@mikekring0420 labor costs for big 3 auto manufacturers is about $73 an hour. That is too expensive when you consider the build quality when compared to other brands like Toyota/Honda. The UAW is part of the reason American cars are so expensive with poor build quality.

There's some real de ja vu here. I was about 10 years old at the start of the Arab oil crisis. Chrysler got caught bloated, sitting on a bunch of gas guzzling inventory, plus they used to lease to the car rentals who would rent them out, then send them back with 20K or so on the odometer. It literally put Chrysler "Program" cars in direct competition for new sales. New sales got more rebates which drove down the program cars. It was one of the first messes that Lee Iacocca had to clean up.

  • @foamysking

35k is way to high for a wrangler. It dam near leads the class in suck with that anemic v6. 65k is still crazy for a wagoner. It's got to be competitive with other large Suvs. I loath all things gm, but will the qc problems jeep is having it would have to be seriously under a suburban price tag. I'd take pretty much any over a wagoner like a Nissan Armada. I believe those the cheapest large SUV.

Compared to other insurance company mergers of the time, I always heard the French always assimilate like the Borg. Stellantis is run by a couple French and the CEO is from a dying country. Two poor quarters and everyone panics. Stellantis had record sales and profits in 2022 and 2023. They made over 6 billion in profit for the first half of this year. They are nowhere near bankruptcy at this time. They need to axe the CEO and get someone in charge that understands the US market. Lower costs and offer good incentives to get the vehicles off the lots. Things will be slow through the next year or so but if they act quickly and correctly they will survive.

If the Chinese EV makers were allowed to compete in the US, US auto companies (with the possible exception of TSLA) would be destroyed. Even with all of the government subsidies for EV's, US auto companies are failing in EV design and development. Due to the laws of physics, you can't make large, heavy vehicles with large heavy batteries efficiently and at a price that most can afford even if they want an EV. Notice the Chinese autos are small and the Chinese realized years ago that the entire supply chain for EV's starting with the metal, minerals and RE's required for batteries and motors, needed to be vertically integrated. BTW, we all know the Chinese government also subsidezes their auto companies.

Tim isn't coming back he wasn't that great to begin with. Yeah he gave you hemis but what else? They need new faces and the board of directors needs to be removed. If anything they need to sell the Mopar side and hire car people who know their shit.

Stellantis, Chrysler, Fiat. Whatever you want to call them made all their money on words, like ""Hemi, Jeep, Scat Pack". All words that carry weight. However. Quality sucks. Not sorry. It's junk. I'm pissed because I myself wanted a Ram with the V6. Not the Hurricane. I can't trust them.

FIND A LIFE BOAT MOPAR LOVER'S , THIS COMPANY IS GOING DOWN LIKE THE TITANIC....AGAIN !!!! , Chrysler loves to build unreliable vehical's with the very very very odd exception. Remember when this company used to invent new exciting cars and truck's in the 1980's and 1990's..... they got really lazy and overpriced themselfs right out of the market, who wants to buy a over inflated vehical, that is not reliable at all......lol the answer is NOBODY , good looking vehicals with no quality whatsoever, lol hilariously Stupid Company.
