    00:04 E.Piano1 1-1 Tine EP/Amp

    01:30 E.Piano1 1-2 Tine EP/Phaser
    The same tine-based piano, with a classic phaser setting, as made famous on countless classic rock and soul recordings.
    01:59 E.Piano1 1-3 Tremolo EP
    This is another essential setup, characterized by the unmistakable stereo tremelo effect.
    02:38 E.Piano1 1-4 Dyno EP

    03:19 E.Piano1 1-5 VPM Piano
    An essential digital instrument of the mid-'80s and beyond, this classic synthesizer made a wide range of electric piano sounds.
    03:53 E.Piano1 1-6 VPM Tine
    A more cutting and strong variation of the previous sound.
    04:27 E.Piano2 2-1 Reed EP 1
    Perhaps the original electric piano, first released in the late-'50s, used by countless famous musicians.
    05:10 E.Piano2 2-2 Reed EP 2
    The same reed-based electric piano, with effects settings emulating the classic "logical" sound.

    Released in the mid-'70s, this was the very first portable piano really close to the real thing.
    06:24 E.Piano2 2-4 SG-1D Piano

    An innovative, accurate and expressive piano sound, created in the late '80s with a popular digital keyboard/synthesizer.
    07:04 E.Piano2 2-6 MIDI Grand
    This is a layered sound, famously used on so many pop hits of the '80s and '90s. It blends acoustic and electric pianos wth some extra "helpers" for a powerful ballad sound.

    Born as a portable harpsichord, this instrument became one of the most popular and distinctive timbers ever.

    Doesn't this instrument have those wonderful sounds that bring back so many memories. Wow! This thing sounds terrific and seems to have such an easy interface to use. The sounds are rich and lush I could imagine listening to this thing all day. Another fantastic creation from the Korg team. I just love it!! We are living in an era when there are so many beautiful keyboard instruments coming out all the time. It's just amazing!

    I checked out the "other" sounds on this instrument. Realistic strings, Mellotron, and surprisingly the JUMP sound from the old Oberheim. Still the best Rhodes sound on the market. Acoustic piano and organ all sound excellent. Most musicians that play live shows primarily use B&B sounds. Anything else can be added with a modern poly synth, like a Korg Minilogue XD. Great combination at an affordable price.

      ah, demos. I was going to say, how did you kick bass on the tonewheel stuff and pitch bend on the clavs;) Might have to get one of these again just for the EPs. One thing I didn't like is the panning tremolo turns mono when you use the amp sim, due to the single tube.

    Cool to hear it all! This has such great tone on the EPs.
    Are clavs 5 & 6 supposed to be variations on the Pianet? And are there recommended EQ settings to get the bril/treb/med/soft switch sounds on the clav?

    • @CrossCuntryFranco

    Can someone please answer this question? Since i've been wanting one of these lately...
    Is the Wurlitzer emulation too harsh? In all the videos i've seen the wurly on this Korg sounds very trebly, like with natural drive. I know that the wurly is famous for that "bark", but in this Korg the bark sounds too prominent.
    So my question really is: Are you able to get more soft / sublte sounds with the wurly? Maybe tweaking the EQ?
    Cheers!

    • @Noah-kg4yj
      @Noah-kg4yj 5 років тому

      I'm sure any drive you here is probably just the tube. There's amp modeling inside the keyboard so turning that off should get you a softer sound.

    ahhh if there was only a cp-80 in there and a marimba/vibe and it's a perfect instrument. I wonder tho is the grandstage better than this? it looks ugly and have worse user interface and no Tube amp to see, but def more sounds and dive - in - deep options.. what would you suggest?

    • @PianoManChuck
      @PianoManChuck  7 років тому

      SV-1 is the coolest looking board out there, and probably the best at recreating all the vintage sounds! If that's all you need, this is a great board! If you want more, the GrandStage is supposed to be a cross between the SV-1 and the Kronos (it may not look great, but its a powerhouse)!
