An excellent video! Friend of mine went to spot this charter at a few locations en route. That thunder it made passing Kings Sutton is truly satisfying!
Doing exactly what she was built to do a hundred years ago, (almost) and doing it so well. Excellent filming too. Curiosity question though, what happened to the missing portion? Nine cars out, six return. 🤣 👍👍👍👍👍
@@Pjs75 The video features the two most recent outings for 5043, the first two scenes were from 12th October and the final four scenes were filmed today (21/10/24)
Bit of a cliche now for what you produce Liam & Phil but that was excellent & a pleasure to watch. Seems like Alistair is getting the hang of handling her too Lol!! regards, Brian.
Cheers David, sorry for late reply. There's still about three miles between both stations, so usually you can sneak the shot in before the inevitable shutting off.
Swindon built the best locomotives in the world, betrayed by BR and poor management choices now reduced to a shopping mall. Talk about a nation in decline.
Forgive me, but I can't look at this parasite, attached to the tail of the train. It is supposedly a parasite on the animal's body. He spoils the whole impression, no matter what they say
It's when people ignore the high intensity lamp, the overhead flashes it's in the wrong livery to carry, the consist which is *completely* wrong - a brown GUV with B4 bogies, MetCam Pullmans and Mk2s in a livery they didn't wear - to specifically complain about the diesel, even when it's doing nothing, matches the set perfectly, and may as well be a generator coach, as if this hasn't been standard operating practice for at least two decades.

How nice it is to see steam trains, greetings from Paraguay
Liam & Phil, Great captures. Regards, John
Fantastic captures, really atmospheric. I had to re-read the description to work out how the train became shorter though!!

Cheers Brian, well, Alistair learnt from the best ! Didn't he !
I see it is still a bit damp by the line at Kings Sutton! Was going nicely there, thought they might be shutting off before the stop at Banbury.

Beautiful machine ,is Castle class 5051 passed for Maine running 💨 ? Out of Tysley?

Private train, limited people on board.
