Yes it has "some" flair which I assume is a bit difficult to accomplish with aluminum. Your on the right track but in my humble opinion you need more flair than you have to call it a Carolina flair. I would like to take a ride some day. It's a long swim from the States. Keep evolving
Do you know how many tonnes of force is needed too bend and mold a 6-7mm sheet of aluminium? now try flare a sheet downwards while maintaining the bend and curvature at the bow of the boat
@S_Chassis91 I'm sure you need a lot of force and the job is extremely difficult. My issue was using the term "Carolina flair". That term denotes an extreme flair which the Makaira does not yet have to my eye.
Gorgeous looking fishing vessel, I wish there was some sort minimum weather conditions that had to be used for boat ads thought. Yeah she flies but how's it handle a big swell with some crosswind?
My first plate alloy boat was made in Qld by Wayne (Yellowfin) Osborne in July 1983. It had 6 mm thick plate hull and framing. We added an extra 2m later when we had more $$. Tinnies are boats made by pressing of thinner alloy sheet. They are “pressed” boats.
The future of all marine vessels will be small waterplane area, single or twin hull boats. Both sail and powered vessels. They are also known as SWASH & SWATH. I believe in the future there will be jackup swath sail and powered boats similar to jackup oil rigs. So that the rougher & higher the swells get the higher the boat can be raised up off the surface of the ocean.
it looks wonderful, but the hulls don't come with a marine head till 32' i'd expect to see one on the 25'er. and the 25' doesn't even have a single burner, let alone a sink... its a short trip boat, not a day cruiser.
@@Makaira_Boats oh.. I was looking at the page, and didn't see them on the plans, i was also looking for marine head... didn't notice plumed electric toilet. also didn't see a darkwater holding. sorry. they LOOK beautiful though.
I saw that boat at the Seattle Boat Show yesterday, looked very good in person and got to meet Dan as well.

Flared hull is a winner. Great looking boat.

Spoken like someone who has absolutely no idea what they’re talking about
@@wozza77able Look up a Jarrett Bay, OBX Boatworks, or Jimmy Smith. You will see what I'm talking about.

Check out or Facebook, Instagram and TikTok for rough weather clips. We pride ourselves on testing our boats in ‘real’ conditions.
Revolutionary Allan, was trying to figure out how to get a flared bow on a plate boat. Interested in visiting once I get a chance to get home to NZ.
Didn't Quintrex have a flared Bow ?
Quintrex are not plate boats !!
A true plate boat is a 6mm hull. Anything less is classed as a tinny.

When are you coming to the USA? Do you have a Los Angeles dealer?
We are here! Tom-n-Jerry’s boat centre in Mt Vernon has a gen3 800 on their yard.
Do you offer plans and cnc cut files?

Can I export to Australia?
Yes we export all over the world, we have a few boats in Australia and more in production that will be shipped over .
@@Makaira_BoatsWould I deal with you directly? Considering 750 on ally trailer. Obviously motor bought over here. Thanks.

Why would anyone care about lower salt spray when you've got a fully enclose hardtop? I'd prefer more stability and safety
Never understood why people chose fibreglass over aluminium. Aluminium is far better in every way. Fibreglass should be banned.
You're a DA.
Where is this boat manufactured?
