Endless possibilities, you've made that scale even more fun to play. I keep running through it and making it a little different and more interesting each time I play it. Letting muscle memory take over. My couch guitar is getting a work out on this rainy afternoon in Michigan... God bless to everyone, thanks Daryl Randy in the Great North Woods of Michigan
Hi Darrell. Saw your review of the Paoletti Darrell Braun signature guitar and that’s all the convincing I needed. Mine should be here in about two weeks. Can’t wait. Thanks!
My goodness that’s a beautiful guitar! At first I was confused about what I was looking at and what I thought about it. But the more I look the more it hooks me. I hope they have a tele style…
Thanks for this vid. I'd like to see more like it. I'm working my way out of the "intermediate rut" of being able to play some scales and learn songs pretty well, but my improvisation toolbox is pretty empty.
D.B. always makes it more fun. Even though its pretty simple, it sounds great and sounds a little bit complicated. Thanks big Darrell, for another super cool video lesson. I love easy stuff hehehe😁🤔😅😉
@Darrell Braun Guitar - I just want to extend my thanks on this one. Just what I needed for the day/week/month. Immediately saw how I could use this to add interest, both pentatonic and diatonic. There's free notes out there - let's use them. Eddie did!
I LOVE THE SCHECTER! I got the exact solo 2 custom you reviewed last year yesterday afternoon. I'm actually just taking a break from playing when i saw you posted. I bought it blind, trusting just your review and you did not let me down. It is so gorgeous, the quality, the details, wow. Im gonna post a video with my thoughts and I want to mention your channel and send people to you (I'm not a creator, just a player). Is that okay? Thanks Darrell😁
Good lesson, Darrell! This is stuff I would do inherently, so, a bit of vindication! Thank you, gracias, merci, danke, grazie, todah, Спасибо, xie xie, domo, mahalo, 10Q!
Cool licks dude but that string buzz messes with my OCD. I like lick one but I slide into the last note on the g string instead of landing it on the b. gives it a little flavor I think.
Hey Darrell, did you announced the winner of the ibanez on Instagram? What about us who don't use Instagram but still support you on youtube, don't we get to know who is the winner?
@Arial Bigsby Well, I don't know what's going on, maybe isn't important for him to share it with people on youtube, even after he posted so many videos about the contest and asking for votes, not like he isn't getting support from here but who knows....
Hey I'm just getting into electric guitars and I need some help picking my first one out, what would you recommend? I'm sorta on a budget of roughly $300 (for the guitar) I'm looking at a used Ibanez RG421 but was wondering what others would recommend.
Maybe take a look at some schecter guitars, I got a C-6 elite for about $250 from my local guitar center and it has served me well for the past year and a half. It looks great, stays in tune, plays really well, and sounds good enough for me. Good luck with your search and future playing!
I thought I’d toss in my thoughts; Ibanez are well regarded, the RG421 seems well reviewed as a beginner’s guitar (but what’s a ‘beginner’s guitar, anyway?), leaning toward higher gain use. The reviews did criticise the plastic nut. But that’s not an expensive mod. Jacob’s response sounds good, there are some good alternatives eg Schecter. My take home message - get someone experienced to set it up for you, and research what to look for when buying 2nd hand. Good luck, and welcome!
Incorporating chromatics in licks definitely make for more interesting solos! Cheers!
Exactly!
@@Roo_Tech Yeah!
God... Let's just take a momen t appreciate that beatiful strat... My gosh
Im not a big fan of it to be honest 😬

ricky tell him 😂
I love strats. I own one. 👍
I LOVE Darrell’s videos like this! I get more out of a 10 minute video like this than an hour of most other how to videos. Can’t wait to try this!!
Darrell, you have got to do more of these "Sound BETTER Than You Are" videos.
I really enjoyed this one, thanks for your time and effort.....
You should absolutely do more videos on this. Make a series on it, I definitely need as much of this info as possible haha
Enjoyed a lot. Thanks for the great lesson. Some complex chromatics licks in future please
Wow! Just a beautiful guitar! Thank you for sharing !
I have actually learned more by watching his videos in the last 2 months, than in 4 years of playing
Perhaps you have been wasting those 4 years??

Quality video and content every time. Keep up the good work.

Great vid! Nice new licks for my playing.
I've played for 25 yrs, and have never been able to make chromatic licks work. Good video
What a beautiful guitar thank you for sharing 💯💯💯🎸

Check his recent videos. A beautiful blue Tele was featured, and slipped through our fingers.
Thanks Darrell. Always looking for new practice ideas. This is such a great idea, I'm surprised I didn't think of it first.
Hey great video. My solos sound so much better now. Thanks!
O man. That thing growls on the double stops. Awesome Darrell.
Great lesson!!

What a fantastic tone on that Beautiful guitar.
Thanks! Always great!
Lick 1 played quickly isn’t exact, but it reminded me of a lick Tony Iommi plays in Supertzar
Hey Darrel, can you do a video on EQ pedals and how to set them for best results…like the boss 7 band eq
The descending chromatic lick reminded me of a portion of the solo for Reapers by Muse. Good lesson, and very useful.

Thanks Darrell.

Cool guitar, didnt know you had a signature one. Do you have a review video of that?
I like to know the intervals that I play, so thanks for showing that in-between stuff.
That guitar looks and sounds gorgeous.
Darrell, you should do a Collaboration with Jadyn ( Pipes ) Rylee. The best guitar player and the best Voice !! Now that would be Nice !!
great lesson
Great stuff!
Needed somthin like this Darrell! Yeah
Some of your best vids are your instructional ones!
Thanks 😊
Nice lesson
Darrell Excellent tutorial ... Obvs u r a teach :-)
That's one of the most beautiful axes, that I've ever laid my eyes on!
The guitar sounds great!
Sounds nice.
Congrats on the guitar 🎸
Thanks RJ!
Pink Floyd’s Delicate Sound Of Thunder, Tim Renwick plays a great descending chromatic run on Learning To Fly during his lead break.
Hey Darrell I’m looking for a new guitar and would like you to maybe check it out it’s called the Ibanez S670QM in Dragon Eye Burst
Nice!

1 st lick !👍🏼

That first lick sounds so evil
Nice guitar
that signature guitar tho...
Where is the link to that guitar ?
Do a sweep picking.
I think I'll just continue practising on getting better rather than trying sound better than I actually am
I need that guitar
Brother 😍
Badass
Maybe you're adding some shiny new Chrome onto the old Pentatonic, but the Paoletti needs no chrome at all.
Terima kasih, kawan.

Parts of the major & natural minor that I have been chomping on....
Will that guitar be available left handed any time soon? Or is at already like that?
There is a lefty model
Okay thanks!
As someone who likes guitars that look as pristine as reasonably possible, I just want to rescue that poor thing and give it a new finish.
Have you given away the Ibanez yet?
More links please! :)
A lot of Clapton up in this.
We are not alone- who heard it?
Epic
The second lick sounds like styx Much Time on My Hands
Sounds like you are getting the Marshall addiction
Lick #2 ending in Close Encounters.. ! :-)
I must sound “more complex than I actually am” because most people don’t seem to understand what the heck I’m saying.
That guitar tho...😳
1:16 anyone else hear tornado of souls? 😅
2:25 super mario
Noice
Why should you sound better than you are🤔 cool guitar
aa
So who the hell won my guitar??? Ever gonna announce it?
Check the Community tab. It was announced a few days ago.
I think a guy named Mike won the Ibanez aka my guitar not yours. I forgive your mistake😂 I kid of course!
The title is a bit misleading. If we're learning something we didn't know before that automatically makes us better. Hmmm.
Second
Pretty sure that guitar is out of my price range but wow I want one 😛🤪🤩
love your channel bro but I think that guitar is ugly. sorry dude.
Those licks are crap.
Great lesson, thanks.
