Bros smoke detector beeped around 64 times 😂
never had sleep paralysis but im a vinyl collector, once shot up in a cold sweat from a nightmare and saw my newly purchased igor vinyl staring back at me in the darkness of my room and nearly shit myself
Sleep paralysis often happens to me so this is my tips for those who are experiencing it too, i notice that this happens to me when 1. I get really exhausted the whole day 2. I slept with something pushing my chest like a pillow or something covering your nose
Once you get paralyzed, like LITERALLY STOP imagining scary things, coz you'll surely see it, u need to calm down. Then force yourself to move your toes, it's not gonna work the first time but you will feel that you're regaining control the more you do it. If you can you can do a kick, even if you have someone beside you, kick really hard (I done this once), you'll wake up in no time. If nothing is working and you have someone beside you also sleeping wait for them to move, a slight move will wake you up, if none, just wait for the paralysis to go away its just a second up to 20 minutes, your body wont kill you, it will wake itself up making you gasping for air.
If nothing really worked, just accept that you're gonna die. 👍
HAHAHAHHAHA yea just accept it
does wearing a sleep mask help with it? or like something covering your eyes?
whoever wrote this game did absolutely amazing its literally so accurate its insane
i already see things in the corner of my room
9:48 this actually got me so bad 😂
I started juggling my phone while spazin out 💀
my first and only sleep paralysis was me under my cover so im thankful for that, but there was whispering in my ear constantly saying, "wake up."
Sleep paralysis is always gonna be a terrifying concept to play with, nice vid Zach much love bro
that foxy jump scare gets me everytime i swear 😂
In the peak of my trauma, I dealt with quite abit of sleep paralysis + hallucinations. My posters were verbally attacking me and looked like they were trying to grab me.
nah my stickers too
That would be crazy cause I have a subnautica poster 🪦💀
my mom died today and im so glad that you posted now, i feel so much better

28:18 Happened again, but with living room lights
YAY!!! Zach posted!!! Also I have never had sleep paralysis before but I have seen stuff in the corners of my room especially when I was little and it scared me shitlesss
0:11 lucky bro it’s terrifying asf i’ve had them 3 times
@Sam_is_batman bless*
The Foxy jump scare always gets me!! 😅 love you Zach!!
4:41) the reason we can’t move or speak, is because our brain thinks we’re still asleep, but we’re actually awake. It’s more likely to happen when you sleep on your back, but it’s not triggered by it.
I've never had sleep paralysis, but that shit is so fucking terrifying
YES a new Zach video, and yes. I've had sleep paralysis a few times. scary stuff. I woke up from a lucid dream and couldnt move my body, but I was awake and heard weird noises and saw a shadowy figure in the corner of my eye. Luckily it only lasted probably 30 seconds then I sat up and snapped out of it. Apparently one of my relatives also gets them. Maybe its genetic? I really don't know
I had sleep paralysis 2 times, both times i didnt see anything but heard the creatures climbing onto my bed
Zach deserves more views and subs , such a contagious guy
i truly love your videos and i've been waching since you had about 100k, i fell in love with your humour please continue your videos
so happy that you posted. you always post right when i get off work so i always have smth to watch with my meal bc im an ipad kid
2:14 THAT ACTUALLY SCARED ME SO BAD WHAT 😭😭😭
watching this at work during break! today's been tough but this really lifted my mood. thank you for the upload, this is gonna rock zach!❤
edit: totally went over my head that it was about sleep paralysis- I've only had it about 3 times in my life so far (22) though I've never had any shadows/sleep paralysis demons. instead I get this overwhelming feeling of being watcex somewhere in my house. i can't open my eyes but I can see everything in a weird fuzzy black/blue filter almost. it's hard to explain since it's been a few years since I've had it, but it was most certainly memorable. i knew i was aware so it felt even scarier, but thankfully it was enough to snap me out of it 😭 haven't had it in awhile but i also don't sleep on my back as much anymore.
Those first few seconds were what I had to deal with at school today stop
ZACHHHH ive been watching you for almost forever ur content makes my day youre definitely very underrated. Much love
About what u said that you have to be laying down to have a sleep paralysis episode but that isn't true when when you face down you can't move you can still see and you will still feel everything you can hear things move around you and you can feel a pressure on ur body if you imagine them touching you there you can feel how hot and cold you think you are so you can even start cold sweating a lot when you sleep from it too you hear them walk about or run or even crawl and it's always terrifying when you're facing down but then you can only see a bit to one side with one eye and you see things moving close too you never doing anything just waiting and breathing sorry for the long text just thought I'd share some things I've experienced because of the question Zach was asking I'll always love you man you have really helped me though a lot man it's been a pleasure to watch you for around 1 or 2 years now and I can't wait for more Thankyou Zach
I experienced sleep paralysis many times throughout my childhood and young adult years. It's truly terrifying.
Zac I love your videos and I hope you know how much I look forward to the handshakes every video (if you forget to say it I have to give myself a handshake haha). Happy to see you again !
9:49
THAT ACTUALLY GOT ME WTF
I farted before watching the video and Zach is aggressively sniffing tf
7:41 Zach: I'm so happy i let the closet light on
sleep paralysis demon: And I took that personally.
New Zach video always makes the day better
Idk why but I felt I needed to tell this little story of mine here, It happened when I was a little younger, my grandfather had just passed away and I wasn't understanding what was happening too much so I went to sleep that day and that night I had my first sleep-paralysis experience, and It wasn't horrible, It was almost like a revelation for me, It was just the shilhouette of my grandfather speaking to me. He said: "Live your life", and I'll never forget that. That's one crazy story cuz I've never heard of anything like that from anyone. And you know what's the most interesting, surprising and insane fact about this story? ... That IS all made up.
This game isn’t like a sleep paralysis game it’s like a post traumatic nightmare disorder simulator game
I wake up with a smile on my face because of youu Zach!!!!! Love you, keep up the good work💛
Man i remember i used to get sleep paralysis back in high school while i wasn‘t even mentally well, but it wasn‘t THE SCARIEST thing since i never saw anyone or anything
16:33 HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAA😂
I used to get sleep paralysis fairly often when I was younger. Never saw any entities, but i would get this sense of terror and dread over things i couldnt see from the corner of my eye. it seemed to happen most often when i slept on my back, so now i only ever sleep on my side. i also started sleeping facing the nearest windowless wall, because if i can see literally anything other than a blank space, my brain will turn it into something to be terrified of while the sleep paralysis is happening.
I had sleep paralysis once, it feels like someone’s sitting on your chest and you can’t move
There was one time when I was 10 years old, I woke up in my dad’s bed (we only had one room), and I couldn’t move. I could talk, I could move my neck, but everything from the neck down I couldn’t move. I also couldn’t open my eyes, and I was still dreaming. I was freaking out, I was begging my dad for help, and he thought I was kidding. I still couldn’t open my eyes, and I was seeing myself be chased by this murder with circular saws. Next thing I know he throws it at my back, and in real life I swear I felt the pain. So there I was, unable to move, my back spasming, and finally I woke up and I was fine. A slight tingle in my back but fine. To this day it haunts me, and to this day my dad thinks I’m lying.
thank you Zach for blessin us with a beautiful video 😭🙏🙏
I recently moved house and had to sleep downstairs until my bed was put up and saw a full body apparition of a man at the end of the sofa bed I was sleeping on. Scared me to death
9:49 GOD DAMN !! that jump scare XDD
OMG! when i was a kid I had woken up from a nightmare and went to my mothers bed which was right through her door so you could see down the whole upstairs hallway. And if y'all remember those blue and orange nick jr clay people, those guys were standing down said hallway and slowly walked up to me and they were like 8 fucking feet tall. The worst part is that i couldn't move and they pulled up a bag over my head and BAM it was all over. Scariest sleep of my life lmao💀
I used to have this sleep paralysis shit but it wasnt like some people describe it. For me i just couldnt move, it was really hard to breathe but instead of seeing figures and stuff i heard REALLY loud bangs and crashing for no reason. Also when i forced it really hard i could snap out of it. Im so glad i dont have it anymore
who else loves it when zach gets scared shit is straight up hilarious lol
So I have had sleep paralysis but my eyes where stuck closed- I could hear someone speaking like theyre on the phone.
Just not being able to move or speak was something I dont wanna feel again.
every time you scream, my body become numb!😂but this is funny.. on a dark night in my room
4:41 bro became my schizophrenic uncle
I am proud to be a side sleeper
Yo Zach good to see you man ur an amazing UA-camr and funny as hell
hey zach i had the best memories watching your videos, you always make me laugh
8:18 MIMICCCC
I had sleep paralysis just a few times around the year 2020/2021 and it was absolutely horrible. I couldn't move or speak i could only see and breath while blinking, there were shadow figures standing above me or in the corner of my room as they slowly moved closer or just stand there. Thank god i no longer have these🙏
Bro imagine dying by drowning while seeing that holy and then people say those shits are harmless
i remember this one time i had sleep paralysis and i was sleeping on my side. literally nothing happened except for the fact that i was met face to face with something, surrounded entirely pitch blackness and only a faint light seeing its face … i tried moving but i couldn’t until minutes later…
actually sleeping in a straight position can increase of you having sleep paralysis
I dont know if I have sleep paralysis perse but I do have hynogogic hallucinations which are just as terrifying for me. I see spiders falling on me, things floating towards me, people standing in my room. I don't think it's sleep paralysis because I can move, I normally jerk upwards when I feel it happening.
the king posted 👑 ❤
i had sleep paralysis every night when my schizophrenia began showing first symptoms. i always sleep on my side, but it happened regardless, which was a real pain in the ass cuz i couldn't get away from it
16:26
PAUSE 😂
1:40 finally found someone I can relate to with this😭
That fire detector makes it too realistic 😂😂😂
9:48 scared the shit out of me
10:56 When we all fall asleep where do we go
Had sleep paralysis one time in my life. Scariest thing I ever experienced
sleep paralysis does not only happen when you sleep on your back, I once got it and I was laying on my chest and felt like someone was massaging my back and holding my hand, also I study psychology and I learned that it happens when you are extremely exhausted and very tired, having some problems in school, with family or with whoever, also drugs can cause sleep paralysis.
I personally never have experienced sleep paralysis myself, but I have friends who have. I heard its pretty scary... I wouldnt know though.
Can you do a short horror movie video pls!?? I like this concept so much!
the goat is back
30:20 ive actually never been so scared ever
the foxy jumpscare makes me jump from my bed
SMOKE ALARM INSTRUCTIONS it is a quarter turn to hang off the ceiling, then unclip the wire from the centre back (tab you pinch at the base of the wire on the alarm) then take alarm down and open battery compartment (also on the back side where the wire is) replace battery, clip wire back on and quarter turn back onto ceiling plate
I love watching Zach’s videos but this one made my anxiety bad and I had to turn it off😭😭😭 I’m going to give it another try in a few days
If you wanna know sleep paralysis can be caused by:
Insomnia/Narcolepsy/Sleep disorders
Substance use disorder/Alcoholism
PTSD/Anxiety/Stress
Medications
Sleeping on your back
Depression/Bipolar disorder
Hereditary
Sleep quality, irrigeluar shift/jetlag.
I used to take DORAs (Dual Orexin Receptor Antagonists) to help with sleep, and while they worked, I started experiencing sleep paralysis sometimes. Waking up and being unable to move was honestly terrifying, and it happened more than once. I later found out that sleep paralysis can happen more often if you're on meds like DORAs or other anxiety/sleep meds. Thankfully, it hasn't happened in a while, but it's definitely something to be aware of if you're taking these kinds of meds.
A DORA is a medication for better sleep, but it can cause, in some cases, such as mine, sleep paralysis. In my case i did have apparitions.
Sleep Paralysis Causes
Just why or how it happens isn't clear. Researchers believe sleep paralysis is caused by a disturbed rapid eye movement (REM) cycle because it mostly happens as people are falling into or coming out of REM sleep. During that stage, your brain normally paralyzes your muscles anyway - so they don't act out your dreams. But during sleep paralysis, your mind is awake, or half awake, and so you are aware you can't move.
Studies show that about 20% of people have had sleep paralysis at least once. Sleep experts believe sleep paralysis might be partly genetic.
Other causes include stress and disrupted sleep schedules (think jet lag or pulling an all-nighter). Several studies have also found links between social anxiety or panic disorder and sleep paralysis.
I get sleep paralysis all the time, always have for 30 years since i was a kid and its always terrifying
And no it's not only on your back, i wish because i never sleep on my back
it's a joyous day!! (Zach posted and I'm early)
Damn u Zach always getting me with those jumpscares ur gonna give me a heart attack
Good hair 👍🗿 (31:56 me with my wendys krabby patty)
Sleep paralysis is a phenomenon that occurs during the transition between wakefulness and sleep, characterized by a temporary inability to move or speak while either falling asleep or waking up. This condition results from a dysregulation of the sleep-wake cycle, particularly impacting the transition between rapid eye movement (REM) sleep and wakefulness. During REM sleep, the brain is highly active, generating vivid dreams. To prevent individuals from acting out these dreams, the brainstem releases inhibitory neurotransmitters like gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA), inducing muscle atonia, or a loss of muscle tone.
This muscle atonia can persist even when a person begins to awaken, leading to the sensation of paralysis. The hypothalamus also plays a crucial role in regulating sleep-wake cycles. When transitioning out of REM sleep, the suprachiasmatic nucleus (SCN) within the hypothalamus signals the release of neurotransmitters that promote wakefulness. If this transition is disrupted, an individual may find themselves conscious but still experiencing muscle atonia.
In some cases, factors such as hypoxia, or low oxygen levels, can trigger arousal mechanisms in the brain. When the brain demands more oxygen, it may increase neural activity in arousal centers, allowing the individual to regain voluntary muscle control.
To overcome sleep paralysis, individuals can employ cognitive techniques. Focusing on moving small muscle groups, like fingers or toes, activates neural pathways associated with motor control, helping re-establish movement. Visualization techniques, where a person mentally rehearses movements, can also engage the motor cortex and facilitate the initiation of voluntary muscle movement.
Additionally, environmental stimuli, such as sound or light, can influence the arousal process. Sensory input may help bridge the gap between the unconscious state of sleep and conscious wakefulness, triggering the thalamus and resuming voluntary movement.
In essence, waking from sleep paralysis involves a complex interplay of neurological mechanisms, neurotransmitter regulation, and cognitive strategies, allowing individuals to transition from the atonic state of sleep paralysis to a fully conscious and mobile state.
In simpler terms, try to wiggle your feet or, blink aggressively.
I don’t always wear socks to bed but my feet do get cold sometimes so…sometimes I do. Plus sometimes the sensory issues with sheets rubbing across my bare feet weird me out. 😅
I've had sleep paralysis and it never mattered for me if I was sleeping on my back, side, or tummy. I also never saw any demons. Thank the heavens for that.😅
That intro had me rolling😂😂😂😂😂
Name and game title font definitely giving Silent Hill vibes.
Bro when you look at his reaction 9:49
Actually, i have woken up to something in the corner of my room.
My mother. Scared the sh outt me, seriously. Scary sight!
I was like 4 years old when I was being pulled out of my bed by something (I couldnt see it because I was sleeping on my stomach) and I was Screaming MOM!! MOM!! but no sound came out of my mouth. So yea that was the only time it happened and never again.
i had sleep paraliysyenajdhwn once when i was 5, i woke up and it couldnt move, it was like someone had me locked down
I see you have just started your "sick ark." I, myself, have just finished my "sick ark."
I had sleep paralysis only once, I was 8 at the time. At my Grandmother’s house. I slept on the floor in a blanket.
When I woke up, I couldn’t move, I didn’t hear anything either, only my breathing. It was still dark, so it was hard to see.
I was able to turn my head slightly but then at the end of hall, I was a figure. Long wet hair, and nearly a boney type body. Its ribs were visible in the dark, I tried to move but scream, but all I could do was groan quietly. It made weird moaning sounds as if it were being strangled.
It started walking towards me, its feet slapping against the floor, I tried harder and harder to get up, the closer it got. Until it was only a three feet away, it stopped.
I woke up immediately and started crying. It was still night. I didn’t want to go to sleep again, until morning.
Hey Zack I got a channel member from a gift I be been here for a while thx for the support and funny content keep your head up and headphones all the way up

Sleep paralysis occurs when stage 3 sleep is interrupted unnaturally during its transition to REM. The paralysis occurs due to stage 3’s effect on the muscles, and the creatures occur due to REM and neurostatic.
Dreams (and said creatures) are often created due to your brain’s attempt to make sense of neurostatic.
