I’ve watched so many YT videos on the Alpine loop that I’ve lost count. This is the best video I’ve seen. That drone footage was beyond epic. What an incredible trip - sad we couldn’t make it, but so glad we get to live vicariously through y’all with this video!
I'm about 4 and half minutes in... Without a doubt, the cinematography is outstanding, and the people in the video telling the story are wonderful. You might consider some different approaches to the music you use to underscore the film. The dubstep, electronic driven sound isn't the right vibe. (I'd probably start with Gregory Alan Isakov's "San Luis" for inspiration, but that may just be me!). That said, the footage you captured is breathtaking. The time I've been able to spend in the San Juan's has resulted in some of my most cherished memories. And it's been far too long- 15 years since I've been in that high country. Hope I get back soon.
Thank you so much for the kind words!! We really appreciate that. Our music choice has definitely evolved since last year. The San Juans are absolutely a special place! Heading back next month. Hope you can get back soon too!!
I found your channel by searching for Dyersville videos after having gone there today. Your content and production is fantastic! We love exploring and, as I’m going through your videos, I’m getting so many great ideas for our next adventures. With onX Offroad open in another tab…I salute you!
Wonderful. Thank you. I'll be out that way from the northeast late this month. I have to say, even though I have Trails Offroad, I've ignored it due to a glitch. But this video got me to square that away and now discover how useful this app will be. Love that you can take it right to Gaia. Thanks. This video benefited me for sure. ❤❤
Love the narrative , not only what things are, but why they are! But I saw you guys bbqing those puppies! (With a perfect video like this, you got to make a scandalous conspiracy theory!) If every one knew what was on the otherside of that mountain and through the hills, then everybody would have a jeep. I guess you can't keep it a secret forever, but I think I gotta get out there before the trails are overrun!
So hard to capture the beauty of that area... you did a great job. We were up there the first week of August... such an amazing trip. 10 out of 10 I'll be doing it again.
Wow !! Another great video and what amazing views ! Colorado is one on my list to be able to get back too. That has to be one of the most breathtaking loops there is 👍👍
Fantastic drone footage...I took my stock Mojave up to Animas Forks last week and it was amazing. Severe weather turned us around just as we were headed up Engineer.
Wow! Just started watching your channel and we happen to be in the San Juans filming as well. Did all the jeep badge of honor trails and a few others. It’s an epic area.
@@FarFromOrdinary agreed. We drove the 23 hours from Michigan. I think we may make it a yearly trip! Crazy to watch your video and recognize so many things that we have encountered over the last week.
Great great video! What an epic adventure to go on. We were in that area in 2021 but didn't get the chance to go off road like that. Will be putting this on our list for sure.
@@FarFromOrdinary I'm in the NY/NJ/PA area so we do have mountains and by looking at my channel I'm an ATV guy because there is no place here to off road your car, and if you do find a place it's pretty mediocre and uninteresting, and there's nothing to see. I just went to Hatfield McCoy trails in may and drove 150 miles on ATV. There's just a lot to see there even aside from the ride itsself. Cool rock formations, views, overlooks, just a lot.
Subbed and liked! Y’all did a great job on this video, the drone shots were great. We did the San Juan Mtns 4 years ago in our F-150. Looking for another truck now, how do you like your gladiator? Any overheating problems, thanks.
Hmm kinda starting to make me rethink about my trip to Colorado in February, haha, I’ll be in snow and just in Denver because of the snow I probably won’t make it to aspen or Colorado Springs, or anything past aspen, so might just wait till June.
I’ll still head out there, I like the snow, driving from Florida in my little lifted taco, be my first road trip, so excited but anxious. By god’s grace and my attention to my surroundings I’m sure it’ll be a fun trip and still have to stop by Houston on my way back.
Thank you! No they were not there isn't very much camping on the Alpine loop itself. Best changes are South Mineral and up North of Silverton on the way up to Animas Forks.
Um....it looks like no part of those trails were challenging (besides the steepness & shelf roads). Were there any moments where you had to do any rock crawling or in danger of tipping a vehicle over?
I'm not sure how to interpret this question. If you are asking if there is any rock crawling or dangerous sections in what we did in the San Juans, then the answer is no. The San Juans are a place to go to enjoy your surroundings - and maybe conquer a few steep shelf roads.
So there are dispersed camping sites along the Alpine Loop? I know there are legit camp grounds here and there but rather just be on my own and away from all that.
I hear you! There's no camping on the loop. In fact camping is pretty sparse around silverton and in that immediate vicinity. We had good luck up South Mineral (585), its only 15 minutes outside of town off 550

Thanks Jason that really means a lot! Wish y’all could have made it too but there’s always the next adventure. 🧡
Fabulous adventure and beautiful scenery. Y’all ate like kings out there, lol.
We sure did! LOL

Stunning drone work. Excellent video. Thank you for sharing. Peace and Safe Travels.
Thanks Craig!
Great video, and it is the most beautiful place on earth!
Thank you and we couldn't agree more!
Tailgate cookers just like us.. love it guys! Nothing beats a quesadilla in the Alpine Loop next to an old mine. Thanks for sharing.
Yes!! Glad y’all enjoyed it!

OH MAN! What an epic journey with epic scenery and amazing friends! Not to mention a tiny Jeep driven by a guy in silly pants.
Oh… I forgot about the birth of #shootingstarbrothers
Those pants were 🔥

As always bloody lovely stuff!! Toni and I have been on the east coast for a couple months and this is really making me miss the west!

Excellent video! Truly enjoyed. Definitely need to plan a trip to CO.
Thanks so much and yes you do!

The food section looks so tempting! Are you interested in adding Novsight off-road lights to your Jeep?🔥🔥🔥🔥
We're currently fully booked on sponsorships but please reach out again in a few months!!
Muy bueno, thanks !!!
been twice and I just keep wanting to come back...
It's magnetic! Heading back in a couple of weeks.
@@FarFromOrdinary yeah, black bear reopened. I live on the east coast far away and it's hard to get out anywhere... I want to move someday.

Thank you! No they were not there isn't very much camping on the Alpine loop itself. Best changes are South Mineral and up North of Silverton on the way up to Animas Forks.
@@FarFromOrdinary thanks for the information
man this is top notch. love it. are camp sites easy to find?
Thanks man! Camping is ironically a bit sparse around Silverton but plenty to be found on the offshoots.

Right off 149 just down from the Slumgollian Overlook

It ain't that hard. 40 years ago pulling a 25' Shasta trailer wirh a Chrystler Newport. I love Colorado
