As a male harmonica player wanting to play gospel blues I was told the same thing but God instructed me otherwise and I blew Harp in a Gospel Blues Band for over a year. We played in all of the churches that allowed us to play and also at homeless shelters. We had alot of fun spreading the gospel with Gospel Blues. We spoke alot too about the meaning of the songs we wrote. It was all 100% original material.
Jen is nothing short of amazing!! She goes all out 220% on every song, and the fact that she is able to sing and drum at the same time takes some serious skill!! Keep on rocking Jen!
I just discovered this band...this drummer is actually pretty amazing. Just enough without going overboard with stick trix and nonsense. Just the perfect amount of everything she is doing.... Amazing stuff. And she sings.... Which fits her playing...or is why she plays this way...but no matter what, top notch stuff here....

I love how Jen during the verses is keeping it tight, in the pocket, looks focused…as soon as it gets to the chorus it’s like the psycho in Jen’s head comes out 😂😂 In all seriousness, amazing drummer, and love the passion you show in every song..you must go through some amount of sticks, I’d love to see more videos like this :)
Jen has inspired me in so many ways, I started to play the drums again. Also to always be myself and don't let anyone pull me down and having God with me 24/7 gives me strength to overcome hurdles. Her artwork is also something I admire as I am also artistic and creative

She’s holds that pocket nice, but she’s not even displaying limb independence here. I don’t believe that any of their songs do. You have to get into more technical music like prog to actually see full limb independence.

I've been watching a lot of skillet band's live videos on UA-cam for a long time, but it was very disappointing that there was no video featuring only jen ledger.
