      I'm doing that route in the opposite direction in a month. Thoughts on if one way is better than the other for the reveal of the scenery?

      Both ways are just as beautiful, really! Depends on your starting point.

      Saw it for the first time September in 2022. I am forever changed. I have only seen the mountains a few times, and my Colorado trip has set forth a momentum that fundamentally changed my life.
      I quit my job, started my own business, and made extreme life changes to be able to afford the time & money to travel as often as I want to.
      I hope the mountain energy can move you one day too, it is truly like nothing else in this world.

    Wonderful views, Rockies are looking quite similar with The Alps, just that they are wilder, with less inhabited places. The road is in very good condition, with a good alignment, such a road would have many hairpins here in Europe. The weather was also fantastic, must have been a great feeling to drive there. Thanks a lot for the video, greeetings from a roadtripper from Germany!

    You should see it in the winter when the snow bank is higher than your car.

    I watched this on my giant screen 4K TV and WOW! I think I could feel my ears popping. LOL I have a question for any and all of the locals that are familiar with this part of Colorado. I'm from east of teh Mississippi and so, I don't know what all these trees are. But, I'm thinking that the majority of them up on the mountainsides are Lodgepole Pines. My question is... why are there so many dead ones?

    Between 2005 and 2017, a severe outbreak of spruce bark beetles swept through more than 741,000 acres of high-elevation forest in the southern Rocky Mountains near Wolf Creek Pass-killing more than 90 percent of Engelmann spruce trees in many stands

    Nice video. But it is sad to see all those dead trees, especially compared to the former lush valley. I hope it's a passing thing.

    Why are there so many dead treas? It seems to extend as far as the eye can see! Is there some kind of disease that is killing them all?

    • @AdventureEveryDay
      @AdventureEveryDay  Рік тому

      Fire, disease, invasive species, all are contributing factors unfortunately.
