- A lot of you wanted to see a Highlander on the channel so I dusted my Highlander Hero Mech "Heavy Metal" off. This Mech is a lot of fun to play thanks to it's durability and DPS potential. You can just throw it against the enemy firing line and cut a breach into it (given the fact that you have some teammates with you). And when you have broken the enemie's moral you just keep shooting thanks to the insane heat management.

I am using Haven Kendrick's Soundpack! Download it here: / haven_kendrick . To install, simply locate your Mechwarrior Online installation folder, open "Game" and you will see lots of .pak files. Drop the sound mod file into that folder with the other .pak files, restart the client, and you are good to go!

You forgot the most important part of playing a Highlander, the macro that spams chat with "THEIR CAN BE ONLY ONE" every time you get a kill.
It's a shame that MWO doesn't model melee combat and DFAs, otherwise it would be a MUST to regularly Bury enemies when you're running a Highlander with Jumpjets.
love the Highlanders, very underrated mech these days that still perform well. Useful tip with the Heavy Metal, put the Fool's Warhorn in the cockpit. It's the only mech with two warhorns, so you get a horn when you kill and a laugh when you die!

You commented about disconnects, I have had several more than usual since the last patch and MWO stops responding after I try to exit a group. Very frustrating. Nice games.
That last game was so fun to watch, right up to the final 2 mechs desperately circling and shooting to decide the match.

The HM has a unique ability, as far... it's stable when firing jump jets.

It's not the mist lynxs fault - it's your fault! Think if you had shot at the panther earlier in the game haha

They're not going to ban someone for 1 AFK game... You report them so that if they do it constantly then they get banned.
Rather than try to assess how often they do it on your own before reporting them.
Hey MM - try out a kin wolf build (gargoyle) I’ve been using to great effect! You can use other variants to get the pieces you need: LB-20x, 4 heavy medium lasers. I run double coolshot as the HML can get toasty, but do a wonderful job opening components for the LBX to shred through. You’ll go 81 kph so use your speed to flank and spank :P you can also ambush lights as you have an absolute ton of armor that they don’t expect. My clan and I run 3+ of them together to hilarious effect (all with different builds). No one expects a gargoyle rush!!!
I'd kind of like to get back into MWO but frankly that dorky different "personality" for every mech "skill tree" thing just makes me laugh, shake my head, and... not.
BTW ...this is my favorite MWO channel. Even though I don't play anymore (ex founder) this is the way I see "what's going on."

I disagree for the reporting, I'm sick of 11v12, 10v12 just cuz some dude needed to do something or other. If there is no participation you get a report. Simple.

Reporting AFk pilots that don't return to the game multiple minutes in is probably fine. It's not like they get autobanned or whatever, especially with how salty some people can be in the game i'm sure they have filtering on reports going on so that a rare report doesn't add up to anything.
What is irritating is if the disconnect is someone that didn't like the map/mode combination and left the drop.
I dont blame him, he just sucks.
