That means everything to me 💖 I studied architecture in college for 2 years and then marketing for 2 years before finally deciding to pursue art full time. Im so happy I found your channel. Over the years my creative side had been left in oblivion because of the busy days at work, and the general demands of adulthood. After watching your videos, I felt an urge to go back to my creative side and do the things that I really really love. Thank you!
I haven't drawn for 2 years now and I feel so sad. I really want to draw again and this video is definitely the last and most beautiful sign. Watching all your books being the same as the ones that I have made me feel so happy and fulfilled with such joy because even though I haven't been constant, I did have a pure interest. your studio looks like a paradise TT you are my inspiration to dedicate myself to art. Although many tell me that I cannot dedicate myself to that. I am very grateful to find this channel
That makes me so happy to hear ❤️ You absolutely can do it! I had people tell me the same thing and eventually I began to believe it myself for a while. But once you believe in yourself, you can do anything!
Ahh thank you so much for giving us all permission to do a "master study"! I went through art school (specialised in textile design) struggling to learn to draw in the ways that I wanted and being told that I wasn't good at drawing. We never would have been allowed to "copy" other artists artworks to practice, it was just kind of expected that we look at something and figure out how to draw it with only the subject matter as our reference. This method may have worked for some but it never did for me. Many years later I think you may have shown me a way that I can finally improve my drawing and painting skills in a much easier way. Thank you!
7:40 - 8:03 "When you can't think of something to create, you should do a master study. They are a great way to improve your skills and learn from those with much more experience. Through these copies you'll find yourself inherently picking up the techniques, color palettes and styles of artists you admire. You can then use these skills to create better works of your own." Thank you. I have to quote those sayings here because they remind me of the convo I had with my friend a while ago. She's pursuing arts (a to-be graphic designer to be exact) and she talked about how she still tried to find her own art style since what she doing all those past time was re-create another art piece. I told her something similar to yours, about how she should be calm and pick it up along the way, and everybody starts from zero and learn from others. I will quote what you said in this video to her in a card for her birthday this year (It's on Christmas also so killing two birds with one stone lol). Thank you for such insightful words, and keep it up with this incredible content, I had a very good time watching your video. It also reminds me of my old days, when I still dreamed of becoming an artist (but I drop midway so hehe, this brings back memories).

Ashleigh, I am so pleased you found your love once more after your break. Your studio is beautiful, and your artworks are your soul and being. Inspiring other artists by sharing a small part with us
Beautiful Monet study. Makes me want to oil paint again! I’m more of a gouache and watercolor artist. The secret with the fiddle leaf fig is to give it about a cup and a half of water and water around the edges of the pot. Wait for it to become almost dry. And then do it again! I fertilize every time I water and use “Liquid Dirt”fertilizer all organic no smell but you need to premix it with water before mixing it in your watering can. It’s all on the outside of the package. But excellent stuff and your plants will thrive!
Can we please appreciate the fact that she showed us the whole painting process? Honestly, most professionals would only show the start and end products She just gave us a free and simple tutorial to a complicated painting. Imma comeback for that later X)
Thank you for sharing your ideas on organized studio for your Art work Area, awesome. I like how you organized in groupings with glass container s and straw baskets and shelving and desk area also. Makes it very comfortable working space. That's always brings good vibes and creative thoughts free roaming around. Plants also help with oxygen in small areas give its own energy to the room also. Glad your creating with your artwork after two year working in other creative jobs. As experience of that is added to your knowledge of what you did . Passion for your Art will definitely flourish as you made efforts to get it started again thank you for sharing.

Your video made me tear up when you started talking about your art career and how you've dealt with setbacks etc. I know that sounds over the top of me to cry lol But it's because I've been through a VERY similar journey. Art has been in my life since the beginning and I lost sight of it many times.. with the addition of everyone's opinions good and bad, etc., I struggled with my "art identity" and now I've finally found it. I'm not yet a full time artist yet as amazing as that would be, but it is a huge goal of mine. Thanks for posting this beautiful video.
Wow! The emotions this video brought me. I haven't painted in a decade & this made me want to bust out my old paint brushes & start up again. Thank you for sharing your beautiful work.
Thank you for telling us a little about your art path, something similar happened to me and I appreciate a lot your honesty. There are a lot of art videos out there where they only show the perfection of their work but there's no real value, no honesty. Beautiful video ☺
Thanks for this beautiful video, it rung so true with me when you said you could no longer ignore your passion for art. I did the same, trying out other creative and not so creative paths (I worked in a bank!!) but in the end I just had to give it my all. It feels amazing to finally be on what feels like the right path!
I'm so glad I stumbled upon your channel. I've always been creative myself, but was never encouraged to pursue or lead in the right direction. Having a daughter who is an artist has sparked my interest and love again. You are inspiring.
I love this and yeah someone already said it, you do remind me of Valerie Lin. Trying different paths until you end up where you always wanted from the beginning might feel like you were walking in circles, but it can be a good thing, not only to develop skills but also so you can learn to recognize your true calling and finally be fulfilled.. Everything happens to transform us into the person we're meant to be😉 I'm learning digital art, coz I thought: I learn faster, everything is digital , higher demand, I'd make more money, but traditional resonates more, like you said something is missing so I'll come back to traditional or do both. Thanks for being an inspiration and keep creating!!😉🎨

But yes there is something special about traditional art ☺️ I am sure you will excel at both! Thanks again!

Best studio tour I’ve ever seen on UA-cam! Great job and, as soon as I saw the arch, I knew that you were an ATLien. Also, your sunroom is gorgeous and you did an excellent job with the thrifted decor. I’m so inspired by your soothing videography style and I loved watching you create and hang your work. I look forward to seeing more from you and maybe even getting to see your work in a local exhibition!
Randomly stumbled on this video. Amazing talent, you remind me of my 17 year old daughter. She loves to paint. Im blessed to see her skills mature as she grows up. Watching you reminded me of her and made me want to shed some tears. Thank you for sharing.
I literally just discovered your channel this morning, and I'm hooked. For one thing, your art journey seems to mirror my own. I guess that's why seeing you, having found your way back as it were, making great art while still learning to recognize and work through your short comings kinda gives me hope. Thanks for letting us see this part of your journey.
as someone who has tried to film myself doing art I'm really impressed at the kind of shots you were able to get. Hope Freddie is doing well, I don't know where your windows are but I hope they're not South or West facing otherwise it will be too much light for the lil guy!
Nice one!! I think you're in the same lane as Valerie Lin in Germany. It looks like you've thought of everything in setting up your studio. I can relate to the concept of your passion finding you eventually. Good luck with your art career. Live long and prosper. :)
That’s such a great compliment! Her and other aesthetic art UA-camrs like Pear Fleur and Annabelle Gao are big inspirations of mine. I really appreciate it. Have a great day! ☺️

A beautiful video. I just finally got a space of my own. It has been years since I've been able to paint. Never had the space and renting, I didn't want to damage my apartments. So I'm setting up my studio now. I'm in my almost golden years just retired. It's amazing that you have done some of the exact things I did to set up. Almost done but nearly there. Need to hang pictures. Thank you for all the inspiration! Best wishes!
Glad you found your way back to art. Good art, video.and music. Creating and teaching art is like breathing to me. Started recently getting back into making my videos. Keep creating regardless. We all have a God given gift and this is yours.
I really enjoyed your video! As a lifetime artist I definitely know the feeling of art coming back in our lives. Wish you the best in Your art career! ❤️
Watching this was really calming I love the vibes you are putting out there! Also, so powerful of you to oil paint with no apron, I would always wipe my brush on my apron and now it's a bad habit. 😅
Just found your video and what an absolutely GORGEOUS studio, SO spacious, the natural lighting is beautiful, a literal DREAM!! And I love all of the products you purchased and I have the exact same black case and black round cart, your inspiring!!❤️❤️❤️🥰🙏🏼

The painting came out so pretty! I can't do oil painting, it's so stressful.. you have to have confident brush strokes and I will be too stressed out to mess it up. I tend to stick to watercolour and acrylic...
Thank you! That’s how I felt about oils when I first started out too. I have found they can be a little more forgiving than watercolor or acrylic though! Since they take longer to dry :)
@@AshleighKing Hey! thank you so much for sending me a reply. That's so cool, I can't believe oil painting is forgiving, it just look so complex. Thank you, have a nice day
@Kat Hey Kat... I find that Watercolour is easier because the water does most of the work and everything comes out really pretty. You should really try it out 🙂
Girl your words are so inspiring, the studio looks so peaceful and love how you spoke about that feeling of your passion for art creeping back in every time you tried to deviate yourself from it. I can totally relate. All the very best for this new beginning. You are doing great!
Thank you for sharing the creation of your first full-time professional artist studio…. It is beautiful and I wish you many wonderful creative moments in this new space! And when the struggle seems overwhelming to make a living at being an artist I hope the space will provide you with some solace as well….Best of fortunes to you.

That's true
Randomly stumbled on this video. Amazing talent, you remind me of my 17 year old daughter. She loves to paint. Im blessed to see her skills mature as she grows up. Watching you reminded me of her and made me want to shed some tears. Thank you for sharing.
This whole video and your vibe and life is the definition of pixie dreamy bliss. Thank you for the relaxing time!
aw I love that!
That studio is a dream!!! Such a beautiful creative space ☺️
Thanks so much!! I’m so happy with how it turned out!
Why do I feel like I was about to cry? This was so beautiful to watch and listen to. Congrats on your first video, you are AMAZING!
Aww that’s so sweet Vanessa 💖 thank you!!
Thanks for filming and sharing the video. You have a lovely home for your creative mind. Enjoy and share more. Thx again.
these baby blue pants are fire. and the whole atmosphere is very calming and makes me feel happy for you.
I'm so happy that you refound your love for art and you're pursuing your art career ❤️ I loved how your studio turned out!
That means so much to me! Thank you Amber Nicole! 💖
This is so calming to watch! I loved every second of it. Thank you!
you are so inspirational not only to artist but for the rest of the world, the passion and your essence overall can motivate anyone to pursue her/his dreams
I'm struggling with my creativity due to depression. But I wanted to say, this video was such an inspiration... Thank you I really needed it...
Often times creativity is what helps us in our worst days, hope ur doing better💗
I've felt that way, too. But once I get myself motivated to start on a project, it becomes so therapeutic. Hope you're doing well.
So glad I found your channel! Thank you not only for this incredible video but also for the message you shared with us about your path and passion for art, which I relate to. Looking forward to your next videos!~ Sending you love!!!!
I’m so glad it resonated with you! Thanks so much for the support ☺️❤️
Okay me enamore de esa habitación, cuando sea grande pediré tener una con tan hermosa vista y espacio tan acogedor leería alli todo el tiempo respirar inspiración, fue tan hermoso
We all have a God given gift and this is yours.
so kind! Thank you so much. Wishing you the best
I really enjoyed your video! As a lifetime artist I definitely know the feeling of art coming back in our lives. Wish you the best in Your art career! ❤️
I feel so relaxed. I can tell I'm going to binge watch this channel. You have awesome videography skills girl! ❤❤❤❤❤
Watching this was really calming I love the vibes you are putting out there! Also, so powerful of you to oil paint with no apron, I would always wipe my brush on my apron and now it's a bad habit. 😅
Aw thank you! And haha I used to paint really messily so I’ve been trying to be more mindful. My old room still has paint spots on the floor 😅
Always remember to follow the passion that resides in you.If you get overwhelmed take a step back and clear your mind. A change of location is a great way to start. Remember to keep moving forward and don't let the world pass you by...
جميلة الغرفة! You have a refined and elegant taste and your drawing is beautiful
A great first video! It's wonderful to see a young artist with a passion for painting! I wish you much success. From a much older passionate painter.
I really appreciate you saying that! Thank you ☺️
I am so glad that I have watched your vlog Ashleigh king ... so positive and refreshing.... keep going 😇
So happy you enjoyed it! Thanks for the kind words 🥰💖
Thank you for showing us your studio! I’m very excited to see what works of art you create next :)
art is something that touches our heart . and the best thing is she makes art more perfect
You should really try it out 🙂
Your sunroom overlooks tennis courts 😭 And I thought watching K-vlogs of apartments in Seoul were envy inducing. Such a beautiful green space!
Aw thank you!! We got really lucky with the view! 💖
😳
It looks so beautiful! Such beautiful technique💕 have you thought about a hanging plant best to your easel? I think it could be really beautiful!
You are friendly and patient l hope that will continue 🎀
💖
This studio set up is so beautiful, well done! Thank you for creating this lovely experience for the viewer, and best of luck with all of your art!
Such a beautiful creative space! Thank you so much for sharing ✨😃
Thank you for watching! ☺️💖
What an enjoyable video to watch. Love the outcome of the art studio.
These windows spread such a gourgeous light inside your studio. What a heartwarming video!
taking a course that's not for me, but still pursuing what I really want even if I'm working and studying at the same time, I still make time for art, the one that makes me calm. I'm glad yt recommend this video, made me hang my arts on my wall :))
Absolutely beautiful studio set up! Inspired me to reorganize mine and declutter. Thanks so much! :)
Thank you! 🥰
Same here!
Thank you for these positive videos, I needed them ✨💛 .
Thanks for your sharing ,what a wonderful studio ❤❤❤
This was beautiful, thank you for sharing. Especially your last few words about your relationship with your passion. It struck a cord..
I would LOVE a room like that... I love rooms with lots of windows and natural light, especially when it's fillled with plants and the sun hits them
I was wondering, does it get really warm in the room from all the sunlight through the windows? I would love to have an studio filled with light but I’m worried about the heat 😅
Haha it does get warm honestly 😅 but I open the windows for a breeze and will probably get a fan in the summer lol

I am so glad that youtube recommended me your video. And, I do agree that sometimes we have different career fields but the passion for art never goes. It does stays. After watching your video I feel like painting something again. Just subscribed!

You have such a calming aura, yet so inspiring. I enjoyed every minute of the video, and the finished artwork looks super cool! The room and the vibe its creating somehow reminds me of homes in Hayao Miyazaki's movies☺️
