I live and work right around the corner from these guys. I've been a qualified aircraft engineer Since 2003. Their work is as good as anything i have seen in aviation or the military. If given my choice the S8 would be my preferred dive and family recreation boat. Love it. And not long and it will be mine.
2 things. (as always great video) 1. if you want a Real CAT 100% of what u want out of them. Get a fibreglass boat they're soo much better. quieter and more comfortable ride. + countless reasons i wont get into 2. as they say "we are always developing, we've changed our hulls multiple times over the years." the well made fibreglass CATS usually make a hull test it and NEVER change it. this just tells me they have trouble with hulls (May be minor problems or major therefore they've had to change the dimensions) kevlacats have used the same hull mould for the last 20+years Other brands have done even longer years with the same hull mould and no promlems as of yet. my advice is IF you want a CAT powercoat get fibreglass. IF you want a platealloy boat get a HalfCab mono-hull they are a better boat IF your after Plate Boats... If its a real cat it's FibreGlass
Middle class family budget and ambitions might be hard to define. For myself budget max $50k, under 6m - all-rounder for fishing, family cruising and easy to tow. Hence I bought new Whittley CW 1650
Understand where you’re coming from but I Disagree- I follow the captains vids and publications for offshore 6 mtr plus boats with all the fruit. My boat not quite 6 mtr and when you’re 20 k past the shelf and it stands up on you and your looking at the sun through the lip of wave about to crash over you and transom looks like bathtub - You have to look at better options. IMO I doubt you’ll see entry level rigs reviewed by the captain...
@@daniejohanson2644 I am big fan of Captain's vids and magazine and I understand that flashy boats sell magazine and vids better. All I suggest is to diversify the content to appeal to wider audience.
That's why we are stuck buying used boats 😂😂 I've got a albemarle 24 express that was made right here in North Carolina. One of the most proven boat builders in the world. I wish I had the money to buy a brand new 27 or 30 foot sportfishing boat. That would be heaven. Hell I'd probably move out of my house and live on the boat instead lol
Every Sailfish comes with a mig welder and 10 welding lessons at no extra cost. But wait there's more, in addition we will throw in an angle GRINDER if you are one of the first 20 callers
Love seeing good old Alstonville get a mention
Great video, always drive slow when I go past the factory, maybe one day 😀 proud of these local guys too.

plastic is weak. first log it hits it cracks. first shipping container or deadhead and it sinks.
The boat seems to have everything for a first time boat owner
Guys love your vids, but there is hardly ever anything for middle class family budget.
What would you guys consider middle class family budget? 20k, 50k, 80k?? Also what size boat would you say is middle of the road? 19 footer?

Great story 😁⚓
Did sailfish originally produce condor aluminium catamaran boats?
2:03 What do you use a chainsaw for when boat building ??
Chopping up the wooden pallets the aluminum sheets arrive on. Building ali boats means shit tonnes of wooden pallets to chop n burn.
mmm I wonder if they could export one to the UK?
That a hot boat
awesome aluminum cats
