Many thanks, you've just saved me £168 which is how much Nissan wanted for diagnosis after water was found in the boot during a routine service. I managed to reconnected the pipe without removing too much trim and it's working fine now. Excellent video 👍
Thank you so much...our Qashqai is 2021 model and has exactly the same problem! Must be some sort of common fault that has carried on into later models. I know it would have been covered by warranty, but your excellent video saved me a trip to the dealer and losing the car for half a day. Thank you again. Bill
Hi Dan, another interesting video. Re front washer jets. Dealers wanted about 25 quid for a pair. Found a site on eBay, got a set for a fiver from China. Obviously not as good quality but does the job. Best way to adjust the jets is to use a screwdriver to prise out jets. Pull the jets out from the rubber hose. Use a crocodile clip to hold the hose as can easily drop down! On the jets there is a small slit to adjust the spray pattern but be careful as this can easily be rounded off!
Hi, just wondering about that velcro on the pipe. Could it be that it wraps around the pipe next to it to hold it in place ? You get velcro wraps like this on other cables to tie the cables up when you bunch them up. Maybe they are supposed to do it on the assembly line and some of the workers can't be bothered doing it.
Same has happened to my Nissan Note....water is flowing but not out of the rear jet....but runs out onto the floor...the passenger right side carpet is also wet. Hope my pipe runs along the floor area....I thought it maybe up by the roof which would be a pain.....looks to me just sloppy assembly work at the factory.....those pipe are usually a bugger to pull off. I've recently got a Nissan qashqai tekna 2011, and my rear washer jet isn't working, I've taken the jet off gave that a good clean still not working. Do you think the pipes would be in the same place as yours?
I had a little nose, the valve was full of gunge. Still wouldn't work went to the washer bottle and the pipes were twisted, untwisted and it started working 🙌🏻
Not really related to this video Dan, but I had an issue with the front brakes recently. I noticed there was a bump in the pedal feel, like a stone or something was caught up in there. The brakes also did not inspire me much, for if I had to brake really hard. So, booked in at my local dealer and they changed the disks and pads. Now, because I only got the car on 19 May this year they generously paid for the parts and the difference in them is very obvious. Also, on a different but I hope interesting note, I just got back from a trip to Farnborough at the Fully Charged Show Outside. They had the prototype Ariya there, and I can confirm it has two boot lights! Yey! The car looks stunning in the very dark green too, it looks black until you shine a light on it. I took plenty of pics of that one and Nissan's E-Race car. Keep the videos coming. Did you look into fitting some dark vinyl to the lights for the very much brighter indicators?
Hi Dan - a newbie to the Qashqai fraternity. My daughter has just bought a 1.5 2016 model. We have a water leak issue culminating in a pool of water in the boot space where the spare tyre would be. The car has run flat tyres so we have a polystyrene moulding with inflation tool, warning triangle, first aid kit etc. the water sits below this area. I’ve sealed the rubber gaiter at the top of the tailgate (left hand side) that carries the wiring loom but still have water present after we have rain. Have you come across or heard of a similar problem? Any help here to resolve the problem would be appreciated. - Steve 0:08
Hi Steve. With leaks it's just a case of checking any of the weather seals. In your case I'd check the light unit seals, boot seal, glass seals and if still nothing obvious start removing the internal boot panels to find the source.

Hi do you or any of your subscribers have any information on faults. I have a Stop/Start system fault on my 2016 Qashqai this fault appeared 1st followed by the orange Malfunction warning light any help will be appreciated. Also my Qashqai is petrol does the 2016 petrol have a P.P.F cheers.
Hi Dan, Trying to obtain a rear washer nozzle for my 2018 1.6 diesel Qashqai - Main Dealer wants £51 95 - there must be someone who sells this little plastic part for probably the most common car on UK roads for a few pounds? Anyone know where?
2 questions. How or can you adjust the windscreen washers on a 66 plate Qashqai? Also can you swap the entertainment system from a J11 on the 66 plate with the newer version with CarPlay & retain the 360?
Hi bud. I don't think there is much adjustment on them, maybe up and down by using a pin. As for the stereo, I'm trying to sort that same upgrade but it needs coding by Nissan to work.
@@TheQashqaiGuy same old story. You can pick up a nearly new for cheap but can’t get it to work and Nissan will charge silly money for a code. Yeah looked and the washers look like a slit instead of a pin hole. Mine spray the bottom of the window but can’t get any higher. Reason I asked is I need new blades but thought while there do the washers but didn’t want to force anything

Any ideas when the rear camera washer activates? Is it in sync with the rear wiper or just every few times the camera turns on?
Think it has a system but not sure what! I just notice a streak of water down the numberplate sometimes.

Prize out washer jets with screwdriver and on the side of jet there is a screwdriver adjustment slot.
