Transmission will cure the algae. One cup every other tank of diesel and problems are gone forever. Not recommended with DEF systems or it will plug your exhaust filter.
Did you mean to say Transmission fluid? One cup per tank, but tanks come in different sizes. Thanks for that information, I'll have to research it a bit.

@@Sean42-j9n that’s what the filters are there for I figure. Keep an eye on them and if there’s any question it’s worth changing the filters sooner than normal intervals
My understanding is that the microbial killer treatment simply kills the bacteria/fungus to prevent future formation of slime in your tank. But if you already have the slime, you should pull the tank and clean it out thoroughly. I don't think there are any treatments that actually break up the slime, or if it does, you really don't want the components of broken down slime passing through your engine jets. I'd also say that my experience is that you can do just about anything to the fuel system, blow compressed air up the fuel hose to the tank, or change a filter or whatever, and it seems to work again -- for a while. But then starts sputtering after a small amount of use. Why? I think in my case it's because I still have slime in my tank. I'm pulling it off and cleaning it out. Unfortunately on the Kubota BX25 subcompact, pulling the tank is a major job.
Mine is doing it after about a half hour under load in 5th gear. I stop, let it sit for a few minutes, then it'll be fine again for another half hour. Im treating the fuel just in case.... It's puzzling.
@@DirtRoadLife1 you hit it right on the head, it's the fuel filter, just checked it and it's so black full of algae nothing could get through it. I have to treat the diesel I'm using. It's old but I got 275 gallons for free. I just ordered some biocide. Thanks for the video

Did the chemicals work? You have links for them? Dealing with a algae issue in my semi.. both 100 gallon tanks 😢

Algae doesn't grow in diesel fuel. Mold, fungus or bacteria can, but not Algae.

Interesting, I had a jeep once that acted like that and it was the in tank fuel filter, not sure if these tractors have one
