Just got it on the Sony Summer sale for like 30 bucks or so. Turns out it’s great and I’m having a blast, really beautiful game too. Absolutely worth the 35 or whatever I spent. And the fire fighter guy is pretty tolerable
Dead Island, Dead Island Riptide, Dying Light, Dying Light The Following, Dying Light 2, State of Decay, State of Decay 2, Days Gone, Dead Rising, Dead Rising 2, Dead Rising 3, DayZ, Dead Frontier 2, Left 4 Dead, Left 4 Dead 2, 7 Days to Die .... and a few others to boot, getting a little too familiar. I guess "true" zombie survival fans are in for yet another treat. Thanks for the review.

Amazing game even after I finished both DLCs and finished all main and side quests I still go back for some good old fashioned zombie slaughter 😅
Every character can block its just that some start with the ability while others have to unlock it later on.

If not for the free play days, I would have never tried this game. It’s excellent! I went back and tried the dead island one it’s terrible gameplay wise lol
I bought the dead Island definitive collection & dead Island 2 Gold edition and all it's dlc for I think 20$ and it's definitely worth the money

Yes! Chorus was such a good idea totally ruined for me by that woman whining nonstop in addition to the whispering voices in her head. Can you imagine having good to great game play and just totally tanking it with endless chatter? Like Borderlands for example.

I really enjoy playing this game, sometimes I just want to kill zombies in creative and gory ways… the SoLa DlC is the hardest map and definitely would be good to play with a friend or three
The only issues I really have with this game, is the floaty combat that some weapons have, and the constant slow motion pisses me off
Each weapon type has different damage profiles that are compatible with different characters and builds. With a little research and thought you’ll see how to make weapons useful in different situations and against different enemies. The slow shit is single player exclusive, which is good because co-op is much more fun.
I have it on Series X and PS5, played through with Amy on both with friends and brothers. It’s not as good as the original or Dying Light, but it’s well worth the time and money.
The only thing stopping me from buying this game is the fact that after I finish the game and side stuff etc I would never return to it again even just to wack around some zombies. It's also not exactly as cheap as I would like it to be so just playing through it once and leaving it would seem like a waste of money when I can play other games that have more replay ability/grinding etc.
