Citerdal is such a great song. It is up there with She's A Rainbow and Ruby Tuesday. I seriously got into Jesus Christ Superstar when I was a teenager. We actually had the album. The album came with a libretto of the songs. You should seriously do that for Vinyl Monday. Maybe do the episode for the Monday before Easter. It's a great record. Yevon Elilliman was Mary Magdalene in the brown album and in the movie version. And what's his name was Jesus. He was a member of Deep Purple. I found a nice copy at a store called 2nd & Charles. I believe what's her name who did I Am Woman recorded I Don't Know How To Love Him and that became a hit. Hellen Reddy, that's her name.
Abigail, you refer to "Urban Outfitters" numerous times; I had no idea they were selling vinyl. I was an early adopter of "CDs" in the early 80's and really I never played my vinyl but in @the year 2000, I almost traded in my records for $2 each for credit on CD's. So glad I didn't. I dusted off my old turntable last year and got a stereo system going again. While I grew up in the 70's, the backstories of these artist's were more legend than know fact, you now have the advantage of books and interviews since, and I now have a better understanding of these songs. Thank you. P.S. cracks me up you are a fan on New Order, and 80's music...me too. I hated the "Disco Era" but the "New Wave" stuff grabbed me.
I so much love this. I was mesmerized. Thank you so much. I was thrilled to see High Tide and Green Grass, an album that in the 60's made me forget about my Beatles 65 and Beatles 6. Many albums that I have gone through the years. Glad to see Vanilla Fudge in there. I miss, though, Patti Smith ( I love her Easter) and the Ramones and the Clash (the early Clash before London Calling).. Thank you thank you for this.
Recently found your channel, (yesterday) and been going through your videos. also started listening to your spotify play list. I have to say I'm enjoying every moment of it. Thank you for doing what you are doing. I'm an old man and I have to say you are introducing me to some new to me music, as well as some old favorites...Thank you
Quicksilver Messenger Service is my all time favorite band. The first three albums are their best work. John Cipollina and Gary Duncan were the ultimate guitar duo of all the San Francisco bands. The only vinyl of theirs I have is What About Me. You are absolutely adorable with a great taste in music!
Abigail, Just finished watching both of your "collection" videos! I thoroughly enjoyed every minute. You've got a great sense of humor and seem to be a very happy person. Loving music, and especially vinyl, sure helps. I would like to see you do a video about yourself and your musical journey. How did you learn about all of these albums that are more from my era than a young person such as yourself? Sounds like your dad may have influenced your musical interests. What are you musical firsts and favorites? What's on your wish list? What audio equipment are you using and are you looking to upgrade over time? Do you have a Blu-ray or DVD player and watch music videos? Lots to go over! Based on what's in your music collection, I would highly recommend you seek out material from these two musicians: 1. Joe Bonamassa (Joe opened up for BB King when he was 11 years old!) The album I am recommending also includes a song Joe played with Eric Clapton, Further on up the Road). Check out "Joe Bonamassa - Live at Royal Albert Hall". This one is my favorites of his! Talk about energy and passion! This is a visual treat as well, so if you have a Blu-ray player, or even just a DVD player, I would get that for sure. You can see the full concert, and his others, on You Tube to get a taste of what JB is all about. Many are on vinyl and available discounted at times on his website. I find his live concerts are better than the studio albums. 2. Linda Ronstadt - I was really surprised your collection had no LP's from her. She started out with the Stone Poney's . . . Different Drum, Long Long Time, both around 1967. Her first 4 solo albums are the best. She has so many beautiful hit songs: Tracks of My tears, You're No Good, Lose Again. I Can't Help It if I'm Still In Love With You, When Will I be Loved? She tried, and succeeded, in just about every genre possible. She even did 3 albums with Nelsen Riddle and his orchestra as well as a great well recorded album with Aaron Neville (Don't Know Much). I really think you would appreciate her music. OK that's enough rambling. Keep the enthusiasm going Abigail!!!! PS: One more, sorry . . . . Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young's live "Four Way Street" double album! Extended versions of Southern Man, Carry On and Ohio. Some of the best live guitar, harmony you'll ever hear. Hard to find, but you'll be happy you did. JM
My GF grew up in the Haight/Ashbury neighborhood...she seen all the big bands of the 60s....she seen Quicksilver Messenger Service at the Fillmore....fresh-air is my fav.
There’s a new book out about the Byrds and their influence on fashion. Could be something you’d consider. I’m running out of boot cut original 60s cord trousers and shirts. Just can’t find ‘em anymore. Fit a treat.
If you and I met in person, we would never stop talking. A small sample of the bands that I saw in concert (original or best/most iconic lineup - all): Jethro Tull, Alice Cooper, Blue Oyster Cult, Deep Purple, Ten Years After, Wishbone Ash, Foghat.
You light up my room while watching your channel! You give me hope for the future of Real music. I'm a late Boomer aged dude and you have a way of making me smile and some times laugh out loud, not an easy feat! Thank you so much.
I've just discovered your channel and I love that you have an eclectic musical taste, I thought I was the only one who liked almost every genre of music. Thanks for sharing your music collection I really enjoyed it a lot. You have a new subscriber now too. Cheers Abigail ❤️😊❤️
Another great show. Do shows that you think are fun. Ok now I'm going to try to find out what's so funny about that Michael Jackson song! Man you Hava really great collection of wax!
ok SO beat it is so funny to me because one of my college friends edited the song so every time MJ sings "beat it" the audio bass boosts. it doesn't sound that funny when describing it to others but when all your music is on shuffle in the car and that edited version of beat it plays and bamboozles everyone you're with including you?? PRICELESS. and this happened more than once.
same here, it was one of those things that totally changed how i listened to music moving forward. as for “last album”…check out gemini eye. you might be surprised at what you find
Fabulous, I’d have sworn you stole my vinyl collection whilst I was away. Saying that, my coloured vinyl is more limited. Taste is something to share, you have impeccable taste in music Ms Ramblin’ Rose. Hang in there teddy bear and keep up the great work yer doin’.
Need some Sons of Champlin (first album) and early Traffic. Early Jethro Tull, Spooky Tooth and Free would look and sound great. The first 3 Island Records compila are superb.tions (You Can All Join In, Nice Enough To Eat and Bumpers). The first picture disc I ever recall in the UK was Curved Air.
i messed up with the controls of my timeship and landed at part 1!: you'd think i would be able to handle this thing by now. have to do part 2 first, dems d'rules, going backwards you see. been here before and i know first time of watching i was envious of the bizarre love triangle single and the irregular stones hits cover. would I pay a hundred for an album? saw a gentle giant free hand ( prog royalty) recently but passed. salty dog, procol harum, for sixty pounds and didn't even bite though i regret it. i want to get the smiths more: great musicians and songwriting. the voice not so much but it's a project for me. also the intriguing talley hall thing, bit niche but i will head that way. the floor must be a total mess for these videos. buddy is probably under there somewhere. many giggles here and a sense of blimey where is this thing going. loved it again.
Just found your channel. Nice job on the album deep dives. You really need a copy of Television’s “Marquee Moon” (1977). They are almost a one album wonder.
I saw Rush in a beach pavilion in 1975. I ushered the show. This place was a circular 200 foot building. It was mostly all glass windows. That was the first time I saw a wall of Marshall Amplifiers. There was only about 40 people there; when they walked up on stage. I pulled up a folding chair; sat down; about 50 feet from the stage. They played there first album, all the way through. They were so loud; I couldn't believe it. I thought they might break the glass in that building.
If you haven't done so yet, I recommend checking out my bloody valentine. loveless is such a beautiful album. In the top spot with The Smashing Pumpkins' Mellon Collie And The Infinite Sadness.
You need to check out Scott Walker. He was part of the Walker Brothers who came from America and found fame in the UK in 1965. Scott went solo in 1967 and made some amazing record's through from Scott 1 to 4 then his record's were sporadic becoming more avant-garde. He was also a brilliant film composer Vox-Lux being the last film he did before he died in 2019. He was so ahead of his time and absolutely gorgeous looking too. Thank you America for sending Scott, John Walker and Gary Walker to us.
Just watched your two collection videos and enjoyed them very much. After learning your music taste, I've got to recommend XTC, especially "Skylarking", produced by Todd Rundgren.
I love Weezer's first two records. Pinkerton being my favorite. I would be stoked to own those copies you have. Love the videos! Keep up the great work!
Vapor Wave I'll look for that. I remember hearing of some of these bands. I'm going to have to look for these bands and rewatch this and take notes. I heard MeatLoaf sang the song Hammer down by Ted Nugent.
man vaporwave is such a cool genre: kind of a dead genre now, but was once very popular. producers would slow down, chop and screw 70s/80s pop songs to corrupt the nostalgia and give it a super uncanny postmodern feel. one of the best samples i've ever heard was one of these artists sampling "i just wasn't made for these times" by the beach boys
Hello Again Abigail 👋 - Part 2 was awesome 👌 as well. Glad you have my favorite record of this century - In Rainbows 🌈 - All I Need & House Of Cards are pure bliss for me. Great Smiths album as well " Life is very long when you're lonely " - Hope YT is kind to you - See you next time ! 😃
I'm talk'n bout the MC5 owww! Live is like a rambilin rose. Fred Sonic Smth my teen idol. I wanted to look and act like Barbarino/ Fred Sonic Smith in high school. Not to mention he married Patty Smith! Have you listened to a band called The Jam? They did a really fun version of Slow Down, Beattles song. Thier first 2 albums were the best. Now I'm gonna watch your show. It helps me redefine reality. What is reality man!
Thats a nice collection you got. I'm a big fan of the MC5 also. I played in alot of bands that went nowhere. Had alot of fun though. I just did it for fun; hoping to meet woman. I didn't have many friends that liked the MC5; until punk became popular. I played bass in 3 punk bands from1979, to 1984. Then I went back to school. One magazine review said; that we were like listening to Led Zeppolin at 2000decibels. We did play one Zeppolin song. Another band I played in, we warmed up for Black Flag. The standby switch broke AMPRG SVT bass Amp.. Black Flag Let me use thier solid state bass amp; that was set up behind my amp.. I put it on level 4 volume. I couldn't hear anything but my bass. I could see our drummer, and hear the guitarist once, and a while. The review said that we sounded like a DC 10 cargo jet.
man that’s really cool! thinking of the 5 i’m reminded of brian eno’s thoughts on the VU & nico record. the 5 were never the biggest band around but they inspired so many to form their own bands. do you have that review in print anywhere? i’d love to read it!
another solid collection abby. love muppet show. the most lps by 1 artist for me is Elvis. i own 58 lp by elvis currently. but i am all over map. 50s to now. great video. enjoyed seeing all the vinyl u own. mike friend and new sub from canada eh
Considering that we both list MC5 as a favorite band, I’m surprised that you don’t have any records by NRBQ. The Q are just as crazy as the 5 but in a totally different way. This is a rabbit hole you’re definitely going to want to go down.
Here are some to be on the lookout for -----> The Shadows Of Knight , The Thirteenth Floor Elevators, The Five Day Week Straw People, Hawkwind and also Frank Zappa
You need to get a copy of Happy Trails by Quicksilver Messenger Service. It is a live album, so you get to hear them jam. Their cover of Bo Diddly's Who Do You Love is classic San Francisco psychedelic rock. Once you hear this you get the idea that Duane and Dickie of the original Allman Brothers lineup got some inspiration from early Quicksilver. Happy Trails was like Blind Faith for most people. It was one of those albums when you visited friends, you frequently saw it on the top of the record stack.
Perhaps you should do a video on why the music of the sixties. I am turning 73 in July and I grew up with most of the music you've presented. So I am wondering why younger generations want our music. Of course I am happy to see it and I don't want it ever to die but when I grew up Elvis and those of his generation represented the opposition. When I was in high school in the 60's the only thing that mattered was what was happening now. I remember in 64 in Grade 9 the Supremes Baby Love. Nothing else mattered in my life at the time.
Have you heard the current music? Really, it is awful plastic, crap. To much hip hop, electric junk. So the young ones go back to better music. Btw look at how classic music is doing.
Hi Abigail-just watched Part 2 'n have a few more recommendations based on what you showed: Moody Blues-To Our Children's Children's Children (my fave); Quicksilver-Happy Trails; Ten Years After-Shhh; Todd Rundgren-A Wizard, A True Star (plus Nazz 'n Nazz Nazz); Traffic-Mr. Fantasy 'n Traffic; Spirit-The Family That Plays Together; Steppenwolf (1st); Yes-Time And A Word; Stevie Wonder-Fulfillingness' First Finale; Joao Gilberto-Amoroso. I love the song Kathleen McArthur from the Tommy James Crimson & Clover album! Lookin' forward to hearin' Basement-Summer's Color, Robin Tyner-It's Only Rock 'N Roll, Nancy Sinatra-Day Tripper; Vundabar-Gawk, Tally Hall 'n Musical Miracle-thanks fer the suggestions. All best wishes from John.
i really dig them, i've been looking for a copy of incense and peppermints! "rainy day mushroom pillow" will be on this month's favorites playlist haha
I think you would dig Neil Merryweather and the space rangers. He did a fantastic cover of Sunshine Superman. Also surprised you don't have any Mink DeVille/ Willy DeVille.
I'm still catching up with you - great collection! Some suggested additions if you haven't already added them (specifics where warranted): Enya's Orinoco Way (Greatest Hits), The Monkees, The Who's Quadrophenia, Paul Simon's solo works and Art Garfunkle's Breakaway, The Doobie Brother's Toulouse Street, Linda Ronstadt, Chuck Mangione (especially Feels So Good on the Chesky label), Supertramp, Vivaldi's Four Seasons, Bach organ works. There's some audiophile specialty stuff that is very worthwhile: Chesky label's Rebecca Pidgeon's The Raven, Octave Record's Scabaret's Hothouse Flower.
Love these episodes, I have to put Quicksilver right up there. I saw them along with Steve Miller and Janis Joplin. I had never heard of Steve Miller before and they basically opened the show with Janis being the main headliner. Steve Miller Band blew me away. As did the other two. I highly recommend you check out out both Steve Miller's and Elton John's earliest albums. Also, there is a great video of Quicksilver doing the song Mona on UA-cam.
Superb collection. I thought you were looking at mine over these two videos but I am very old and so it is great that a young person still enjoys this music. Have you ever heard of the original Nirvana? A UK 60s band. I think you might like them? Look in particular for the singles, Tiny Goddess and Pentecost Hotel.
i have heard of them! accidentally stumbled upon them a long time ago when i was big into the other Nirvana LOL. i think it’s high time i give them another chance!
The MC5 is one of those bands that was around but not super-well-known at the time. But they, maybe more than any American band of the 60s/early 70s, just put out pure rock 'n roll with the sense of protest and resistance that was alive in many young people at the time.
no collection would be complete without these 3 albums from the 80s. The Stone Roses - The Stone Roses The Smiths - The Queen Is Dead New Order - Power Corruption & Lies 🎸
what? No Stooges? Love your videos. You ought to check out Iggy and the Stooges. Or maybe you have and just didn't get into it/them. Also Television: Marquee Moon. Both seem to kind of shoehorn into your classic rock genre.
oh cool, what do you know? im not the only person with 2 copies of parsley, sage, rosemary and thyme. i think you'd love Tim Buckley. his best album is Goodbye and hello. check out the song "Phantasmagoria in two" if you havnt already :)
Some good albums on part 2 and I do like Three Dog Night I got everyone of their albums they ever made the best one of them all is Suitable For Framing a favorite of my keep up the good work on videos and hope you will do some more vinyl records videos.
Weezer's first album is so amazing. Of course I was born in '78. If I could ask you a quick question: Why would Neutral Milk Hotel, "out you as insufferable". I'm perplexed. Great taste you have.
weezer’s first album rules idc if it’s embarrassing to think so!! NMH fans around my age bracket tend to be that brand of “music fans” that take themselves and their tastes too seriously and are unwelcoming in the community. insufferable to the max
regarding the "Who's next" album cover, it was released when the movie , "2001 " was a huge cultural phenomenon, and featured a mysterious slab throughout the movie, draw your own conclusions. For anyone with the original sticky fingers album, I learned the hard way to store it with the zipper pull down, where the damage to the adjoining record will be harmless, in the label, instead of the grooves when zipped up.
There are so many good artists you have records of, some artists I think you should look up because I believe they are amazing are the Fifth Dimension, Josh Turner, Oliver Dragojevic, Barbra Streisand, Dean Martin, Bing Crosby, the Temptations, Marty Robbins, Patsy Cline, Glenn Miller, The Carpenters, Mario Lanza, Luciano Pavarotti, Maria Callas, Roy Orbinson, The Jackson 5, The Andrew Sisters, Jo Stafford, Brenda Lee, The Ink Spots, Donna Summer, and Dolly Parton. There may be more, but these are the one I can think of when looking through my mostly not completed, Discogs library.
Watched both vids. You got some great records. Looking forward to more interesting stuff on this channel. Hate to be Mr. 'well actually' but the band is called IF and the album is called WATERFALL. Keep rockin!
I really like your vibe and I love a lot of the records you were showing :) More indepth look on your favorite albums would be most welcomed, as would fashion stuff. Oh, and the band's name is IF, "waterfall" is the title of the record, so you have to move it to the "I" section :)
Hi Abby, I just saw your videos for the first time this weekend. Both pt 1 and 2 of your collection and Basement Tapes. Excellent collection. May I ask how you've accumulated your collection? You said you started 5 yrs ago. Did a relative get you going on all the 60s and 70s music? I'm retired, my wife and I live just outside of Ann Arbor, MI. I worked in the music business most of my life and currently have about 1,300 vinyl lps and 400 CDs. I'm also a huge Bob Dylan fan. Have you seen the Movie, "The Last Waltz" yet? I noticed you had the LP. Best rock concert movie of all time and Bob Dylan was at his absolute best at the end of the film. A Must watch. I'll continue to check out your record videos, you do a very nice job. Look forward to seeing more. Mark in MI
i got my collection started through craigslist, facebook marketplace, and word of mouth - if someone had albums they wanted off their hands, i picked them up regardless of what it was! discovering 60s and 70s music happened through record collecting. i grew up with 80s/90s stuff because that's what my parents listened to. dad was big into grunge, so to discover how closely linked all of that was to psych rock was kind of mindblowing! i haven't seen the last waltz yet! had the album but had no idea it was a movie soundtrack until someone told me haha
Abby, Thanks for your reply. Good to know where you're coming from. Did I mention that you did a terrific job with your videos. Entertaining and you have a wonderful personality. I believe The Last waltz is now on Either Netflix or Prime, so I really recommend you watch it. You'll be blown away. I think it will be right up your alley. Hey, we listened to Basement Tapes on Friday night after being inspired by your video. Was a great night! Thank you again for your response. Stay safe, take care, Mark in MI
I really enjoyed watching both of your videos on your complete record collection. I look forward to checking out some of your other videos too. It's easy to tell you are excited about vinyl and your collection and I love to see that in people because I feel the same way about my music and vinyl! And BTW, when you were showing the Journey music, you mentioned you were more of a '70s girl in your music preference. You really should check out Journey's Infinity, Evolution, and Departure, albums from 1978, 1979, and 1980. And if you're into the fusion rock, before they had Steve Perry, they had some really cool stuff that goes back as far as 1975...or 1973 if you can find the bootlegs :-) Keep up the good work and the really cool videos and attitude. But most of all, keep enjoying it like you're doing. I really enjoyed the vast diversity in your collection too. Rock on... :-)
What t table is that? I’m surprised you don’t have folklore and evermore since you’re a Joni fan. LDR is my favorite now. She gets better every album, B Bannisters is awesome. The paradise ep is too and It is still reasonably priced. Check out M.I.A. too , I just discovered her myself.
it’s an audio-technica AT-LP3, decided to put the stickers on it last year! i don’t get many new pressings, but for how much i enjoy folklore/evermore i’ll pick them up eventually
@@abigaildevoe the flowers are cool 🌸. I know a girl who put daisies on her firearm 😆 those 2 latest t s albums are reasonably priced for now. Her albums go up/down in price. I was lucky to get her rsd 45. LDR albums are still pricey though.
I love Quicksilver Messenger service, those first two albums are great, shady Grove is good two, you should check out Man, a Welsh band who were big Quicksilver fans, they put out a lot of LPs, be good to yourself at least once a day,is one of the best, they did a live album with John Cipollina as a guest, I love Man they are great, also Help Yourself who were friends of theirs, two cool UK bands that were heavily influenced by the west coast psychedelic scene, check them out,I'd be interested to know what you think.
I admire your restraint because I can’t say “Kick Out the Jams” without saying …well, you know.
That compound word that Samuel L Jackson says?
Kick out the jams, Motherlover!
Why am I watching this? Because whenever I go to someone’s house for the first time, I HAVE to dig through their collection!
AHHH MOUNTAIN GOATS MENTIONED
I love Marianne Faithfull too, especially Broken English. What an underappreciated artist and album. Great videos!

i've considered a JCS episode more than once but i reeeeally don't want to piss off any superfans. or worse, hardcore musical theater people
@@abigaildevoe That's ok.
If you're looking for more Quicksilver Messenger Service, "Happy Trails" is the one to get. Lots of jamming on Bo Diddley songs!
Abigail, you refer to "Urban Outfitters" numerous times; I had no idea they were selling vinyl.

The band is If, the album is Waterfall. Just a thought 👍
My GF grew up in the Haight/Ashbury neighborhood...she seen all the big bands of the 60s....she seen Quicksilver Messenger Service at the Fillmore....fresh-air is my fav.
Grooovy collection there Miss...
Your throwing Shocking Blue vibes.
Cheers from TX.
thank you so much!
When she said "This section is mostly Neil Young" my heart skipped a beat.
This woman knows what music is.
MC5 is high level too.
You have a very nice collection thank you for sharing looking forward to seeing more videos from you
I stuck around for part two. Worthwhile. Traffic are a band I adore. Their 'John Barleycorn Must Die' is a masterpiece. More posting please...

The way you look in this video makes me think of one thing Marcia! Marcia! Marcia! Lol! I love this look!
That was fun! It took a lot of effort to go through your collection and you made it look easy. Nice list.
I had the 8-track of American Graffiti...my whole family went to see the movie....so I got the 8-track for christmas.
I've just discovered your channel and I love that you have an eclectic musical taste, I thought I was the only one who liked almost every genre of music. Thanks for sharing your music collection I really enjoyed it a lot. You have a new subscriber now too. Cheers Abigail ❤️😊❤️
Broken English is awesome. So nice you give it its due! Loving the coloured vinyl, so stylish.

Fantastic to see Explorers 6, that and his last album Organs from 2013 kinda changed my life
same here, it was one of those things that totally changed how i listened to music moving forward. as for “last album”…check out gemini eye. you might be surprised at what you find
Welcome to the vc looking forward to seeing more content.
I watched the whole thing. Thanks. My favorite out of those songs are ..In The Light on Physical Graffiti.
Here for part 2,and love your laugh!
thank you, and thanks so much for sticking around!
Ever visit Clearwater, Tampa Florida be fun to go record shopping! ...💿
This was great! As for further content, I’d love to see look books, vintage fashion content, and more vinyl deep dives!
thanks so much! i’ll keep all of those in mind
Yes Scott Walker is boss!!
I think you should keep us updated on your record collection and do hauls periodically.
will do! i collect at a snail's pace but i'd be happy to post my collection updates
Grand funk RR American band had a colored lp.
Just watched your two collection videos and enjoyed them very much. After learning your music taste, I've got to recommend XTC, especially "Skylarking", produced by Todd Rundgren.
Don’t stop being you and remember there’s manyawaiting Monday mornings try not to be late in these times it can be scary👌
I also have lots of great records and CDs I know quite a bit about them. I would definitely struggle at telling people what I like about them
Deep dives of individual albums in your collection would be great idea for videos
You have incredible taste and I haven't even seen part one yet! My only suggestion would for jazz--Kind of Blue by Miles Davis.
that one is high on my list for sure!
I'm impressed.A young lady into vinyl.I've been into vinyl since I played my old man's collection circa 66.
The Fabulous Puddle, had a pink plastic record.
another solid collection abby. love muppet show. the most lps by 1 artist for me is Elvis. i own 58 lp by elvis currently. but i am all over map. 50s to now. great video. enjoyed seeing all the vinyl u own.
mike
friend and new sub
from canada eh
wow i’d love to have more elvis in my collection! thanks for sticking around for part 2
Hi Abigail! A room and closet tour video would be amazing.
Neutral Milk Hotel is awesome. I used to listen to them a lot during my folk/indie phase in college. Great collection, a lot of cool stuff!
Nice collection. Better to have 400 excellent albums than 1000 ok albums
You should buy an album by the band the Strawberry alarm clock! I'm sure it's the kind of music you would love.
i really dig them, i've been looking for a copy of incense and peppermints! "rainy day mushroom pillow" will be on this month's favorites playlist haha
I think you would dig Neil Merryweather and the space rangers.
He did a fantastic cover of Sunshine Superman.
Also surprised you don't have any Mink DeVille/ Willy DeVille.
I Think We're Alone Now - with "Gone, Gone, Gone" on the flip side? Yeah I'm that old.
Stuck all the way through to the very end! Great follow up 👍
You have an awesome collection
Umma Gumma - Yes, Careful With That Axe, Eugene is one killer live Pink Floyd track.
Big fan of early Weezer. Love the 2 catalog videos.
The MC5 is one of those bands that was around but not super-well-known at the time. But they, maybe more than any American band of the 60s/early 70s, just put out pure rock 'n roll with the sense of protest and resistance that was alive in many young people at the time.
Odyssey and oracle is different...but the more you liten to it the more you like it.
I like Brian Eno, and Roxy Music . Alot
Smile More - you have a beautiful SMILE !
no collection would be complete without these 3 albums from the 80s.
The Stone Roses - The Stone Roses
The Smiths - The Queen Is Dead
New Order - Power Corruption & Lies 🎸
what? No Stooges?
Love your videos. You ought to check out Iggy and the Stooges. Or maybe you have and just didn't get into it/them. Also Television: Marquee Moon. Both seem to kind of shoehorn into your classic rock genre.
And Patti Smith.
Progressive Rock Is Most Favorite...Many Splendid Band In That Lot...
oh cool, what do you know? im not the only person with 2 copies of parsley, sage, rosemary and thyme. i think you'd love Tim Buckley. his best album is Goodbye and hello. check out the song "Phantasmagoria in two" if you havnt already :)
Some good albums on part 2 and I do like Three Dog Night I got everyone of their albums they ever made the best one of them all is Suitable For Framing a favorite of my keep up the good work on videos and hope you will do some more vinyl records videos.
NATURALLY is the 3 dog night record that got me started with them. Has their hit JOY TO THE WORLD
Weezer's first album is so amazing.
Interesting collection: mildly surprised you don't have anything by the Sparks-I think they would be up your alley. Seek themout...
regarding the "Who's next" album cover, it was released when the movie , "2001 " was a huge cultural phenomenon, and featured a mysterious slab throughout the movie, draw your own conclusions. For anyone with the original sticky fingers album, I learned the hard way to store it with the zipper pull down, where the damage to the adjoining record will be harmless, in the label, instead of the grooves when zipped up.
Keep up the great work!
"If you like Joni Mitchell you should give Taylor Swift a chance" that was hilarious lol
Have you ever listened to a band called the Speedies song Let Me Take Your Photo. That s my street photography song
You got a great collection. You got robin trower thats the best you need hes first album hard as twice its as good as brige of sichs
Watched both vids. You got some great records. Looking forward to more interesting stuff on this channel. Hate to be Mr. 'well actually' but the band is called IF and the album is called WATERFALL. Keep rockin!
hey thanks for letting me know! i don’t know too much about the band, i’ll admit i kept that album around because the artwork was cool
@@abigaildevoe that is some cool artwork. I only knew because the band IF used that font for their logo on most of their albums
I really like your vibe and I love a lot of the records you were showing :) More indepth look on your favorite albums would be most welcomed, as would fashion stuff. Oh, and the band's name is IF, "waterfall" is the title of the record, so you have to move it to the "I" section :)
I love neutral milk hotel that’s a really good box set fun video 🌚
Walt Whitman said "Kick out the doors, kick out the jambs."
Hi Abby,
I just saw your videos for the first time this weekend.
Look forward to seeing more.

i got my collection started through craigslist, facebook marketplace, and word of mouth - if someone had albums they wanted off their hands, i picked them up regardless of what it was! discovering 60s and 70s music happened through record collecting. i grew up with 80s/90s stuff because that's what my parents listened to. dad was big into grunge, so to discover how closely linked all of that was to psych rock was kind of mindblowing!
i haven't seen the last waltz yet! had the album but had no idea it was a movie soundtrack until someone told me haha
Abby,
Thanks for your reply.
Stay safe, take care,
Mark in MI
@@markmckeen5124 wow thank you so much! i'm really glad you enjoy the videos
Rock on... :-)
Don't ever be ashamed apologize for any record you own
What t table is that?
