills both of them right before they get home. This allows that virus to repeat this cycle of gaining strength in small fatalities until it has the strength to move rapidly for long distances for longer periods of time. The virus would be growing stronger as the playthrough progresses and would eventually result in two conflicts. The conflicts that are mentioned in the video, and a plot where the virus is growing stronger and stronger and lays waste to smaller villages and settlements if the player doesn't help them when the townsfolk notice that a disease of some sort has been seemingly "travelling" between settlements when it rains. This could lead to epidemics in certain regions where it rains and you could have certain wasteland creatures be affected with the virus that could kill you quickly if they bite, spit, bleed on you, etc. I feel like the brotherhood, enclave, and commentariat trying to domesticate the virus in some sort of way by fighting over control of a secret government facility that the brotherhood has control of. No matter who you side with you would be in a three way battle with the other factions. Enclave and commentariat are fighting the brotherhood and each other for control of the outpost and the brotherhood fighting both the enclave and the commentariat to maintain control, but they have a chance because they are in a defensive position and the enclave and commentariat are fighting each other to try and get in. Eventually the side the player sides with will win and you will grant your faction the ability to control the virus with a sort of biological link with a host and the virus. The virus originally was meant to be controlled by the president of the united states with this link. But the player character is told to enter the machine when they are ready and they assume control over the virus in a power tip sort of section. In this section they would infiltrate both of the major opposing factions bases and either covertly or directly kill the leaders of the factions with some variations. Sense the virus was meant as to be a intelligent biological weapon, it can kill in different ways offering the player more variation in how they kill and where they kill. Killing a leader when they are having a cup of water, or making them vomit blood in their sleep for example. This section would obviously be the ending of the story after you assume control of greasetown because this would virtually assume control over the entire empire wasteland as the virus could kill any opponent that comes into contact with a fluid at the press of a button. (essentially) I also feel like giving the player the option to go back and try and assume control over vault 100 would be interesting as a choice with this technology as you could make vault 100 submit to your rule as you control the virus. Other means of controlling vault 100 would be interesting without the virus as well. Maybe political discourse or leading a raid with your faction after the main conflict or after you reach a certain rank within that major faction. I dunno why i yapped for this long tho and thank you for reading if you did.

the end is the most out of character this series could be. the enclave not doing the FEV, but instead communists, who earlier only gotten into a war due to resource scarcity after overconsumption (see FO4 intro), a typical capitalist problem ariding from the constant need of growth. I also don’t know whether you wanted to create a parallel to Covid, but I‘m not aware of communist bio tests comparable to MK Ultra, so killing US citizens is more in character for the US government. I mean you could criticize mismanagement, which would fall short due to better technology, but semi-realistic due to lack of communication infrastructure and scarcity of technology after. losing all allies due to misunderstanding of communism would be an interesting plot, yet a big coorporation like bethesda doing capitalist things like unfinished products, unfinished games, in app purchases and treatibg their workers bad (crunching) wouldn’t even suggest that a system deleting coorporate profits had any merit ever
it’s also interesting how people cry about Mao, despite ignoring previous hardships (and annual famines, though smaller in scale) of the previous china they had no problem being feudalist (with most people sleeping beside livestock on straw as peasants, even in mountainous regions, for example, similar living conditions were also experienced in Tibet before it’s liberation celebrated by most, but obviously villified by those losing their privilege of living in temples maintained by slaves, like the dalei lama who had 1600 personal servants)
Bethesda at this point should hire fans to make fallout as fans have had better ideas for a fallout game than the developers
Great factions besides the comintariat and the ending. I don't feel like in the fallout timeline there would be any communist sympanthisizers due to how extreme the red scare would be in there universe. Also there plot just copies red alert, the fact that they have gulags/you can just recreate cherenobyl just seems like a cop out. Otherwise every other faction tho feels spot on and thought about the locations are amazing and it's overall a great concept. Maybe just a different major faction because the cominterait just feels like stereotypical communist junk in video games, maybe turn them into something similar like a major socialist state that followed Ruthenberg cpsa policies but I doubt they would just mimic soviet and maoist policies in the timeline and let that affect the remainder of the story.
New York would take way too much to run a game on that complexity.

The Bethesda games have purposefully avoided the west coast, they don't want to touch the old canon. But why not just have the Bethesda games be an Alternate Universe/reboot? They already are in every way.
Then they can have free reign while the OG universe is unaffected. Fans wouldn't be so mad & could enjoy the new games easier.
always thought fallout 3 vanburen should have been in new vegas engine or maybe a new engine make it ALL of the united states and add more states as updates, makie it like runescape mmo but more in the style of 2b2t and allow players to just kill eachother, perma death with story like the dust mod or just have cool secret areas like mountain rushmore and huge dense destroyed cities, I always wanted to see a 3D version of the glow or the hub or even boneyard, would have been great...
The bad guys being communists is stupid and a terrible idea and has no place in Fallout. What made Fallout 1 and 2 great was that the main villain was Americanism.

I like some of the ideas but it feels really Bethesda to me. Why are there super mutants in New York? Or the Brotherhood and the Enclave. It seems like you fell in the Bethesda trap that it’s only fallout if it has power armor and super mutants. It seems like Fallout 3 set in New York.
Hopefully the factions in Fallout 5 will be better than Fallout 4.

Well, it's kinda how the Enclave was in both Fallout 2 and 3. The faction that randomly appears out of nowhere and suddenly dominates the wastes and is comically a cartoon villain that can't win regardless of how hard they try.
A Communist faction is sorta an interesting twist on that mustache twirling villain. Though it's repetitive.

Fallout Tactics wasn't really that bad come on
Fallout 3 just ripped off Fallout 1. I mean getting water for everyone as the main storyline. Fallout 4 was just 3 reverse in that the parent was looking for the child and now 76. Just give it to Obsidian and let them make a Fallout game in a proper amount of time. Bethesda is just Power Armor, Super Mutants and Brotherhood Of Steel and knows nothing about how a Fallout game works.
