I couldn't remember the password in an old computer running Win10. So I purchased the standard version (with a discount), followed your instructions, and I was able to remove the password. Thank you so much!
I'm hacking into my own forgotten password systems and don't need that. I used Linux to replace the cmd terminal with the shift key thing on a Windows disk that I got out of mistakenly. A distro, OpenSUSE Studio live thing I built is another story. Now I have Kali on a T60p and expect to crack the passwords with hashcat to tinker with that distro. It's very educational. I don't keep personal ID papers and bank stuff anywhere, really. Going home server and will make a disk password on something for super security. So far everything was open on purpose and I restructure my data life at the moment.
Linux easily gives root on Windows if it's open for it.
Oh, we don't all have a Linux somewhere in our homes!

They’re shouldn’t be, i can’t be certain though. And i wouldn’t try it if you have bitlocker installed
