The best deal! Crossgrading from a DAW that has 'most' of the features to one that has 'everything', is definitely a go-ahead.
Would love to see more videos on Dolby Atmos music mixing inside Nuendo!
best feature of nuendo is the bold red border around the selected event ;)
Please do an in-depth tutorial on how to do ADR.
Thanks for your comment. Could you please specify what exactly it is you expect from such a video? The ADR process per se? Or more of a run-down of this functionality in Nuendo?
There are already a couple of Nuendo ADR videos in this channel.
@@Nuendo I'm interested too. You could include everything there's need to know, from the basics to the most advanced stuff, all in a unique video.
@@Nuendo Both. From start to finish to help out us newbies.
@@TheEJ1408 The videos are not in-depth though.
Are the prices on upgrades/updates higher on Nuendo compared to Cubase?
you should add the possibility to add a positive or negative offset to the midi clock (as ableton live does), now you need something like an erm multiclock to sync cubase/nuendo and hardware sequencer. I would like to be wrong but i doubt i am.
Nuendo 11.0.30
Is there any way at all to get greater contrast/distinction with selected events? The red outline doesn't cut it. Cubase's inverted selection was extremely clear.
Is it possible to crossgrade from two different DAW:s together and get lower crossgrading price? I have Cubase 11 Pro and Studio One 5.5 Pro.
I will definitely switch to nuendo for music production / Dolby Atmos / UA-cam work flow from Ableton Lite I just prefer nuendo more than Ableton it's more for live performances
Is it possible to import and use your Cubase key commands into Nuendo?
Yes. Anything and everything used in Cubase, including track presets and all, can be imported to Nuendo.
Wow, need to try
When I Crossgrade to Nuendo from Cubase, does it mean that I lose my Cubase license?
Yes
yes but I really consider nuendo as a cubase pro plus
it is 95% of cubase features ( i think no cubase transit but there is alternative )
and more plugins/ features directed toward postproduction area
but the only down side here is that, all new major updates usually come to cubase 1st then nuendo
so keep that in mind
Yes. But Nuendo has everything that Cubase has. Also, note that updates come earlier to Cubase than to Nuendo, and that's coz Nuendo updates contain whatever got added to Cubase and additional features. But yea, once crossgraded, you cannot use Cubase with this license.
But how about < music production > ? I mean midi and audio performances within vst instruments Like kontakt for big-productuons- orchestral mockups styles ?
No difference there. Nuendo includes the exact same music feature Cubase does.
No issues, only limit is your hardware :) I use Kontakt, UVI and others on a regular basis in my projects. I also like using stacked effects chains - Nuendo takes it all in stride.
Is Nuendo sluggish when navigating within the DAW compared to Cubase because of the extra features?
no. same as cubase
@@tiscover How about the loading time when starting up the program compared to Cubase?
@@yeppy013 no difference. its the same code under the hood, so the apps act and load the same. think of it as Cubase with extra plugins
Would have been nice to have an upgrade sale, since every other pathway was on sale. Salty Tears.
Do you lose your Cubase license if you Crossgrade to Nuendo?
will it work on a windows 7 PC? I still use cubase 8 pro, also will I get to go back to using cubase once the crossgrade is done?
Nuendo works on Windows for me. And once crossgraded, the license becomes 'Nuendo-only' so you won't be able to open Cubase with it. I had the same query a couple of years ago when I did the crossgrade.
Nuendo has everything that Cubase has. It can even open all Cubase Pro files. Any new feature that comes to Cubase, eventually comes to Nuendo as well, along with more additional features.
@@pmishraofficial thanks, what about things like plug-ins, do I have to re-install them all? I have invested a lot of money into 3rd party plug-ins, around £1500-£2000.
@@tyremanguitars No need to reinstall plugins. Just use the same plugin path as Cubase.
Check the Steinberg website for Nuendo requirements. I think I saw that only Windows 10 was supported for Nuendo. Once you’ve done the crossgrade, you “relinquish” your Cubase license and “gain” a Nuendo license. You will no longer be able to open and use Cubase unless you buy another license for it. All Cubase files will be useable in Nuendo.
@@seandimaria9509 yeah I'm sticking with cubase for now and don't regret it.
♥
Is nuendo the same as Cubase so would I be able to make music with it or I'll have to Cubase I can only get one software or unless I stick to ableton and bounce out stems for surround sound in nuendo
Nuendo is more "complete" while Cubase has everything a composer/musician/record and mix engineer needs. So, yes they are the same in sound quality and workflow. You can create your sound and your songs on Nuendo.
I was using Nuendo 3 from 2009 to 2013 before switching to Cubase Elements 6.
it would be cool to finally have selected events visible in Nuendo. almost 1 pixel red outline isn't working very well and it is the biggest flaw of Nuendo design for me. It is affecting workflow, and I cannot imagine what it is like for people with color blindness.
If there was some option to affect thickness of outline, or add a little inner shadow/glow to te event that woudn't affect overall colors, any level of customization would be great. For me that is number one reason to crossgrade back to Cubase. Doing some heavy editing is just nerve wracking now.
Hi and thank you for your comment. We’ve received this particular request from many former Cubase users so that such a preference will be introduced with an update in the near future.
@@Nuendo Hi, I am just about to do the crossgrade from Cubase Pro (running a trial of Nuendo 11 now and loving it so far). I kind of like the red outline, but if you are going to make this more customizable, I would love to be able to choose the colour myself. It could be a part of the general colour palette customization in Preferences, for example :)
@@Nuendo I'm trying out Nuendo 11 right now and I must agree that those red regions tend to be quite difficult to see the selected regions. It would be great if users can switch between 'highlighted' mode or the current 'outline' mode but with more customization with the line thickness/color/shades etc as stated in the comments.
Oh I can find a million of video features that other daws have and i can only wish nuendo would have... I find such tittles a bit infuriating. Especially since we are all aware that Reaper exists.
