The thing about Elio is that I don't think everything is set in stone, Elio just picks a possibility that favors them and have the Stellaron Hunters make sure everything goes towards that possibility, basically manipulating everything and everyone to have his desired outcome

It’s interesting watching Rednas’ playthrough cause it makes you realise how integral some companion quests are to the xianzhou main story line like how this was the first time he saw the ice character.
(staying vague) Yeah imo that particular companion quest should have been mandatory to go on with the main plot, to explain why the character was where they were and who the ice character is.

REDNAS please don’t be put off by Fu Xuan being a Preservation unit!! she’s essentially what Dehya should’ve been in Genshin you’ll love her i promise 😭😭💖
EDIT: also you don’t ever have to worry about accidentally triggering companion missions in HSR! it’s not like genshin where you can stumble into a mission unintentionally - you usually have to talk to an NPC or interact with a specific item in order to start the mission 👍✨

Companion missions are actually larger than main story missions, and have major effects in game. And remember to interact with the 'texts'. If version ends before that, you may be losing 400-600 jades.

fun fact the Bow’s description (one of Tingyun’s presents) jokes about it not being able to do Counter Attacks (a knod to march’s unique attribute of using counter attacks)

March 7th quest available starting today.
And if you want to do the Companion Quest, I recommend both March 7th and Kafka first because at least (as I recall) they both have a big "Lore" rather than just a "Story".
Fun fact: (since you kept mentioning their heights) the tallest male model (blade, Jing yuan, etc) comes out to about 7’1, and the medium male models (Dan Heng) is about 6’8. They are all so much taller than the genshin models, witch makes for more hieght differences, three models for each adult/teen sized characters compared to genshins two (plus the child model in both games)
honestly love the model variations here! iirc Stelle (fem!tb) is taller than the tallest female model (himeko, kafka etc.) too 😭 Stellaron do be changing everything
This isn't over yet, because at the end of story 1.3 Jingliu appears and comes face to face with Jing Yuan, his own student. Additionally, Drip Marketing Jingliu also appeared in Patch 1.4
1:08:39 I actually missed this kid while searching everyone and I'm glad you just told her. That kid allegedly doesn't have anyone to tell her that Dan Shu will never come back. She will wait for her endlessly only to feel bad that she never came back. It's actually the best to tell her the truth than her finding out later and feeling guilty if she ever hated her for not coming back.

40:45 if you do the Yukong companion quest you would understand this better. Besides all the companion quests are so good that yo are gonna love playing through and make content out of it
1:19:20 If you do Yanqing's story quest you will meet Her, Jingliu. I won't spoil but his story quest will give a bit on her story
