About fate: It's some less obvious lore, but fate in Genshin is basically the future that Celestia wants for you. It is displayed in the fake sky, and vision wielders have constellations because are being managed even more closely. This is why mona can predict the future using the stars. This is also why Neuvilette doesn't have a constellation (his one he made himself so he could have a horoscope lol). When all the gods and such are trying to "free themself from fate" what they mean is to free themselves from the rule of Celestia. You have seen an example of this in Scara's archon interlude when he tried to change the past, but all the events still ended up the same, aka he couldn't change their "fate". I know it would sound silly if someone was talking about fate irl, but in Genshin it does have meaning.

@@RednasYojust to add on i think another good example was the fontaine prophecy since it was ‘fated’ they would all drown one day (as the former archon went against celestia to make their original sin) but focalors destroyed that by ruining celestia’s rule (removing herself as the archon which is a position handed to u by celestia and bringing back the hydro dragon’s power) to ensure that EVEN when what was fated DID pass, fontanians didn’t dissolve cuz they were already cleared of their sins by neuv…but yeah like op said fate in genshin is wtv celestia has in store for u cuz they’re the highest authority now
I wanna add that Scara not being able to change fate is technically because that’s not what changing Irminsul does. It’s a record of history, not what defines the actual events of the past. Changing it only changes the world’s understanding of the past.

After reading Remuria lore and hearing bits an pieces from Wriothesley in the archon Quest about it is nice to finally explore it and learn about the real history. I think it is my favorite world quest. It was beautiful, i like the whole music theme and it was well paced. It was really nice to learn more about Remus, Scylla and Cassiodor. But still a shame that we don't get to see many past gods but maybe hoyoverse don't want to waste resources on it and people will be mad if they had cool designs and will never be playable.
I mean… I understand bc I’m still mourning over MountainShaper and MoonCarver being modified NPCs instead of getting more drip. 🥲 BUT would still prefer getting to see a unique model every so often to fit the story even if it turns out that they might not be playable later on. Even just more unique modifications sometimes helps! Thankfully they’ve been doing the latter with some of the more recent quests: Fujin, Clervie, and Caribert being good examples.

Fontaine itself has art deco inspirations, which I suspect are a remnant of Remuria's architectural style influencing its modern style. Still, the fact that Penacony also utilized a similar artistic palette is likely coincidence more than anything, given that these cities share very little in common. Also, Genshin has always been about the struggle against Fate in Teyvat. HoYo really likes to revisit that theme, along with dreams, memories, and wishes. Star Rail's approach is different in a key way, however, in which the MC is aware of their supposed Fate, whereas the Traveler is theoretically free of its control. The key about Teyvat's concept of Fate is the possibility that Fate is being dictated by the Gods and enforced via the rules of the world, but if someone not under its control came along, they might be able to alter that Fate. This is why so many civilizations in Teyvat's history constantly try to ascend to something akin to godhood. Rene's notes mentioned that the Gods have the closest thing to True Will of all Teyvat's inhabitants, which is free will divorced from the Fate dictated by the world.
This quest was so nice, i enjoyed it a lot!! I also love how the town looks after finishing it. Theres a lot of people and it really makes it feel more comfy (for me) NOT THE "ta is ta" 2:45:58 😭

I already did the quest and have my exploration on 100% (honestly it was a really chill and beuatiful world) and while doing the quest I thought: Rednas will have so much fun with it😂 plus i also watch the video because I partially skipped lines while doing the quest😂
the music in this world quest was so good! ziyu che is the composer and vocalist for them iirc? she also did a lot of the underwater themes for the rest of fontaine
Loved this quest so much from the music and the pretty water areas. I already read the remuria books we’ve had in game for a while so it was satisfying to find out what exactly was going on in remus’ head as his plans came crashing down lol. Much love for our cat friend too The whole town being forced into role play was so freaking funny but the thing that surprised me most was the new crumbs we learned about egeria and the lochknights. I feel like every patch of Fontaine we somehow get a LESS clear picture of who Erinnyes was- why is she so mysterious?? Like maybe we’ll get more info if we get other Fontaine expansions (like chenyu) later down the road but dang 😂
I wish I could go back in time to experience this quest for the first time again. This is easily one of my favorite Fontaine world quests, and honestly in my top 3 WQs in general
They talk about fate like it's a living being naming it also "Fortuna", I feel like there's a god or a higher being in Celestia responsible of fate of Teyvat. I feel like there were lots of lore drops in this world quest, really enjoyed it. Also, my theory is all of Teyvat, also with archons will fight against Celestia to overcome Heavenly Principals, remind you that we're probably in a samsara loop, actually the 4th time of that. A lot of quests say before you achieve something you have to do it 3 times before, so yeah I think we're going to win this time. I'm not sure about it but I think there's a God of Time in Celestia making us stuck in the loops to avoid Celestia being overthrown. I've been researching genshin lore for a while and this is what I gathered from it😅

The way you enjoy these quests and the little jokes you make while reading through the dialogue is so entertaining 😂😂 I find it difficult to go through these quests myself because I find it hard to focus enough to go through a thousand lines of unvoiced dialogue alone. Watching you go through the quest, seeing you enjoy yourself and understand certain things along with me (whether before or after or at the same time) is much more enjoyable. The nicknames you give the characters are also very fun 😂😂 Thanks for uploading them!

Im the exact opposite. I for example reall didnt like Skirk at all. I was kinda disappointed 😂 Childe was like "oh yeah this super cool badass lady that taught me to fight shes a hardass" And then its like another half naked anime girl😔 like I WISH she was a buff old lady or something 😂 But in general Im not really into Honkai bc I prefer fantasy to sci fi, but idk. I mean I wont be like mad about it, but I do hope they dont go further than a bit of a crossover.

57:13 i’m sure you’re already working on your Arlecchino build by the time this is uploaded but 4pc crimson is not great on her at all! she can’t use half of the passive so it’s better to go 4pc gladiator (cause most her DMG comes from her NAs) until you farm a good 4pc of the new set or a combination 2pc-2pc of any ATK% sets, 2pc crimson, or 2pc marechaussee - you could also go 4pc gilded for vape teams but the 4pc gladiator is still her best general use set until you farm a 4pc of the new set

You get some talent material I think lol & similar thing with doing the stone challenge with the guy near the statue. I talked to every npc in town and got all the dialogue options cuz I figured they’d go back to normal after the quest 😂
So the great thunderbird which was killed by Raiden was supposed to be evolved into a electro dragon. That is now proved by the theory of Scylla not being able to evolve into a complete elemental dragon proves it. And then even the travelled killed the newborn😂😅
