I've got people saying in the greater SW cannon, most red Crystals were artificially produced, but also other people saying that crystal bleeding was already a thing before disney?)
I believe the natural red kyber crystals were specifically a blood red where it's still red at it's core, but it's almost brown with how dark it is. People only hate this because the darksaber is iconic and if you want one you have to make it yourself

I'm only mentioning this because while black light doesn't exist, you can still create the effect of the darksaber if disney tried hard enough, they would just have to make at least 1 crystal specific saber for the black crystal. Even if it's just an addition to the current model that still works with other crystals (darksaber with a red/blue glow around the black would LOOK cool even if it's not canonical) they want shit to be simple for them

The list iirc includes orange, purple, viridian and silver alongside more traditional colors. Towards the end of the game you can retrieve your Lightsaber from a boss. It's been awhile but I think if you're dark side you go fight her and she feels correct for not trusting you but if you return and you're light side she kinda loses her mind and goes dark side on you, either way you get your rare lightsaber color back.
Even if there was a legit black colored light it might cost a fortune compared to the other colors for it being harder and almost impossible to make so the dark blade with a shiny black with with light is the closest to it
Making a light that absorbs its self would be impossible. It would have to be a really deep color of purple or almost grey to have any reflective qualities which would be needed to shine light or even reflect it.
Maybe it just needs something other than a light in the middle. Like a jet black retractable stick within the saber, wheras dim light still shines up the stick's surroundings from the bottom.

What Im suggesting however, is more along the lines of making a layered saber where the outermost layer is transparent and may light up with a dim white light, whereas the innermost layer which is like the center of the blade, - is maintained black with no light inside.

There's some good vids on the topic, technically you don't even need an official Disney crystal at all, just 3D print one and get the same kind of chip they use for the crystals and if you have a chip-reader (I think it's the name) you can get the codes for each special crystal to change it to what ever you want, if you already have an official one you can still rewrite the code in it (some crystals can appear as regular reds or greens but have special effects when used on a saber or other toy like a message from yoda if used in one of those hologram cubes).
I am no expert in making these things, but you might be able to get a dark saber effect by coating the blade with a black paint like Black 3.0 or some other black coating and use 365nm leds. Incorporate brightly fluorescent particles into the shell plastic. The saber would appear illuminated white from the sides and sort of off-black towards the center. Problem is this thing would get really hot and probably be more fragile. Also, it would ONLY be a dark saber, but you could select the fluorescent material to make the side light any color you want.

I just got the one crystal and use a code changer to change it to whatever color I want. You can look up the rfid codes and set your crystal so the lightsaber reads it as whatever color you want. I can change my blue crystal to red, purple, green, whatever color as long as I can find the code for it online.

I think if you wanted to get a black lightsaber effect you'd have to get a black plastic blade and have white LEDs circling the outside. Or maybe two layers of plastic, an opaque black interior and a translucent white exterior to get the effect, though that would probably just look grey.

One funny fact of the Darksaber is that it's the most scientifically impossible type of saber for being black.
A black light light Saber would be so cool
Seems like more of a reference to to dark side than a black saber.
