  • Jonathan Santlofer talks about his latest novel, "The Last Van Gogh," on this edition of "Some Books Considered." Does another self-portrait of Van Gough exist? How could it have remained hidden all these years and what would it be worth today?
The new book from Santlofer features continuing characters from "The Last Mona Lisa" novel. The novel explores finding a rumored lost self-portrait that Vincent Van Gogh painted shortly before his death. This historical fiction novel explores the notion that the portrait has survived. Apart from the novel, Sanlofer also shares his thoughts on the likelihood of the portrait existing today.
Jonathan Santlofer is an author and artist. His previous novels include “The Last Mona Lisa,” “The Death Artist,” and “Color Blind” among others. His artwork has been exhibited in galleries worldwide and he has been making replications of famous paintings for over twenty years as “a legal counterfeiter.” He joins us to talk about his latest novel, “The Lost Van Gogh.”
