I've got the Gamemax case (Thanks for the review). The magnetic filter in the front makes a big difference as the mesh lets a lot of fine dust through and it can build up pretty quickly. The RGB remote also lets you adjust the front fan speeds either manually or through PWM. The rear fan is also RGB and matches the front fans - the rear fan in the LianLi looks more like an afterthought. It also has separate plugs for headphones & mic. Given the choice, I'd still take the Gamemax case over the LianLi. (I even managed to fit a 280mm Arctic Freezer II in the top)
Nice. I bought a Gamemax F15 mesh thanks to your review. I see the Lian Li case is not that different, so I would have thought the best recommendation would be whichever one was available or cheaper... I had a Lian Li PC6 case a LONG time ago, it's still in the next room, lovely case but only 80mm fans.
Lol, how odd. What sold me on this case was precisely the perforated PSU shroud and the ability to enhance the cooling if necessary. i hate psu shrouds in general as they cut off airflow for no reason to me (dont much care about aesthetics as I shove the case into a desk enclosure and only the front panel is visible), so having one with holes in it is a big plus!

Hey, I just bought the case. So you're saying that I could buy 3 140mm fans and mount them at the front? Cause on lian-li website it says that it can only support 3 120mm or 2 140mm fans at the front
That is a good question originally the f15 was getting them and now the 215 is the obvious choice but the included fans look great and are so quiet it seems a shame not to use them
Looks a lot like my old Cooler Master H500. The 200mm fans don't have enough pressure for a radiator in the front unless you put three 120mm fans on it.
I'm pretty sure this one made it on the GN 2020 roundup. the 140mm push big air. I just think that most cases don't do the 140mm fans any justice as they cut off their visibility. It's good to see CM and LL following after FD on the front mesh panel. I like that Lian Li is keeping the design minimalistic. appart from the 140mm fans, I don't see the difference between this case and the TD 500 Mesh other than the ugly Cooler Master logo. I love my case, but I can't stand that ugly logo. Why Cooler Master, why?! Also it drives me mad that few, if any I/Os have SD card slots. Most people have SD cards either on their phone and many photographers would have lots of use for this. I just don't see why they exclude the SD slot in the I/O
I was doubting about getting the F15 (or it Nox branded equivalent) and this one, I finally got the Lian Li case last week and I'm very happy with it for now. A 280 Radiator fits perfectly in the top with no problem with MB heatsinks, that was one of my must-haves for a tower, there are so many little choices to mount a 280 radiator on top... The fans need to be connected to the MB otherwise the sound of the air coming through is too loud to be heard constantly. Maybe you could consider for your build adding 2 120mm fans on the PSU shroud to blow air directly to the graphics card, since the bottom of the case is open and filtrated it might a great bonus for this case. Great work Mike 👍, helpful as always
Great review Mike. Shame the two intake fans are blocked off by the frame to a certain extent and no cut out to show off the power supply. also, like everything else in the UK right now impossible to buy.
Please do a build video on this case? I really want to know how the thermals are in this case. Currently in the market for a new case and the 200 mm fans have me truly intrigued.
the truth is the thermals will be the same as the F15, which to be honest is amazing, almost all the chipset and boards sensors are in the low 30's and the graphics card gets a really good blast as does the CPU

Please review antec df 700 flux please review
i'll try
what is that case at the back ? looks like a CM H500 but not sure which one supports rear 200 mm fans ?
it is the kolink citadel, great little case
@@mikesunboxing thanks for the comment. happy Holidays Mike
how good is this case against the MSI mag forge 100R ? eagerly waiting for your opinion
this is better in my opinion
@@mikesunboxing tyvm mike!
Please review cooler master mb520 argb
i'll see what i can do
No one in their right mind should buy this case over the gamemax F15, there are two many drawbacks in comparison
i would disagree the f15 fans are very similar but not as good bearing and noise wise, i have just traded my f15 for this and i actually prefer the looks although it is very similar
@@mikesunboxing I just can’t overlook that it doesn’t have an ARGB fan on the back. Hate cases like that
@@mikesunboxing in that case, what are you doing with your F15😍
Is there any way you can alter the built-in header with another one with 4pin headers and rgb? Im planning to change the front fans with pwm but im not sure if it will be compatible
sorry i'm not quite sure what you mean
I mean the fan hub of lian li 215. Can you recommend a good one so I can replace pwm fans infront?
This is maybe easier to fix or at least advise if we can ask more questions and get direct answers, so feel free to join our Discord chat and we can go over it in more detail discord.gg/gaeeDPw@@tineg.325
will the dark rock pro 4 fit right in?? im planning to get this case and dark rock pro 4 cooler
yes it will it will also fit the nochua nh d15 which i have in mine now
thanks mike for your reply... God bless
Nice video! I am quite torn, in which should I get, Lian Li Lancool 215 or Phanteks P400a, Thank you so much!
personally i think the 215 offers more options, the top mount for radiators and the larger slower fans on the front make this my choice
@@mikesunboxing thank you so much Mike! I will get the 215 as my case, greatly appreciated!
@@revontheus519 Enjoy it! :-)
@@mikesunboxing Thankss again!!
@@revontheus519 No problem :-)
Can i change 200mm fans with another 200mm fans
i tried 200mm noctuas and they dont fit they are too thick so i am saying no
@@mikesunboxing thank you very very much
@@memes1to823 no problem, just telling it as it is :-)
can i fit 3 gpu in this ?
i think the motherboard will have more of an impact and also the gpu's you are using
@@mikesunboxing ohh its gonna be the x570 phantom gaming with 3 pcie slots, a 3080, 2080ti, and a 2060. what do you think? hahaha...
I think you are either mining or trolling not totally sure which 😂
@@mikesunboxing i just started building a gaming/part time mining rig bro 😂 so im figuring out which is the best case to fit in 3 gpus. any recommendations? :)
Good and thorough review, nice video =}
Glad it was helpful!
How much does this case weigh? The Amazon says that 13 kg. Is it true?
gross weight including packing is about that, i would say about 10kg
@@mikesunboxing B&H reports the package weight to be 21 lbs, or 9 kg. The actual case would be lighter, but I don't think anyone reports this.
@@mikesunboxing This is more like the truth. And then 13-14 kg, so much even FullTowers some do not weigh. I think it is. Thank you!
