As for socks, agar aap close toe aur pointed toe heels daal sakte ho then wear black socks under it ya aapke outfit se match karta socks. That will not look weird. Weird I think tab lagta hai jab front portion of your feet visible ho.
And if you don't have any other option than to wear open toe sandals, then go for skin color (as close to your skin tone as possible) ya aajkal sheer leggings aati hai fleece vali vo pehn sakte ho. Hope this helps. I will try to make one video on indian wear in future to cover this topic.
