Whoa! Midtown is back!? And they’re covering Lagwagon!? This is a wild way to come back nearly 20 years after they last released something. Their first album Save The World, Lose The Girl is a pop punk classic. Played the hell out of that record back in the day and had the chance to meet these dudes a few times. Nice guys back then.
Maaaaan I haven't listened to Midtown in such a long time. I saw them open for Face to Face back in 2002 with The Movie Life and Thrice. I bought Living Well Is The Best Revenge at that show and wore it out until my taste in music eventually branched out. I need to get back into it to see if it holds up. Wasn't a huge fan of this cover though...but that probably has more to do with the greatness of the original.
Dudes.. You've heard that song played live before.. That's a cover of a Lagwagon song and those lyrics were of course written by Joey Cape. No comments on the cover itself.. that's sacrilege.
Holy shit! That's hilarious. 🤯 According to Setlist.com, Lagwagon didn't play this one at Riot Fest when we saw them. So, now im gonna have to check out the original! 😄 -Joel
@@KnightscastStudiosDamn. I just checked setlist around that time and it is possible they did not play it. They've played it basically every time I have seen them (to many times to count on my fingers) as it really is a real classic. It was on the best compilation record ever "Fat Music for Fat People". Anyway. Enjoy. The Lagwagon version is indefinitely better and has way more flow and energy
@@TheTylerDurden I had about 10 copies of that compilation after NOFX gave them away at a gig I went to. And yes it had some great tunes on it and the Lag Wagon original is way better than this.
