Too bad the objectivity went out the window in this video, the fact that DJI gives you 10 bit abd Ace pro can only give you 8 bit with that processor tells you who will provide a better quality for video, also the batteries? there is no equal, DJI wins period. The front screen is also another super plus that Ace pro couldnt bring to the table... Be objective please.
Personally, I prefer flipping the screen for selfie instead of depending on the front screen that the OA5 has. Also, I'll do a separate video talking about the 10-bit color and HDR video that I've missed.
At around the 5-minute mark, I noticed the Insta360 ACE Pro 2 really does have some color bleed issues in low light. And when I paused the video, the Insta360 footage looked a bit blurrier.

@@FadetoBlack1463 Here's what I found: Insta360's Active HDR technology maps HDR capture to an SDR color space. So, it seems like this is not real HDR and you will not get that HDR badge on UA-cam if you upload straight from the camera. If you have an HDR capable screen like an iPhone, macbook, or a decent modern TV - you can check out what that looks like on my channel. HLG HDR which is available on oa5 comes with 4 things: 1) Bigger rec2100 color space. So, essentially more greens and blues. 2) In that color space, the number of color variations is much larger (10bit vs 8bit is 1 billion vs 16.7 million possible colors). 3) HLG captures the alpha channel, so instead of showing the same color lit more brightly as a different color, it can show the same color but with more brightness. This makes a difference on HDR screens as the video will essentially take over the screen brightness and will be able to brighten up parts of the screen. 4) Separate exposure of dark and bright areas when filming to improve the dynamic range. I still can't believe though that both of these cameras get destroyed by last year's iPhone 15 pro. I've got a couple of yt channels where iPhone 15 pro is my main camera, I tried uploading a couple of videos filmed with OA5 and analytics suggest viewers don't want any of that action camera footage.
If you use multi cameras and you color grade it’s a nightmare trying to get a consistent look mixing 8 bit and 10 bit clips. There is a huge difference between 16.7 million colors and a billion colors. And to boot, if you say it’s a “Pro” camera, it needs to have at least 10 bit color like your 2 main competitors. If you are only using one camera, and not color grading, then I take the Ace Pro 2 eight days a week. Unfortunately, it won’t work for me because of only having 8 bit color.
Pro tips for any action cam. If you want jitter free stabilization in any kind of lighting. The shutter speed needs to be high like 1/150. This is almost impossible in low light, unless you have a physical stabilization like gimbal or optic stabilization. Stop asking action cam for low light performance and get yourself a better tool like pocket 3 or mirrorless
High shutter speed will require high ISO, which affects image quality with noise, and it won't do any good for such a small sensor size. I'll be really interested to see you mounting a camera gimbal on a bike or skateboard, Pocket 3 is more of a vlogging cam rather than being an actual rugged action camera.
@@klgadgettv higher ISO (more noise) or darker image. I would choose those instead of the jitter that cannot be fixed at all in post. I have had legit big gimbal with gopro on my helmet when snowboarding, does it work...yes and no. Gimbal takes the cornering badly when making tight turns and its very heavy. I have had pocket 3 multiple times on chest mount when I cycle, it's pretty good but its not really wide enough for proper POV. Handlebar with the shake was a no go for the pocket 3, it just cant handle the vibrations. In chest mount your body takes the vibrations so there its fine.
@@kaltask1 I love your idea of the chest mount with the Pocket 3, if only if it had a ultrawide angle glass that can give it a wider POV, that would be perfect.

I prefer the colors of the Ace Pro 2 for a straightforward result. Both have their own advantages while capturing the moment is what really matters for someone lazy in editing😅
And in which part am I not being fair? I think I've mentioned properly on how these cameras are better than one another, and if you checked the pinned comment, I've made a response video adding on my thoughts of the OA5 Pro.
I still prefer the Ace Pro 2 for its versatility and delivers top-notch quality in any setting, making it perfect for all event. Its just too easy for my laziness 😂
Wow, thanks for the review. I was really surprised at how the Ace Pro 2 performs in capturing the image details especially at night.. loving the color. Time to get one
Ngl Action 5 may be better in background audio, but the quality of the video is still not as good as Insta360 Ace Pro 2 + Who even use audio now for sport, put music better 🥱
Our response to your comments: ua-cam.com/video/NumsfWZ2qNk/v-deo.html
10-bit video, HLG HDR and small screen on OA5 Pro discussed.
the voice sounds way more natural on the action 5 despite having a bit of background noise. Ace pro 2 sounds like an alien.
Agreed
Ace pro 2 got settings can set for background sound also
@@ifive88g63 i am yet to see a video showing the sound being good. Why would this possibly be the only way every video is showing it? Seems odd no?

dji의 전면 화면은 렌즈의 일부분만 보여줄뿐이야. 차라리 나는 인스타360의 화면을 선택하겠어.

Ace Pro 2 offers unmatched versatility with its low light capability and Leica filters!
Is it possible to connect the hollyland lark m2 with ace pro 2 via Bluetooth? Or how it's connected?
This video is so biased that I cannot trust the review, sorry.
😆
It's just a comparison.

sound reduction is much better on the osmo action.
The Osmo does a really good job in picking up sound, but if you are in noisy environments the background noise can sound too loud.
For me, insta360 was too much noise reduction. Dji is more natural sound. We still can hear the voice clearly with the ambient sound not too loud
Can this be used as a web cam and if so what resolution
Ace pro 2 perfoms better in low light environments + precise underwater colour, save a lot time on editing 😎
glad to see Insta360 is following up, meaning we can have more options.
Is Dlog-m a pro log?
What about low light comparison between ace pro and ace pro 2?
Hello how would low light image of Ace Pro 2 compare to Osmo Pocket 3's low light performance?
Will do a comparison on that.

Mic padu sangat ni. Detail kat bb macam dji ok lagi.
Ya dji mcm studio quality mic, tapi sad la dia x noise cancellation feature.
The lack of 10 bit is this camera's achilles heel.
In what way?
No doubt it lacks that, but for most users it isn't a deal breaker.
