Jess I do like your reviewing style you get straight to the point and have a steady speed of speech. Some waffle on for ages to start and talk so much and fast that it's like they are out of breath due to rambling so much but yours if perfect with the addition of the application..some lovely colours there thanks.
I thought the same thing you did when you held up the collection, it looks like one they just did. Thanks for showing the comparison images. Good to know I'm not totally crazy. Tfs!
Oh my days, Essie really need to think outside the box when it comes to their spring collections. It's really sad that their 2018 is that similar to 2016 collection. Thanks for pointing it out and great video as always.
Great review Jess. This is a pretty collection, but not something I will be rushing out to get. I live in Ireland so I don't have any advice on where to get the resort collection unfortunately. I am also sorry I missed out on the crellies from your Spring collection, it was 3pm here when they went on sale and I only remembered at about 20 or 25 past and by the time I looked they were sold out! I am delighted to see your polishes selling so well. And hopefully I will be more prepared for the next restock! I will set the alarm :)
I really like the seafoam green also. I agree about the skinny brushes. While I was on vacation last year I picked up three bottles of essie at Boots and the larger brush is so much better. I don’t know why we can’t get them in the US.
I picked up four polishes from this collection thinking they were the resort collection and that the desert collection was the Essie spring collection. I agree that this collection isn't too unique, but they sure make a pretty nautical collection. As always, thank you for the beautiful swatches and honest opinions.
Perfect Mate reminds me a lot of Essie's other shade "tart deco". I'm not overly impressed with this collection but you always do a fabulous job reviewing collections. Thanks so much for sharing!
I've already bought one polish from this collection, and know I'll be buying a few more, but I just love watching your swatch videos! Especially Essie, since its my favorite brand. You just have amazing videos, thank you
Ah, essie. I feel like they'll never manage to do pastels right. The blues in this collection are nice but I have a slatey blue and plenty of turquoises already.
I haven`t bought any Essie collections for several years, I still own the old ones and I don`t regret it because they are all repeaters. Nothing new. The same as OPI and other brands(( But thanks for the review!
The tiny brush on Essie polishes is why I avoid the brand. The videos of the European versions makes me jealous. They look beautiful, but I just can't deal with the brush. My favorite is Anchor Down.
jessFACE90 I think that's why I always keep my eye out for the Gel Couture Line. Definitely prefer that wider brush. Rite Aide had several shades 75% off today. So totally scored some wide brushes!!! 🤗
I am in Canada (Quebec) and the resort collection I saw in my local Wal-Mart about a month ago. I didn't buy any, they weren't colors I was looking for.
I want the 2018 Resort collection too! It looks much more interesting than this one. I live in NY, sometimes we get the Resort collections, sometimes we don't. BUT what I'm really looking forward to is the Sensational Shimmers. Have you seen /heard about those?
I have! I took a chance and preordered them from Amazon, along with the summer collection, back in February. Fingers crossed they all ship in separate boxes and arrive intact!
Random question but, do you ever think about growing your nails longer? Or changing up the shape? I think your nails look great with the short square shape, but for me, I always like changing the shape or length of my nails 😁 all these polishes look great on your skin tone! But my favorite is anchor down!
My nails have a really goofy shape. If they grow out a little longer than they are now, the corners starting curling in and looking really gnarly. I've tried rounding them before and hated it! :)
I bought 2 of the Resort Collection at Walmart in Cold Lake, Alberta, Canada. Funny they had a few tucked away on an end shelf where the bargains usually are, no separate display. I almost missed them. I bought the blue, Join the Club and the gray, I'll have Another. I loved them both.
Today I found out that I can order them from Walmart Canada and have them shipped to a store just across the border, drive 3 hours, cross the border, and pick them up LOL
My nails have really just never yellowed much. I don't wear polish as much as I used to, but even when I was changing it daily they didn't yellow. Sally's carries a product called "Bubble White" that you mix with water and soak your nails in. That can help a good bit with yellowing. I'm not sure there is any proven way to avoid it completely though.
I don't understand why they put out the same kind of colours over and over again. And that first polish...ew...why tho? Have you tried to shop for the resort collection online target?

Bajan Mum I agree. Lots of brands make collections that are so similar to other collections.

Jess I agree about the three coat limit. I have no problems doing three coats if it's needed but I will never, ever do four.
Anchor down looks so good on your skin tone
They have the mini set of the 2018 essie resort collection on HSN for 18.00
I've already bought one polish from this collection, and know I'll be buying a few more, but I just love watching your swatch videos! Especially Essie, since its my favorite brand. You just have amazing videos, thank you
I love the Bon Boy-Age,Perfect Mate,Anchor Down and Stripes and Sails
Ah, essie. I feel like they'll never manage to do pastels right. The blues in this collection are nice but I have a slatey blue and plenty of turquoises already.
Tfs. I love that green color also!! Lost in a dream... I remember that song growing up.
Lol. It would be hilarious if the oil change guy noticed that you only did one coat! Haha. You crack me up! Great video. 👍
blu creeper50 I need to be there to see it with my own eyes lol 😂😂😂
The big burly bloke, covered in oil and grime: "Only one coat? Guurrrrl!"
Lara Tiara Lol. I can totally see it happening! 😂
blu creeper50 Lol, I was thinking the same thing when I heard her say that!
That comment cracked me up too. I love her sarcastic humor. 😅😅
My fave pick from your video is also, Bon Boy-age. Your comment about the oil change guy noticing one coat of polish made me laugh.
I'll be in London in June. I think I'll pick up one of those Essies with the wide brush. 😀
I'm glad you compared the collections because I thought something seemed familiar!! Lol Great review!
My fave shades are Perfect Mate and At the Helm. Cool colors!
I haven`t bought any Essie collections for several years, I still own the old ones and I don`t regret it because they are all repeaters. Nothing new. The same as OPI and other brands(( But thanks for the review!
How about an UPDATED, BEST OF ..nail polishes ...:-)
Loved the review! Are you going to be reviewing the new Sally Hansen Insta-dri x Crayola collection? Just saw it in stores and they look really cool!
I love stripes and sails!
I'm gonna have to grab these soon
pass-port to sail = pass-port to FAIL!!! lol! great review, as always :-)
„Stripes&Sails“ really reminds me of „Oberboard“ by essie...🤔
The tiny brush on Essie polishes is why I avoid the brand. The videos of the European versions makes me jealous. They look beautiful, but I just can't deal with the brush. My favorite is Anchor Down.
I have a couple of Essies with the wide brush and it's SO much better.
jessFACE90 I think that's why I always keep my eye out for the Gel Couture Line. Definitely prefer that wider brush. Rite Aide had several shades 75% off today. So totally scored some wide brushes!!! 🤗
I’m gonna need Anchor Down. I have NOTHING like it 😍
I am in Canada (Quebec) and the resort collection I saw in my local Wal-Mart about a month ago. I didn't buy any, they weren't colors I was looking for.

anchor down looks like that polish from the iceland opi collection, I really can’t remember the name right now 😂
Found the entire set on eBay for about $35.00!
"How dare you 4th coat!" Lmao. Need all the gray essies'
Jess, u can find the Resort collection nailpolishcanada.com and they ship to the states :)
How long do i have to wait between coats and also what can I do with nail polish that hasnt been used for a long while and had gotten thick and gooby
Thanks for the swatch video of these colors. I was wondering how long do you wait in between coats? :-)
2-3 minutes :)
Please review Essie's Sea Glass Shimmer collection! Thank you.
It doesn't come out for a few more weeks :)
I didn't like any of thses colors except for the dark green and blue. Essie needs to step their game up and do a little more with their colors.
Really like your swatch videos!
I love your reviews!
I haven't seen the 2018 Resort Collection yet in Canada. I usually shop from nailpolishcanada.com and it's not up on there yet either.
Feathy Girl It’s available at Superstore if you have one in your area!

How do you keep your nails from getting yellow or discolored?

I've been checking Target and Ulta every few days for them to pop up online with no luck. Booooo Essie..booooo
jessFACE90 nail polish Canada had the resort collection now.
Jess how does bon boyage compare to KL polish Ms kensington?
You're nicer than me; I don't even want to mess w/ 3 coats! :-P
Are they fast dry?
The guy at the oil change is gonna be like oh my god I can’t believe she only put one coat on lol
The perks of having a cat 🐱. No worries Jessica I get cat hair on my mani's too lol. I rather have cat hair then not having them in my life. 😊😉☺️...
*...with the skinny ass-ie brush..." :D
I dont like any of these colors :(
I refuse to buy Essie because of their stupid skinny brush !
