That incident at Loew's was disturbing. The woman who was being pressured to delete a video she'd taken was absolutely right to refuse to do so.
100%!! No one can tell you that you can’t record, especially if you’re doing it for your own protection. And no one, not even the police can tell you to erase a video from your phone. As long as you’re not creating a situation in which you hinder the ability of law enforcement to execute their official duties, you can record whatever you want, for as long as you want, and you don’t have to erase it.
And when someone in a situation like this is asking you to erase the recording, DEFINITELY DON’T. If they ask, there’s a reason. And that reason is not ever in your best interest…because it’s in your best interest to document the event. I am SO proud of this woman for standing up for herself & not allowing people to take advantage of her. It’s clear that they’re trying because they think she doesn’t know her rights, and will fear police involvement. That’s racist all by itself!

@Kosmik I was being followed in a drugstore by a guy that was wearing civilian clothes. I had a feeling he was security, but I wasn't 100% sure. I brought my phone out and started taping when management told me that I was not allowed to tape on their property.

We were in an airport last week and a flight was delayed. A karen showed up who was upset because she was going to miss her connection. Instead of waiting in line with all the other people in the same predicament and letting the lady at the desk handle it, she demanded she be taken care of first and was so loud everyone in the next 6 gates around could hear her. The lady finally had to ask her to leave and she was livid. She was so belligerent but repeatedly accused the lady of talking down to her. The lady who worked for the airlines was nothing but calm and respectful even when Karen continued to make a fool of herself. I wouldn't be surprised if she ends up in one of these videos. She ended up missing the flight altogether. Lol.
That Lowes employee could not have handled that worse. He was completely wrong to escalate that situation the way he did. He had no right.

Bro I literally used to say this to assholes at the bar(worked at one) my other favorite one was to threats of violence on my person “Punch me dude and you will end up getting shipped to the hospital in a body bag” most would ask how I a 5’8 135lbs would send them to the hospital…I wouldn’t cause 14 bouncers no less than 200lbs is going to hammer you into a spit ball. To note, worked at a biker bar…and the bikers loved me so not the bouncers would be participating in the waffle stomp. Private business, actually. Serving the public doesn't = public store/property. Just to be clear - this seems to be a confusing distinction for some, but it's kind of important to recognize and acknowledge that a private business is still private property whether it serves the public directly or not. Regardless how people feel, that's the law. If your name or your business' name is on the title then that = you or your business owns the property, not the people visiting it for whatever reason. But she was discriminated against twice that day (by Karen and the employee trying to sweep it under the rug), which is illegal, so store policy be damned - she had every right to record the altercation for evidence to file charges the same as she would if she were on actual public property. But aside from recording a crime - be it a hate crime or a theft or an assault or whatever - no one has a right to record 'on' private property without permission. Furthermore, no one has a right to even be on private property. That's a privilege, and if visitors don't abide by 'house rules' then the owner has a right to trespass them and send them walking. We actually have the right to do it by force. The constitution works for everyone, not just consumers.

I can't stand Walmart employees especially in the hood probably the managers in the back hiding because they don't want to deal with irate pissed off customers like me. If I caught her working in my store I follow her. I despise Walmart one employee was following around because I have OTC and I rolled away on the motor scooter and then I started following her and chasing her around the store.
