Hi Dom and Cubase team! I have Korg Nanokontrol 2 and I do really love this great feature. But I have a question: I used to use 1st and 2nd faders of my controller as CC1 and CC11 for each track. I could not figure out how to edit these faders and assign them to CC1 and CC11. Could you please help me on this?
Wow Super. Midi controllers have come a long way since I last used them with a Synclavier in 1989.... So all these controllers communicate with cubase over USB?
Are quick controls available on the tracks? or only on each plugin? For instance: If I have an SSL eq and a 1176 comp plugin can I link knobs from each plugin to "Quick controls" for the track? als can I control quick controls with the midi controller even when the plugins are closed? & will it auto update as I change tracks?
Is it possible to show us a video of how and what folders to put the "script" for cubase. There is nothing out there from Arturia and alot of people need this demonstration. Love you channel!! Please please and thank you!!!
Please I have been producing with Cubase and I like it. Can you make a video of how to use Cubase as a vocal processor (autotune & Saturation) in a live performance settings. Like passing the mic to an interface then processed vocals goes to the mixer. Thanks
I was thinking about updating my cubase artist 10 to 12. And I just saw your video and I was wondering, with that mapping assistant, will I be able to make a channel settings controller out of my platform m+? Is platform m+ still supported by cubase? Any idea?
Hello Dom thank you very much for you tips about Cubase 12. Well seems that any keyboard works with Cubase 12, however I have found a lot of problems with Roland A800 pro which was impossible to do the integration. Well I have a question for you. Is it possible to map a QC control to a "monitoring" preset? For example for live purposes I need to switch between monitoring of tracks 4 and 5 to tracks 6&7? So, basically is it possible to "memorize" the monitoring preset with mixer settings (snapshots?) and call it out together by pressing a...pad button on a midi controller? Assuming I can assign any command to a midi controller button.
Can I mapping and create script for older midi keyboard, for example AKAI MPK 88? Does it integration works in Cubase 10 or 12 version? Thank you im advance? Regards

Salut 😎 j'ai vu ta vidéo pour programmer ton clavier midi sur cubase 12 . Moi j'ai un M Audio code 25 et je n'arrive pas activer ? Merci pour tout renseignements . À bientôt 👍
A more detailed tutorial should be developed and published for "Midi Remote". Unfortunately, the DVD tutorial "Cubase 12 Practice Tutorial" only touched on this topic to a limited extent. On the one hand, the properties of an element that is introduced for a controller can only be displayed on the right, not changed, and if I briefly touch the element as described, the properties are not always set correctly and cannot then be adjusted in the GUI. So only the programming remains and the description is currently only available in English and in the browser. It can take a lot of time for the manufacturers to do something about it. If you then want to assign a function to an element, you will not be able to find every conceivable function. My controller has a jog wheel with which I can move / move the cursor. Such a wheel works forwards and backwards, how should I choose that, it doesn't seem to exist. My controller can assign keys several times and there are some keys that are not transmitted, but which cause the controller to send other midi data under a key or slider. Is multiple assignment possible? Then my controller has a display and an indicator for time, beats, etc., how do I get them to cooperate? The whole thing is new and therefore a lot of work will be necessary before the previous studio settings can be replaced. Unfortunately, my controller is currently not running completely and properly with any DAW, so I had hope that something was possible with "Mdi Remote". A controller for pure fader settings is superfluous for me, I would like to be able to control the parameters of the plug-in effects so that they can be adjusted more by ear than by the visual. It doesn't work properly with the mouse, because a controller often has to be applied several times and then I look at the monitor again to hit the controller at all. With a regulator on the controller, I can also feel it and don't have to start again. This feature is still new and still needs some changes and optimizations, it is already too early for my concerns as "set and forget" as Dom calls it in a video.
Thank for sharing. On my SL61Mk3 , When creating , the knobs are created when rotaating them as described : fine . But the buttons are not created : A bug with the 61SL ? what is wrong ? Tks for advices
Dom could you do a video on how to export remote scripts. I've tried it and they never load again when you try to re-import. If I want to back up my remote scripts how do I do it?
what about the faders, though? I did a complete mapping of my a&h console. I had it working, (mute buttons, solo buttons, faders) I set each one to global, saved the midi controller, the sessions also, then closed cubase. Reopened this morning and now it's not working? What did I miss? Do you have a video on this already, plz? Thank you!
I´ve tried to exactly that on Cubase 13 pro trial. I have Komplete Control 49 Keyboard, Steinberg cc121 and morningstar mc6 pro. Cubase didn´t find any of the devices. And none of them were to be found in the devices list. Kind of surprise that those high end devices didn´t show up. Maybe something for Steinberg to update?
Nanokontrol 2 from Korg was working very fine before.. Now with Cubase 13, it's not working anymore for the eight tracks except for the 1st track.. is it a workaround to make it working ? Thanks
I purchased Alesis V49 MKII usb midi keyboard I can't hear any sound I'm getting input level on Transport bar but no output sound. Do know the correct way of setting this up in Cubase 12 pro 12.0.52 MacBook pro m1 It works great with my Toontrack EZ keys desktop app but not in Cubase. Thanks so much for your time.🙂
Hi Dom Regarding the remote control functions For example, if I have 4 tracks with an SSL channel strip plugin on all 4 tracks, can I use the controller's 8 buttons control the 4 channel strips as I move from one track to another?
I've been unable to get a MIDI Remote to "latch" to the QC's of a MIDI Track. I don't believe this is a *current* feature, but there is a strong desire from users for it's implementation!
Have you run into any controllers that do not respond to the add MIDI remote controller? I was unsuccessful getting the MIDI Remote to respond with my Nektar Panorama P6.
Question (prospective Cubase owner here), are the QC mappings definable for multiple FX plugins discretely? IOW, can I define a set of QC for one plugin, and another different set for another plugin and they will be correctly assigned when I have that plugin in focus? And is that switching automatic? And if you don't have a plugin in focus, do those same knobs then go back to controlling the pan? That wasn't clear in the video, and I'm not sure if this is the case or an Either/Or type situation. Anybody know?
Thank you for this video. But, have you Dom, or anyone else had the problem where the Learn mode stops working while you are trying to assign the faders? I can get all the encoders to register, same as in Dom's video, but then only 1 fader will register on my Arturia Keylab mkII 61. At that point I cannot continue registering the rest of the controls. Help?
Still can't do per track remote of the 'pre' eq section.... EDIT: You can!, but you can't open Insert effect GUI's. Also, how do you delete an instance of a controller? I can see how to disable a script, but that just disables it rather than removing an instance. Plus when will they get the 'Listen' keyboard shortcut to work in the full screen key editor?
Is there a way to import/export the MAPS (not the scripts, but the MAPS), just like we can import/export the Generic Remote settings back in the Studio--Studio Setup?
I've been using Protools for 15 years, Ableton Live for as long as i remember, Reason for even longer. Today i crossgraded to Cubase 12 ... i tried it tonight, 27 instrument tracks with a lot of EQ - Mixing process - 27 sample based instrument tracks & i'm only at a 3rd of my CPU ... to be honest, Cubase is one of the most stable DAW i've used. The summing is somehow so accurate. I'm happy i've switched to Steinberg really. ... one thing i've just noticed ... the UI scaling is available on Windows only !!! please guys, make it for mac users as the UI is pretty small on 5K displays. Other than that, Cubase 12 is a great DAW. !!! After a week of use of Cubase !!! : for real guys, i must be doing something wrong with my other DAWS but here it is : 33 instrument tracks + 6 reverb buses + 8 Group VCA's + each instrument track has an EQ & a send to its appropriate reverb bus + each group has 1 Eq 1 Comp & 1 Ozone instance + the Master bus has also 1 Eq 1 Comp & 1 Ozone .... I just can't read such a project in Ableton Live, neither protools neither Reason !!! WTHeck !!!!!!! For real guys !!! Am i doing something wrong with my other DAWS (all have the same settings : soundcard sample rate, external SSD's etc etc) !???!!? In cubase, i can play with the timeline, backward, forward, start & stop, play pause, mute solo etc etc in live, the same for the modulation lanes... i just don't have any problem at all when i get pops & cracks in my other DAWS ... Do you guys have noticed this abyssal difference of stability between Cubase & ... every other DAW !?!?!?! I even posted a thread on the Cubase user forum, to understand it (no war between every DAWS).
I was wondering if?.................. I have the Icon Platform M+ control surface which, for whatever reason, will not set up it's user define mode for the way in which i want to use it? Like setting up some of the faders to control modulation, expression etc etc, rather than just basic track volume faders? Can and will I be able to use this new midi remote feature in Cubase 12 to set up the m+ the way i want it to be, as i was at the point of completely removing the m+ from my studio set up? Thank you!
All is well as long as you don't have to change midi input and output ports in midi remote manager. How to do it? For example I changed midi interface and have the same midi controller.
I had my apc mini faders mapped from cc48 etc to cc1 etc so i can use it for modulation and expression. this "feature" breaks it and insists on making the apc mini control mixer functions when i rarely if ever automate mixer. how do i get it to avoid making the apc mini a constrol surface and just respect the midi coming out of it like it used to?
Hello, how are you doing? Can we find a script for the M Audio Oxygen 61 to have the keyboard appear in midi control?
Help?
still no macro QC to control multiple parameters at once..
Will this work on Cubase elements 13 with zoom r16 controller?
Looks great! is this usuable for midi device panels as well for HW synths?
If your synth can send midi CC then yes
Will MIDI control work in Elements 12?
Can you finally assign channel gain to a midi encoder?
How to mapping the white and black keys?
I have a NI KONTROL S61. Is there no out of the box support from this from Steinberg ? Has someone made a script ? link ?
I could REALLY use some help with this. I have an Alesis V25 and i cant get it to work. Super frustrating.
Hello, can we also configure CC midi controls to midi surface controls (like Platform M+ for example) ? How to do it ?
I had my apc mini faders mapped from cc48 etc to cc1 etc so i can use it for modulation and expression. this "feature" breaks it and insists on making the apc mini control mixer functions when i rarely if ever automate mixer. how do i get it to avoid making the apc mini a constrol surface and just respect the midi coming out of it like it used to?
Is there a place to share MIDI remote scripts on the Steinberg website?
Hello, how are you doing? I have the FCB 1010 and I would like to be able to control the recording section of the CUBASE 12 ARTISTS (Start, record, stop, advance, rewind and activate cycle), so I ask you how I can do it? From already thank you very much for any information. What happens is that as I am a guitarist, it is very difficult for me to be changing the keyboard for guitar and you reverse it because when I think of the keyboard I have already lost all the concentration of the guitar and this is a roll. Once thank you very much
I guess I messed up my settings for the Launchkey Mini. Is there a way to reset it to the initial state? Thanks!
geez this is a game changer!!!!!!!!!!!!
