San Juan Range Waterfall Drive 08-08-23

In the San Juan Mountains, I drove the Silver Thread Byway (HWY 149) via South Fork with the intention of seeing waterfalls and then camping. Along the way, I visited 3 large waterfalls: South Clear Creek Falls, Rex Falls, and North Clear Creek Falls. All had parking right off HWY 149 and the hikes were short enough for even beginners. Before even reaching the falls, was the beautiful canyon carved by the Rio Grand River. I've travelled that valley both directions and liked driving out of South Fork the most, especially in the early light angles. I hope the video can properly showcase the beauty of the San Juan Mountains and the Silver Thread Byway.
