To anyone who would: please pray for me. I'm from a christian home. Thanks to my parents. I grew up with a great knowledge of the bible. We moved all over the world and I was exposed to and taught about a great many of denominations and doctrines. I always examined everything so critically and had a great pride in my knowledge of the bible and my critical thinking. I found church to be less a place of worship and teaching and more a place of hypocrisy, greed, and outright lies in some cases. I departed from my parents, church and christ as a teen. I was well on a path of self destruction. Drugs, lies, sex, alcohol and other things that I wouldn't even utter for many reasons. I started to see my life was bad in my early to mid 20s but that didn't really deter me from making my own path. I'm 35 now. For the last several years of my life I have been begging god everyday for salvation. People would often advise me to click my heels together, say the magic words and I'm saved. Having said the words a thousand times, having been baptized more times than I can count, I find that one size fits all method to be lacking. There is a change in my heart I have not had. I produce no fruit, I have never felt any conviction from the holy spirit or the baptism thereof. Everytime I think of my sin, my attitude, the times I turned my back on God or spat in his face, I feel dead. I feel I have done too much. Hardened my own heart too much, maybe God hardened it, maybe the calvanists are right and I'm just not elected? Has god hated me like esau? These things flood my mind. I tell myself it's the enemy working on me. My faith is weak, I'm one existential crisis after another. I must be some easy target practice for satan and his minions. But still I can not convince myself that salvation is free to me. I don't just want to believe, I need to, have to. I know I cannot bear the weight of my own sin. I know I cannot pay that debt and the toll will be taken out eternally without christ to bring me before God. I beg that any person willing to pray for me, pray that; the holy spirit move in me that I may hear the call and say yes. Pray that god's grace and mercy flow into my life. Pray that the enemy hold no more power over me. Pray that I learn and understand empathy for others and humility. Pray that as I beg face down at the feet of christ that my sins be forgiven and I can be made new. Thanks to anyone who read this

I don't know how to pray properly, I've seen my prayers more like conversation, and I will ask for you (and anyone in this situation, also myself) to get better :) I hope you will have a beatiful day, week, month, a year or a decade, I just hope things will turn out just fine

me too. I am atheist and don't relate well to religions other then Buddism. (I'm asian. Where I live, 90% of people are buddism so I don't even have a full understanding of what Christianity is about.) But Skillet (which their songs are suppose to be about God) DOSE get me through time of doubts, give me courage and hope to fight for when things turn its back on me. Bold statement. Im not going to judge or critique your opinion, but, statistically, they have some of the worst ratings and most of their shows never get sold out. Unlike a lot of other bands. But these guys are too popular to be underrated. The only thing they COULD be is maybe best co-ed or Christian Rock band but thats even stretching it
i lost my dad two days ago, he was such a great man, helped whoever whenever he could, generously gave without holding back, he cared for his family so much. i lost him while am away from my country, havent seen him for 3 years and i ll be graduating just to go home where he is not breaks my heart. i love you dad.

God will get you through this mess even if it means you suffer through the pain in order to realize who you truly are on the inside. Just keep Jesus in your heart, especially for your dad's sake. It would mean a lot to him if you did. Better to have loved someone and to have fought for them, then to not believe at all. Don't worry, brother. You're not alone, God will take care of you

The band I first started out accusing of being fakes, leading people falsely & telling everyone not to listen to later became my favorite most trusted Christian band that stands the boldest on the truth without compromise or bending to the world. Love the music, love the lyrics, love the novels, love the Cooper Stuff Podcast, & sure I'm going to love the New book "Awake & Alive to truth" by John Cooper. Hey there Skillet, South African here, what you're doing for Uganda is truly beautiful, the world needs more of these messages, I absolutely back what you're doing in every single way. The suffering I have seen in my life is more than anyone would like to even think about, but we should, because as long as their suffering in the world we should never turn a blind eye to it. My entire life I have constantly assisted everyone that I interact with as much as I possibly can, even if it is hard to believe because we live in a world where people can be deceitful. Even if only one person here trusts what I am saying and continues to do good in the world because they know they're not alone in helping their fellow people then this message has served its purpose. I love human beings and will not ever stop doing everything I can to be a positive influence in the world. Always be kind to your fellow man and woman. Great charity, my family sponser 16 children all over the world. These kids are so appreciative, they wrote letters. More importantantly Compassion is the real deal. They teach communities to be independent. Firstly they start with clean water, medical clinics, teaching the children, vocational training. The kids grow up and become leaders raising the next genetation. I'm an Emergency RN battling Covid and the good news is we will kick Covid's butt with our N95 mask on, lots of PPE, hand sanitizer, etc. Lots of folks suffering, we're doing our best to help these folks. God is good, all the time!

i lost my dad two days ago, he was such a great man, helped whoever whenever he could, generously gave without holding back, he cared for his family so much. i lost him while am away from my country, havent seen him for 3 years and i ll be graduating just to go home where he is not breaks my heart. i love you dad.

God will get you through this mess even if it means you suffer through the pain in order to realize who you truly are on the inside. Just keep Jesus in your heart, especially for your dad's sake. Looking for Angels, yeah its now a Christmas song! This was one of the first Skillet songs that I'd ever heard. And I still absolutely love it. Thanks John Cooper, your ministry has been a Godsend to every lofe God has touched through you and Skillet.

Hey there Skillet, South African here, what you're doing for Uganda is truly beautiful, the world needs more of these messages, I absolutely back what you're doing in every single way. The suffering I have seen in my life is more than anyone would like to even think about, but we should, because as long as their suffering in the world we should never turn a blind eye to it. My entire life I have constantly assisted everyone that I interact with as much as I possibly can, even if it is hard to believe because we live in a world where people can be deceitful. Even if only one person here trusts what I am saying and continues to do good in the world because they know they're not alone in helping their fellow people then this message has served its purpose. I love human beings and will not ever stop doing everything I can to be a positive influence in the world. Always be kind to your fellow man and woman. This song it reminds me of people walking past God and his angels like you said in the song and not taking his hand especially this year. It’s like some people go to church and say they are Christian but when they leave they do things God doesn’t like and they just walk past him and his angels. Love the song

Great charity, my family sponser 16 children all over the world. These kids are so appreciative, they wrote letters. More importantantly Compassion is the real deal. They teach communities to be independent. Firstly they start with clean water, medical clinics, teaching the children, vocational training. The kids grow up and become leaders raising the next genetation. I'm an Emergency RN battling Covid and the good news is we will kick Covid's butt with our N95 mask on, lots of PPE, hand sanitizer, etc. Lots of folks suffering, we're doing our best to help these folks. God is good, all the time!
