- I hate the masks. They just make me sad. Obviously we have to wear them and be responsible but it hurts my heart that everyone is dealing with this. Anyway, Abbie rocked therapy today! We tried some new activities for school today.

We are in Phase 3 here in Australia, however Phase 3 for us is full lockdown, state borders are shut you can only leave your house for 4 reasons.
But is has worked only 6565 cases over the whole country and only 68 deaths, 4163 people have recovered
As at today we are only getting less than 20 new cases a day.
I am honestly grateful that our prime minister and our state premier took such drastic measures early it has saved the people of our beautiful country
I hope that we can get there soon... I'm happy your country is getting better... this is great news🙂🙏

we are doin well in SA...my friend in NZ keeps saying 'you should be at stage 4 lockdowns' like they are hehe...we are also lucky enough to have 12 X less population than USA...xoxox take care n keep safe n well....

From my understanding Asa is correct, the federal government can say one thing but it's up to each individual state of what they want to do.

Jordyn R Federal law can declare a level and states can be stricter, but not less strict. So if federal law says you can go out for school, states can still choose not to allow it, but they cannot open things up looser than the government. That is how our laws usually work, anyway. It’s like the federal minimum wage. States can set a higher minimum for their state, but not lower.

I got out my sewing machine that I haven’t used in about 10 years and made 16 masks for my friends and family. It was definitely a process and the first mask took a long time to make and didn’t look great but I’m happy I did it

My fur baby passed away Thursday and I Am so sad....he was the sweetest Pomeranian ...we had him 6yrs he was a rescue dog...I absolutely loved him...Love you Rocky Road❤️

@@shavaunbest I'm so sorry for your loss I've been there recently, I lossed my fur baby girl just over two months ago and it was the hardest thing we had to go through, I rescued my dog and had her for almost 11 years, we rescued her when she was 7 months old.

As for phases, we have been extended another 3 weeks on lockdown. None of our pubs,restaurants or anything like that are open. All that is open is super markets to get essentials. If you don't get essentials the police can pull you up and question. Thanks for these videos through lockdown it's been nice

Almost cried when she put it on the hanger... then my happiness seeing her trying to find a place to hang it... she’ll only get faster. Now all she needs is a folding board.
That bank would make me crazy too... but it’s great for the tighter fitting and need for looking. I’ll bet she’d love one that sorted them as The rolled down the inner ramp to fall in their tubes.

I hate this quarantine - trying to explain to a 4 year old he can't come to the shops with me. Our weekly treat from the Golden Arches hasn't been happening. No playground or seeing his friends at Nursery. It's heart breaking. And walking the dog once a day is just not enough. He is getting so frustrated, I am trying so hard to come up with new things and so is his dad. But as we are key workers, sometimes the frustration just gets too much ( me especially as I work nights ). But like everyone, sit tight, hang in there because if we all play by the rules, we will be back to 90% normality !! Thank you for all your blogs, helps me wind down after a hectic day.
If you're in the U.S., look up Mother Goose Time. It was so great for my son at that age. You can order a whole month package that comes with everything from books to read, activities to do, and projects with all supplies. Very cute, very easy & age based.

Certain aquariums, museums and such are having online tours! You could find an animal or something and draw or print out a coloring sheet of the animal
@@birdie8663 he has the attention span of a flea when it comes to stuff like that. But in the past week - he has become a lego fanatic - he uses his brain to colour co-ordinate and specifically chooses what he his building. So I have let him go wild with my lego (( yes I am an 80's child who kept all her lego )). Arts and crafts, watching educational stuff - its a no. He wants to be out and about. He is definitely a Bear Grylls. So we are doing what we can. On that note - I must get to work - nothing like life in retail lol. We will keep trying with every suggestion. Trial and error and persistance.
@@heidimarie1198 I was wrong, they ship to other countries!! My son LOVED the activities. They're fun, quick, and easy. We used at home daycare and this was her curriculum.
Also, maybe he can plant a few seeds? Simple flowers, watermelon, or tomatoes. Boys love getting in the dirt & he can water them or pull weeds as an on going activity?
Whatever y'all do or don't right now, know he lives you no matter what. You have to pick what's best for your situation. Years from now it'll be the simplest things he'll remember the most, which is just time with Mommy & Daddy.

@@Rippenhengst I do feel proud and emotional because i am way too empahetic for one thing and also I personally know what it feels like to struggle. To see someone else, even someone I dont personally know, overcome their struggles, gives me hope that i can overcome my own struggles one day no matter how long it takes. Whats "strange" and "distrurbing" to you may be uplifting and inspiring to someone else-if i can get people to talk about this-even if it may be slightly negative-that is all i need. (BTW, I am 21 turning 22 in May I just look younger-not offended cause everyone thinks i look young and im happy about that lol)
@@Rippenhengst I dont even believe watching is an entire solution either. I watch this channel because I enjoy it and it makes me smile, like watching anime or a TV show i like. I beleive people dont talk about emotional and mental problems enough-one of the reasons i watch this family is that they don't shy away from reality. Honestly, my channel on UA-cam was started based on wanting to be a person who talked about mental problems. I understand it probably wont get better but the way my life has gone so far, it thankfully hasnt gotten worse
Putting the mask on my nugget I cried. My nugget is 5 years old and keeps it on 5 minutes now. Our new normal in NJ.

Asa my father was a sewer & did sewing in our house when I was younger. He helped me make my 8th grade home ec project it was a pillow. That was in 1985. He also would sew buttons on shirts when they came off. Unfortunately that all had to end. He died suddenly in 1988. You doing all the arts & crafts sewing of the masks & all the other projects that you do so remind me of him. Thank you .

Abbie continues to make progress! I love your positive happy outlook through this lockdown and watching you “do school” with Abbie is fun! It’s amazing how much we just take for granted that is so difficult for someone like Abbie! Just a simple blowing air, how to place your lips and to blow doesn’t come easy.
I'm in New York State and there starting new rules were u have to wear a mask in public if not you could get jail time or fine 😣

Wisconsin’s schools have officially closed for the rest of the year and our Governor has extended our stay at home order until May 26th. Sigh. It’s the right move but it brings lots of sadness. Hang in there! ❤️

givememore4free we have over 200 deaths and over 4,200 positive cases in Wisconsin . As much as people are angery that this is happening it needs to. I am so sad that when I deliver our baby in a week nobody can be there but it’s what needs to happen!

givememore4free I can’t speak for the whole state but I am thankful that my community has done pretty well at staying at home. Our positive cases are low but increase a little each week. I still see hope though. Then increase has been slow going and with any luck staying home will combat it that much better! 🤞🏼🤞🏼 Stay well!
I live in New Jersey, and all though the curve is kinda flattening here I do not believe we will have any chance of a summer. New Jersey is like a ghost area and if you do see people they look like zombies. There is no smile on anyone’s face, and no one socializes. It’s like an apocalypse, and honestly it’s horrifying to even go outside. We’re all afraid.
Here's an idea: why don't you edit that audio of Abbie saying "okay" and put it on her communication device so she can use it when she wants to say okay and that'd be her own voice saying it! :D

I'm sure everyone knows somebody who is possibly at risk, whether it's diabetes, obesity, chain smokers or maybe just older family like grandma and grandpa. This can affect everyone

Abbie did fantastic with her speech activities today. I think it really blew the speech therapist's mind to hear Abbie saying OK. I am very excited to see if she will do it again.
We had some of the disposable masks and they too open some at the sides. Carl (hubby) tried to make some cloth ones and they too did that. Thanks, Asa for showing how you are tightening the mask. I will have him watch this so, he can fix the ones he made. It is sad that it has come to this but, wearing them helps keep people safe.

Loved meal time as I can relate. "Round #2; Mom's Food". Grew up w/ disabled brother who had similar meal time issues and meal time was just about the same after my dad had bariatric surgery. Love you guys and may Christ Jesus continue to bless you all.

I totally clapped and cheered when Abbie blew the bubbles! Yay! And Kansas checking in here. Everything but essential businesses are closed here. And those businesses have shortened hours and are only allowing a certain number of people in at the same time. Everyone is urged to stay home unless going out to get essentials. I lost my job due to covid and have only been out of the house 4 times in the last month. It's a tough time but hopefully it will be over soon.

We never even officially closed down in Nebraska. Like, a lot of non essential businesses have shut down or people are working from home but its only highly recommended to stay home, which we're on day 8 of 21.
Here in Kansas, we are for sure only in Phase I. We had a flat like for 2 weeks and it’s going up again. Florida is rushing this. I’m disappointed in their governor.

@@givememore4free not sure where you're getting your info from, but the death count only 2 days ago was 688 and now its at 740, with hundreds of new cases being reported daily by the Florida Dept of Health. Only one doctor believes Florida has hit a plateau of sorts. This info comes directly from 3 sources: the CDC, Florida Dept of Health and John's Hopkins University. When Florida hits its peak, those are the agencies that will have the info. This isn't over yet. Also, the number of deaths due to covid-19 don't take into account pre-existing conditions. If a person dies from the virus, they are reported as such.

it's so amazing to watch abby learn new skills every day. and she didn't need a prompt to put the shirt on a hanger! that's so big. learning new skills is so hard, especially when there's physical issues like motor skills which make it so frustrating because you know where it needs to be, but you can't make it happen. I'm still working on self-care skills and still need verbal prompts for a lot of them, so big kudos to abby for all her hard work!!
Wanted to touch on the Midwest phases. I'm not sure that's what it is here. I'm in Iowa. Our governor hasn't even done a shelter in place!!! Yesterday we had over 300 new cases!! 😭 As of now, places are shut down like bars, salons, parks, etc. But, people can still leave town and the state. There is absolutely no toilet paper or cleaning products in my small town store. Been 2 months! This new norm is hard to adjust to. 😭 I work at an essential place, but they are not allowing vendors in, so I've been able to stay home and help in that way, but, I'm agraid of what's to come.
we have a bubble assignment this week from our OT and my SPD daughter doesnt know how to blow bubbles yet so im going to try this technique. GO ABS!!! You are rocking it girl

Schools are closed for the rest of the year here where I live and there opening up businesses slowly to make sure covid isnt where there working but we still have to be stuck at home till they say otherwise
Illinois has extended its stay at home order till May 30th. A lot of the midwest is stuck in quarantine for a while longer but they are opening more no-essentials in waves so we can still do typical self-care type things like getting a hair cut or getting your dog groomed.
Yasssss Abigail!!! Love her seeing her blossom intellectually but also her teenage obstinance! Lol she’s a firecracker. I also have been living for car rides during the quarantine.

Our state announced closed school for the remainder of the year. They said that “low impact” who can effectively have social distancing can reopen, but my city is still considered on lockdown. It look me literally all day on the phone to file for the PPP.....and then it capped out.
